I watched all of the MixStream Pro Go reviews and i can say yours is the best! You actually show what this unit is all about - you understood the assignment! Cheers!
Saw your review, found it in my local store and picked it up without hesitation... so excited to learn and put my usb to dj on it without laptop or wires . Thanks Carlo you made my day
This sounds really appealing compared to an ipad and something like a Wego controller. Love that at least a few companies are still offering options for users to pay once, instead of mandatory subscriptions
Absolutely! I'm not a fan of those monthly/yearly subscriptions. They cost more over time. Given the option, I'd always just like to pay once, and be done with it!
Numark has basically improved on everything that needed work from the Mixstream Pro and took everything that made the mixstream pro and made it better. They really did have something going for them with the Mixstream Pro, and this controller proved it. If I could trade my FLX-6 with a Mixtream Pro Go I would in a heartbeat
I just got my Mixstream Pro Go the other day and I'm loving it. The speakers sound amazing and its so cool to be able to move anywhere and start djing. This weekend I'm going to take it to the park and just play and mix my playlists for fun. Great review Carlo. I agree with you, the Pro Go is an amazing controller and Numark really did a good job with the Mixstream in general, adding a battery to it was a no brainer and they knocked it out of the park!
I love your humor and your honesty. it is indeed a serious bit of kit though. it is almost perfected for a starter mobile controller that can be used professionally if desired.
Great video. You made us understand how this works and for dedicated DJs like me you made me want this even more thanks for making this video so I can understand how this thing works and that recharges and you can play it on the go no problem. This is one of the best inventions ever made that I've been thinking about before this even was invented but mines will just a little bit more in the system awesome and good luck to all DJs to get one of these
I think everyone is glossing over the INSANE value for money here. Engine OS is so powerful it's basically a full computer compared to what Pioneer brings. For my situation this is the ultimate piece of kit: having fun with friends. So easy to use, easy to setup and not as scary as having to use someone else's laptop or USB's. Just take it by bike, browse some music together and have fun! Party get's bigger? Add speakers and BOOM. Basically everything you need.
Indeed! That's honestly why this iteration won me over. Yes, it's slightly more expensive, BUT the fact that it's a totally portable, well-sized system? Oh man, sign me up!
I own a REV-7 and just purchased the Prime Go last week, as a backup (and for smaller gigs). Whilst in the shop, I did try a few controllers and was very pleasantly surprised with the FX paddles on the Numark. It definitely didn't feel like a budget piece of kit (unlike the SC Live 4, which was very cheap and plasticky). The limitations of only having 4 FX, and the lack of having the option for 8 pads (the Prime Go can switch between banks, giving you access to 8 pads using just the 4), ultimately made my mind up to go with the Prime Go, but I wouldn't judge anybody for choosing the Numark. As you say in the very, it's amazing value for money, and I'd definitely recommend it to people, in the same way I'd recommend the Hercules controller with the motorised platters to anybody who can't justify spending £1900 on a REV-7.
Indeed! It's funny how so many comments have been saying that Numark is a cheap brand, when that's no longer the case. The Pro Go felt so much more premium than what folks give it credit for. But yeah, the lack of more performance pads will draw a sour note for some. But still, amazing value for money overall!
Love my og mixstream the firmware updates keep coming from inmusic can't wait for the xy pad effects to be added my only gripe is I would love slightly smaller jogs and a longer pitch fader
Those are the problems that carried over from the OG one haha, but the battery really makes up for it if you ask me! Plus those Engine DJ updates! Daaaaang!
the big logo in the top in pure white is a distraction, the logo most be minimalistic and smaller in both side in the top, the speakers most be in the top, and beacause it comes with the battery TSA will open the luggage beacause is big for carry on the plane whit you, i dont buy it only for that reason. I recomend the denon prime go a real GO.
Well, I wouldn't say totally standard, but for controllers whose main audience DJ online or stay at home and just like playing for friends, then most definitely!
That looks awesome, I use MPC500s when I have to play on batteries, so it would be nice to get a battery setup that was built to DJ on. I will have to put in some serious work this summer in order to afford it though.
Thank you sow much for bringing the denon dj prime go into to the video now I know mate I will be getting one as soon as possible mate the new dj numark dj Pro looks wikid dj

You should write books for a living man! This was honestly one of the most interesting comments I've read ever. I can feel the conflict! In any case, the volume of the SC Live 4's speakers can be adjusted, so if they're too loud for you, you can adjust. Of course, if you're playing them too loud for you in a small room, it might be the same for all your guests, so just keep things balanced there buddy
Actually, that's the thing, they function pretty well as monitors! They were designed to be pretty loud and bass-y in small rooms, and I actually had a good time using them
They were! But I had a few misgivings with the Prime Go. In fairness, the Prime Go was pretty much on its own, so I'd argue and say that Numark is just finally giving them competition in this field
There's a knob to control the speakers haha. You can switch them off if you need to save battery life. That should actually extend it to something like 5 hours
@DJ Carlo just found a store in the UK with 3 and its the only place I could find em £725 which I thought was a good deal as their just releast ,me and the kids will be on Twitch this weekend somewhere random, then somewhere else random next week 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Enjoy the rest of your day bruv 😉
All Denon need to do now is sort the Engine Dj software. I can’t believe I have to delete my collection and reimport it to transfer new tracks to my SC6000’s. Also, you can’t delete orphaned tracks from your collection 🤦🏼♂️ New features are all well and good, but fixing issues that are two years old should be a priority at this point in time. 🙂
@@djcarlo I have already. It looks like a lot of people have posted similar comments, but there has been minimal engagement and no action as yet from Denon. Engine OS is fine, just Engine Dj has the issues.
@@djstuc Sync manager has never really worked. I created the first collection and ejected the player and went back to it two days later. All new folders from Serato were imported Ok, but the sync manager would not recognise the change. Even after deleting the database, I couldn’t get the sync manager to update without wiping the ssd on the SC6000. It worked after the wipe, but the issue returned on the next update with the sync manager. This is the only work around I’ve found that works. Others on the Denon forums have had similar issues.
@@djstuc I’m not dragging anything anywhere at the moment. A sync manager should do just that. Import the Serato folder updates then export to the external drive. We shouldn’t have to drag files to folders or delete databases to get things to work.
That's....something I haven't really studied yet Alex. Mixing with Dubstep & Future bass follows the same formats as in my How To DJ for Beginners video, but using a DAW is bordering on production, which is unfortunately outside my coverage. Sorry!
dont know why they dont scrap the speakers, make room for larger tempo fader, 4 more pads and some more buttons for effects(or sound effects in the extra pads), i hope pioneer is going to join the battery powered standalones
Quite honestly, the battery being in there made the speakers make sense to me! It's now an all around boom box that you can DJ on. My full thoughts on it are detailed in the review as well. Hopefully though, we get a full sized standalone with a battery. That'd be awesome!
@@djcarlo I think the speakers only make sense if you were to play djing in a car for example, but even then a simple portable bluetooth speaker(everyone has one nowadays and they're cheap + can also be connected with a wire for low latency) could outperform the performance of the built in speakers. Other places already have a sound systems. I just think the times you would use the built in speakers are so little that it isnt worth it to make room for speakers on the controller, since budget portable quality speakers exist.
All imma say the day Engine DJ get Stems ISSA WRAP thats literally the ONLY thing thats holding them back from beating out serato and Rekordbox Unless either of the 2 come out with standalone OS
Well, rumors say they're supposed to be doing something about that, but those are just rumors! Hopefully they're true! Just gotta hang tight to see what Engine DJ brings us in the future
Hey carlo 👋 question, would you recommend this to someone wanting to become a dj? My laptop just died on me so that complicates me wanting the flx 4. Would appreciate the feedback. Love your videos!
You ever just start DJing at the table while waiting for your food to come out? Gave me a bit of a laugh. But seriously. Plopping that thing down on pipes and just your knee worked? I was feeling nervous watching those bits. It's gonna fall and turn into a durability testing video by accident.
Lols, always charge up before heading to a gig! Heck, laptops nowadays can go for hours at gigs without being plugged in too, but I charge them up before I leave
I mean it would be ideal it’s a wireless set up those built in speakers could only do so much having connectivity to a Bluetooth speaker would only make it better especially if you wanted to be mobile with out having wires hooked up hence the Bluetooth speaker
Hi i wanted to ask this question For DJ-ing is the Macbook better than Windows Because i started to dj for a year now and many people told me that i have to buy a macbook? Whats your opinion?

You mentioned the Serato and Virtual DJ as working softwares for this beauty... does that work with Rekordbox as well?
Not this one unfortunately. Rekordbox likes to keep to its own equipment haha
Great video ❤❤❤❤❤
Any help with where we can buy one yet ?
Love you'll videos bruv ❤❤❤❤❤
They should be available at most major DJ Gear retailers now!
@DJ Carlo just found a store in the UK with 3 and its the only place I could find em £725 which I thought was a good deal as their just releast ,me and the kids will be on Twitch this weekend somewhere random, then somewhere else random next week 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Enjoy the rest of your day bruv 😉
no power love it but you can get the same with a laptop and djj 400 and speaker 👍🏻👍🏻
While you *can* do that, I wouldn't mind taking just this along to a gig. It's like comparing the 90s to what we have on smartphones nowadays haha
If they could figure out a way to get that screen to tilt ill buy it
Not too many standalones in this category have that feature still! Maybe when screens get less costly in the future 😆
All Denon need to do now is sort the Engine Dj software. I can’t believe I have to delete my collection and reimport it to transfer new tracks to my SC6000’s. Also, you can’t delete orphaned tracks from your collection 🤦🏼♂️
New features are all well and good, but fixing issues that are two years old should be a priority at this point in time. 🙂
Oh dang, I didn't know about that Engine DJ snafu! Best to keep writing on their message boards about it. They should patch that up!
What bag were you using towards the beginning of this video? Thanks for the info and keep on with the great vids 🤙🏾
Which bag? I don't think I had a bag in this video
@@djcarlo @2:48 your pulling it out of a bag lol!!
sir. we want a vedio about how to mix dubstep/ riddem/ future bass like virtual riot/ illenium.
and how they create mix's using DAW.???
That's....something I haven't really studied yet Alex. Mixing with Dubstep & Future bass follows the same formats as in my How To DJ for Beginners video, but using a DAW is bordering on production, which is unfortunately outside my coverage. Sorry!
@@djcarlo thanks for your words...❤️❤️❤️❤️🙏🙏🙏
The speakers on the SC Live 4 are unironcally great to use as monitors for little bar shows and other small venues.
They are! The speakers on this guy are not bad too!
dont know why they dont scrap the speakers, make room for larger tempo fader, 4 more pads and some more buttons for effects(or sound effects in the extra pads), i hope pioneer is going to join the battery powered standalones
Bro between Omni Duo and Numark midstream pro go, be honest which one you like?
I'm kind of torn, as I really like the look of the Omnis, as well as the OS, but the the Pro Go has built in speakers.
All imma say
the day Engine DJ get Stems
ISSA WRAP
thats literally the ONLY thing thats holding them back from beating out serato and Rekordbox
Unless either of the 2 come out with standalone OS
Well, rumors say they're supposed to be doing something about that, but those are just rumors! Hopefully they're true! Just gotta hang tight to see what Engine DJ brings us in the future
The dream of carrying the coffin and DJing at the same time can be realized (MIX Astronomia XDDD
Oh nooooo hahahaha, that's bringing the coffin dancers to a whole new level!
You mentioned SD cards and thumb drive , a external hard drive will not be a problem then?
I'm not sure, but it shouldnt be! I guess it'll depend on how big the external is!
Hey brotha. Are you able to go hamster on this crossfader?
From what I recall, no, but there may have been an Engine DJ update that I just missed!
i wish engine DJ could work with rekordbox and connect it via midi
So do I. But my suspicions tell me Pioneer wants to keep their exclusivity :(
Will they ever make a stand alone with spinning platters?
Probably somewhere down the line! Though it might not be battery-powered; it'll be heavy enough with the motor and CPU as is hahaha
Hey carlo 👋 question, would you recommend this to someone wanting to become a dj? My laptop just died on me so that complicates me wanting the flx 4. Would appreciate the feedback. Love your videos!
Yes absolutely! This is a pretty great all in one controller!
I Played on one of these and i didnt like it.
Id rather stay with nativ Instruments.
still a good idea for a 100% standalone device
That's fair! I tell everyone to go for the controllers that really suit them!
What do mean, control our dmx lights?
They can control compatible smart lights
@@djcarlo oh ok, but not regular dmx lights?
You ever just start DJing at the table while waiting for your food to come out? Gave me a bit of a laugh. But seriously. Plopping that thing down on pipes and just your knee worked? I was feeling nervous watching those bits. It's gonna fall and turn into a durability testing video by accident.
Hahaha, I get you, but yeah! It's pretty light, so propping it up on my lap is nothing
salute
Thanks buddy! 🫡
Can you do something with the new FLX-10 !
When I get it! Been waiting at the edge of my seat for it to clear customs in The Philippines!
@@djcarlo omg yess i was looking for this comment, im so ready to see a video with the flx10! recently got one and i love it and love youre videos
@@djcarlo Cant wait! Keep up the good work, really enjoy your videos
Running out of battery at a high paying gig priceless. 😂
Lols, always charge up before heading to a gig! Heck, laptops nowadays can go for hours at gigs without being plugged in too, but I charge them up before I leave
is the soundswitch feature built-in hardware, what I mean is it comes with a DMX transmitter built in? it sound like that on your video
It is! It's been like that with a few on the InMusic standalone controllers too. Given, you'll need to connect to your local wifi
Any carrying cases you could recommend that would fit this on? A proper bag or something would be fine as well.
There's lots of them Ryan! I'm not too familiar with the brands though; some of the ones I know don't come with brands and are custom-made.
@@djcarlo Ahh gotcha. Nevertheless thanks for the reply! Your videos are always super helpful.
Check out Gator G-club 28” messenger bag, it’s what I got for my Mixstream Pro and it’s a fantastic case
Should I go with the Denon sc live 4 instead if I can afford it?
I'd highly recommend that one actually. Though it loses out on portability
Hi is there a certain laptop i need to install my serato lite because the one i have now keeps failing to install the program
Check Serato's website for details! They should have the system requirements there :)
All Denon needs now is to get Engine desktop in a better shape. Then they will wreck Pioneer.
Oh yeah! It's pretty dang rudimentary compared to all the bells and whistles in the controllers
@@djcarlo Indeedy. Great break down as usual my friend!
cooking up a set while the chef was cooking your meal😭
Never stop cooking!
Guys, can mixstream pro Go be connected via Bluetooth to an external speaker? Thank you
From what I recall, no. The Mixstream Pro Go needs to be connected via XLR cables
can you use a usb stick and serato at the same time?
Hmmm, I don't think so. You can have them attached at the same time, but you can only use one input source at a time I think
Could you do Bluetooth on this ?!
I'm not too sure. I don't think so, and I don't think there's a reason to use Bluetooth with this one
I mean it would be ideal it’s a wireless set up those built in speakers could only do so much having connectivity to a Bluetooth speaker would only make it better especially if you wanted to be mobile with out having wires hooked up hence the Bluetooth speaker
Hi i wanted to ask this question
For DJ-ing is the Macbook better than Windows
Because i started to dj for a year now and many people told me that i have to buy a macbook?
Whats your opinion?
You don't have to, but I prefer Macs for DJing. They're more stable
@@djcarlo Thank you really!
Can you connect this to a bluetooth speaker?
It has built in speakers, so there's no need
No usb c charging 😢
Yeah. They stuck to type A USB ports for this one.
Can you plug in an external hard drive?
I'm not 100% sure, but I think it should work, as long as it's not a giant hard drive
Is it a rechargeable battery?
Of course! Doesn't take too long to hit a full charge, and playing with it can last beyond 4 hours in some cases!
They should have had the 8 pads, a full tempo slide and detachable speakers
Hmmm, detachable speakers is definitely an idea!
