      Steve Langlais we live in such a superficial society. i started loseing the enamel off my teeth from medications i was on. last Summer i had to go thru major extractions because the pain was so bad. i hav no bottom teeth and only 5top left and now they hav got to b removed. too. i cant afford dentures and i always had beautiful teeth. people can be so cruel ,mean, and judgemental about outside appearances. i very seldom go out anymore unless its for dr appts or grocery shopping because im so embarrassed about my teeth. i hav no company at my house anymore and stopped dating. became a recluse and severely depressed. people say its whats on the inside that matters,but in reality most are still judgemental and critical. society stinks 99%of the time. mayb one day before i die ,im 58now, i will hav a decent smile again and b able to eat a salad or somethin besides soft foods.

      People who bully others are sometimes just sociopathic little pieces of shit. Not everyone is a good person. Some people are born assholes. To think that everyone in this world is good deep down is just being ignorant. There's no excuse for bullying.

I'm not sure what triggers mine. It just comes and goes. I see slight improvement when I try to cut out carbs, it mostly it just comes and goes. But for as long as I lived with her I didn't get an abscess. I attributed it to the dove soap.

So I can be a mom again to my little girl bc the worst part of all this Is not the excruciating pain its knowing my daughter is missing out on a mom that can go biking with her or swimming or that I miss out on special moments bc its just to much pain. God knows I love her to the moon and back a 100 times over. It also has come between my husband and I. Our lives are falling apart but Im not lucking enough to get a team of doctors to treat me. This place makes me sick. People have to go on a tv show to get help with their health because it's so damn expensive. I know the feeling. I have health insurance but I can't afford to use it. These insurance companies are thieves. Nothing not than a bait and switch. They tell you the copay to go to this Dr or that Dr is $$. When you get the bill it's $$$. I can't stand them. Cut the military budget and use that for healthcare. I mean come on who/what are we fighting for. Welcome to America.

      i can guarantee they need to surgically remove the cysts from her ovaries, its clear her bloodstream is jacked from all the hormones being pumped into her from that. aswell as the the doctors should of told her to cut sugar from her diet completely... and possibly take estrogen, or metformin for insulin regulation, that would help so much with the super acne. but no, what do they do? chop off her armpit glands to make a pretty penny from the insurance company. I hate the medical profession. they will milk every penny out of you while you suffer.

      Michael Wilson true that. I broke out near my groin nothing compared to this girl, but it was painful bump or two and my endocrinologist; sweet woman told me to cut out sugars because that could be causing me that along with dairy in take. Now I'm on my route of becoming completely plant based with maybe chicken the most I'll eat. I truly believe a lot things have to do with diets and some people's sensitivity to certain things like sugar and diary.

    I cry whenever I see someone else dealing with this. I have stage 2 HS (stage 3 under my arms), breasts, groin, and recently butt. I’ve been dealing with this since the age of 15 (6 years) and I haven’t worn a sleeveless shirt since due to embarrassment. It really took a toll on my teen years because I was worried about what sort of bathing suits to wear and being questioned on why I walk or hold my arms a certain way. I also get holes like she does. And the pain is just so excruciating. Imagine laying in bed for hours trying not to move cause the slightest movement causes extreme pain. Then finally dozing off into a stiff sleep only to wake up in shock because you accidentally moved in your sleep. I’ve had to cry myself to sleep many times and felt so hopeless because it’s something I’ll be dealing with for the rest of my life. When not even doctors know much about it it’s frustrating.
    I feel so much for this young girl it aches and I’m only going through half of what she’s experiencing. Anyone else dealing with it just keep moving forward. And I know it hard, SO HARD, but we’ll find our ways through it. If anyone has any tips that could help me or others out please respond.
    Sending love and support.

    It takes getting this severe for a doctor to actually take this seriously. So sad. If she would have tried this in the beginning I'm sure they will just be like, "it's an infection you need to have better hygiene and this will go away. Here are some antibiotics." That's what always happen to me. Terrible.

    • @meika_goes_meow5118
      @meika_goes_meow5118 6 лет назад +2

      It's not that it's that bad, it's the fact HS isn't a common study for dermatologist. They are still researching what causes HS, and how to stop it.

    • @meika_goes_meow5118
      @meika_goes_meow5118 6 лет назад +5

      And Mary, technically it would get worse. Because there is no cure for HS. It's an Autoimmune disease, people like me will have HS for the rest of our lives until a actual cure is found. There are ongoing treatments available for HS suffers. But it doesn't make them go away permanently, it just helps a little bit.

    • @damdamfino
      @damdamfino 4 года назад +2

      Same. It got to the point where I asked my doctors to stop prescribing antibiotics because they didn’t help the HS at all but gave me constant yeast infections and intensional issues. My HS is absolutely connected to my hormones, flaring up right before I get my period, and the only medication that might’ve helped a little was spironolactone - which took over 10 years to be suggested/prescribed to me.
      Other than that, best treatments I have tried so far are steroid injections (gets rid of it 99% permanently immediately) which all my doctors are reluctant to do, and then I also had major surgery to remove all my lesions, which eliminated my flare ups for 3 years before some came back slowly. Surgery and injections are so effective, I just wish that doctors were more willing to prescribe those instead of shrugging and prescribing more and more antibiotics.

    when I see people on this show in makes me so grateful for what I have not for what I don't have......
    things that we take for granted everyday or hands are arms are eyes are skin could make such a difference in our lives if something like that would missing.... instead we sit here and we bitch about money we bitch about how we're not happy we bitch about how we can't better ourselves.... just be thankful you have family be thankful you are healthy be thankful for the life you live

    • @RascalHooligan
      @RascalHooligan 7 лет назад +6

      I agree that its important to remind yourself to be thankful. I started actively reminding myself to do so every so often, and it makes a difference. However, its just natural to have your own set of issues as an individual. Financial issues, body image issues, health issues, school issues, etc....they're all still issues that are very real and evoke emotional response. It's important to acknowledge our own issues and to not overlook what bothers us just because we are aware of other people with more serious issues around us.

    • @RascalHooligan
      @RascalHooligan 7 лет назад +3

      I also feel like if you start to see people who have "more serious" issues as a comparative case for your own life, it creates a natural response where instead of empathizing with the individual, which requires the attempt to put yourself in their shoes, you're more aware of not being in their shoes and thankful for it. Not at all saying you're a bad person, just my thoughts.

    I suffer with HS and stumbled across something that might help.
    I purchased some lovely Pineapples a week back and ate a good few slices .
    I noticed that it gave me relief from my recent flare up.
    After that i checked up on the benefits of pineapples and i see that it is a very good anti inflammatory. It contains a substance called Bromelain which is very good in breaking down proteins and serves as a good anti inflammatory.
    Try it if it helped me it might be beneficial for others also.

    I have this in my armpits and sometimes groin but its extremely mild - just looks like some ingrown hairs or acne at its early stage. The sign that its more is when its very difficult for them to go away fully or cysts develop. Once it gets to the stage where the tracts form (what she has) it's nearly impossible to treat on your own. I honestly did not know it could form on the face until this, poor girl. I hope she's better now.

    The problem that I have with this is the doctor saying she has to smile. She does not have to smile unless and until all of the therapies work AND the scars are treated so they are not so obvious, which is difficult. I have HS and so far while on Humira it has gotten exponentially worse, not better. I'm also on a combination of topical and oral medications. However, I'm allergic to a broad spectrum of antibiotics and some fillers, so I have to be very careful. Just because I am on these medications doesn't mean I'm fixed - because I'm not. Just because this young woman is going to be placed on a regimen doesn't mean she is going to be fixed. HS (and related diseases) are the least researched because they occur in three times as many women as they do in men.

    • @skybluelvr7437
      @skybluelvr7437 7 лет назад +13

      Hi. I woke up during surgery and I tried to get off the table. I woke up, tried to run but my arms were out to the sides tied on those (I don't know what the heck they are called) things, my foot was in a vice like thing, my doctor was seated working on my foot, I was so frightened and what made it worse was I couldn't get off the table. I started screaming and my doctor is telling me to stop moving my foot so I was cursing him out because I was in pain! (I never curse at doctors so this was a first😳). The anesthesiologist wasn't at my side, he was too busy talking to a nurse. Since then I have had more surgery and I make sure my anesthesiologist knows exactly what happened. Fortunately it has not happened since then. Honestly I am always a bit nervous before surgery. So, I totally understand what you went through.❤️

It was a foot surgery I was supposed to be out and I came to fortunately I didn’t feel anything but I looked up at the anesthesiologist and said am I supposed to be awake and within three seconds I was put back out but it is a terrifying feeling that you could just wake up in the middle of something like that it’s pretty scary

Every now and then I could use an additional pill but I've seen how easily people get addicted, so I just stick with my one dose a day. I just wish they would cover more biologic meds. There's only one fda approved medication for this disease and it's only helping around 30% of the people of the people I know who have tried it. I tried it for over a year with no positive response.

I've got a pilonidal sinus track and I get the boils and cysts under both arms and in the bikini areas. It's embarrassing and I feel awful most of the time because they become so painful and inflamed. I'm going to talk with my doctor about this and see what we can do for treatment as getting an incision and drainage each time is exhausting. I really feel for her as she's so young and kids can be so mean.

These left So many scars, but thankfully never hit my face that hard. But finally found a grest doctor, PCOS was the main culprit. With an antihistamine, spironolactone 800mg a day, metformin 1000 mg a day. And some other meds for years.. now If I make it thru menopause lol... I have been dealing with HS for 11 years since I was 18. I was at stage 3 when I got my surgeries. I was so scared when I developed symptoms but I didn’t tell anybody. It had gotten so severe that there were open sores on my stomach, the pain was immense, and the sores were so severely infected, my PCP said if I had waited longer it could have gotten a blood infection. In total I had 6 surgeries done and I still have to get my groin surgically repaired and have fatty tissue from my left inner thigh removed. I wouldn’t this disease on anyone.

    Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome? Her pituitary gland should’ve been checked. That’s the gland that distributes hormones. If there’s a spot or growth on it hormone distribution is effected resulting in conditions such as polycystic ovaries & abnormal menstrual cycle. I had mine treated by my naturopath (melbourne Australia) 20 yrs ago and couldn’t be happier.

    I truly hope she gets this healed and finds out why her body is causing this. When I was struggling with acne no dermatologist ever truly found the cause and will only mask the problem and the treatment's would not even clear my skin by much. once I found a functional doctor/holistic doctor that healed my candida and got my gut in balance including my lymphatic system detoxing is when I found true clean skin. This poor girl should continue to see a dermatologist and any doctor that can help her find out why the her body is causing this but she should also go the extra mile and see a holistic one . Dr.morsen is a miracle worker and truly knows how to heal the body, she should get in contact with him but
    still continue to visit her dermatologist . Her body can be healed

    I suffer from this. I get boils in between my thighs. I use EMUAID MAX and stopped eating dairy and reduced sugar. I take iron and Ecenechia. It helps.

    I enjoy learning from these videos, never had I ever felt so lucky to have been blessed. My problems seem so tiny to the real world. Hopefully the treatment works well for her. Anyone with this disease is not ugly. There incredibly strong for going through something like this.

    Thank god I live in Denmark, where treating things like this (or any other ailment) is free...
