As always David thank yu so much for the review on this very particular stand alone controller , there are so many people who made reviews about it but i always find yours the best . I am still using my Numark Idj Pro & still enjoy using it but i may buy this for a different purpose and i find it very intriguing as well .

Just bought this as a secondary unit I can carry about .... I already have pioneer cdjs and mixer.... I travel around alot and want this so I can DJ when I'm not at home...... I also wanted to try out the Denon engine system to see if I can get on with it.... Without paying too much. Looking forward to seeing what this will bring
One of the better reviews of this unit…I bought this unit but returned it because of an issue with the cue button freezing while scratching (had 2 do the same thing)…I think that’s an easy software fix but for my professional gigs, just not ready to give up my serato with pioneer gear for now…with that stated, don’t be discouraged to buy this unit if you’re reading this comment…I think it’s a wonderful device, especially for beginners and intermediates…because if this unit, I’m now considering the prime stuff…well played InMusic

I found out that I can use my zoom H1 hooked to the RCA out to record with in addition to recording on the unit I am also wondering if the RCA out can be hooked to a stereo receiver and play through that just curious

How much does Mixing/scratching/transitioning songs add to your show? Thanks for you advice. I'm getting back into DJ-ing for the social outlet. I work at home with my day job and mis being out with music and people. I still have my Bose speakers/subs/lights from years ago. My question is regarding a mixer. Like this Numark Mixstream Pro (currently $499). My dream would be able to transition songs with echo and BPM matching but I have a lot going on with my day job. This unit does not require a laptop. But do I even need it? Advice?

what is the controller stand you are using? i was looking at laptop stands but i dont think those are big enough for the mixstream

Some say Numark has updated this device with more controls on effects. Now you can control the amount of the effect via the touchscreen, but how will I know if I am buying the updated version? Is it written somewhere on the device?
I was able to pick up a Denon refurbished Prime Go for the same price, about $600. Both are nice units and are unique in different ways. Not in love with the bare bones Prime software, with so many options available with Djay Algoriddim and Virtual DJ, maybe someday we’ll have an option to use other software w the Go.
Hope you can adjust the font size on that thing, because those words look microscopic on there.
@thedjhookup So I just bought this controller. Something I don't understand with the DMX controls is where does the adapter plug into? USB A goes into the controller, but you said the DMX end goes into a lighting rig? I have a Chauvet 7 channel controller so I'd wonder if this controller would replace that, or plug into it? My thought is the cable would go from the controller, straight into my slimpar 56's which I daisy chain to my other DMX lights. And I wouldn't need the DMX controller anymore?

There is in Engine OS, but not on the Mixstream.

The small Browse knob makes it look cheap. They could have given us a better know placed where the high pass low pass would have been and not a fan of the cue points that when pressed continue to play not pause but all in all you get a lot for your money.

I wish the screen was raised and the unit was battery powered. That would’ve been perfection.
I feel this! But then again, the lack of battery is surely a big reason why this is cheaper than the PRIME Go.

It's only 12v. You can easily find a power bank to power it. I'll try it once mine arives

@@m-stat9 I no longer have the mixstream, returned it when the rev7 was announced. I did get it to work though, I used the talentcell 12v 11000mah to power the mixstream. I do wish I still had it. The fader was already bleeding on mine.

My external speakers are just a small jack plug how do I connect to the unit without buying more speakers
The only one thing that I don't like about the numark controllers are the bad taste in the design of the product, big fonts no minimalist, they need to hire a new product designer. For example this one in the video the name of the product at the top are very big and bad design.

Numark built budget bedroom DJ. They are not professional. Don't use it in a professional gig.
Does the job and can be used in any gig "expert".
