Pro DJ gear only needs to have XLR outputs to connect to a PA system in my opinion. It has 4 pads but you can reach the second bank of hotcues by pressing the cue button twice, along with the other pad modes. Also, it has effects on it and the Engine software has effects. The Pro Go can definitely be used professionally without issue. It's an amazing piece of gear and its the best standalone for the money in my opinion. I could have bought any one of them, but after everything taken in I decided on the Pro Go. You literally can take it anywhere and as long as there's a wifi connection to the internet you can DJ....
Very good video, im doubting with numark pro go and SC live 2, i wanna a full portable stuff, and add a external battery to the SC live 2, but im wondering if Its worth the price diference between numark go and SC live 2, because only a lot of more fx, little bit better sound at own speakers, and little bit better material quality construction between this two? And pro go IS full portable but maybe IS a toy. Because Both are plastic right? So im in this doubt, i Will apreciate a full comparision, because numark is the lowest line of inmusic but this sc live 2 i dont know if IS worth It at all. Im talking by second hand buy. Really thanks.
As an ameture DJ doing mostly small private events (Company picnics, private parties, family gatherings, house parties, Etc), I would say that the unit is Great for my needs. Not being a pro DJ, it still offers enough effects in digital quality that I can add flare to my shows and music, interesting fades, Flange, Phaser, Delay, etc... And it can all be made to sound absolutely professional without too much know-how into the pro DJ space. And with the DMX control through Soundswitch micro USB interface, You Really can program a SOLID light show to control from within the unit. Good first timer gear. Great introduction into DMX and other computer controlled lighting and mixing in general. Lots of YT and community videos to learn from. My ONLY complaints are as follows. 1. I would LOVE to see a way to BUY mp3/wav HD music from WITHIN the deck. Love to be able to stream a set, and upon noting a very positive reaction to that set, just be able to buy that entire sets worth of music easily from within the player. (Buy Mix Tracks, or Buy all tracks streamed during this session, etc.) But that's more an Engine DJ thing, and not a Mixstream Pro go / Numark thing. 2. This unit would be UTTERLY INCREDIBLE, if it only had a 2.5mm SSD or m.2 SSD Slot in it / on it... Hot Swappable 2.5 dual drive bays would ROCK! up to 8TB of built in storage? Protected inside the unit in a rubber mount like in a laptop? (This can't change the price point more than 40-50$, and I for one would have spent the extra in a heartbeat) 3. Direct expansion and integration with a Launchpad Mk3 Pro. Only 4 pads on each deck... No problem. Engine DJ should be able to have a plugin written for launchpad expansion and integration with something like mixstream pro go. Have the default config be 2 setf of extra pads. Illuminated accordingly. If these two companies would play a little better ball together (Ableton and Numark) They could collaborate and make some INTERESTING and HIGHLY USEFUL integrations happen. Just a matter of sharing a little API info... (Cough Cough, hope they read this... Cough cough) ;-)
@@digitaldjtips Absolutely. And i'll certainly skill up to that over time and purchase one. But for a raw ameture, a little more connectivity for a few more bucks would have been a welcome addition to the Pro Go. Certainly not a show stopper for me. Prime4+ is definitely not a starter unit :-) The Go (Battery) was a good move too, acting like a UPS almost. Smart engineering. But the storage being lacking and only 2 USB ports are really just minor annoyances. It still an excellent unit for starters.
I'm trying to figure out what is the difference between the older "Pro" and the newer "Pro+" models. I'm starting to see the older one show up on the used market and I wondering if I should get one.
I guess this was the big surprise that Numark was releasing. I'm a bit surprised it's yet another version of mixstream at $800 this is out of my league. I am still hoping someone would make one that is a standalone with motorized job wheels, small and size at a sub $500 price. I'm keeping my fingers crossed, but this is a lovely unit just a little bit more than I want to pay though. Let's hope the price gets reduced sometime in the future. Thank you for the upload very informative and entertaining.
Typically when they discount a unit they are prepping us for a new release as I just found out. Just bought a mixed stream pro 2 months ago at $500 now this.

@@steveott1884 it does analyze them onboard if you have not done so already. the search functionality onboard uses the engine library database on your memory drive, created when you use the Engine DJ computer software, instead of the internal file system (because of discrepancies in file system formats like FAT32)
