      The acne on you does not identify you nor does it dictate who you are or how much you are worth. Don’t let a temporary situation like a season of acne determine your whole future by saying you want to k yourself. Trust me…it’s not the solution. That your siblings and twin don’t have acne doesn’t necessarily mean they’re in a better state than you are. You can’t see what’s going on inside of them or what trials they are facing so the best thing you can do is, do not compare yourself to them, treat your acne, one day at a time, and hang in there. It’ll pass. Trust me it’ll pass. Oh and God loves you ❤ a lot….

    I stared getting acne once we entered the whole quarantine mode. I though it would go always cause in all my 15 years of me being in this world I had never dealt with acne. Once it got worse I could handle the fact that I had those bumps and pimples on my skin. The funny thing is that all of these bumps were on my forehead. No where else just there, and it was the most visible. I stared using the Cerave Foaming Cleanser since that one is for oily skin and I have really bad oily skin. It worked to control it build but it didn’t go away. Then motee acne came in and I got frustrated and stared picking on them. Well yeah that was not a great idea because now 6 months later and I have acne marks and hyperpigmentations. Now I see pimples once and a while but now I am just trying to get rid of bumps that are on my forehead and the acne marks/hyperpigmentation that is there. Right now my skin care consists of the: Cerave Foaming cleanser, the Cerave moisten with sunscreen. Serums that I use are : the Inkey list retinol and the ordinate 10% niacinamide w/ 1%zinc

      A big part of teenage acne is puberty and hormones. Generally the most frustrating acne is cystic (puberty acne) and can really only be “cured” through medical help or with a derm. OTC simply isn’t strong enough to combat it completely, however a regular skin care routine will 100% make your skin much better than it would be without it.
      Just keep pushing and don’t let your acne define you!

    I wish I knew this when I was a teen. I had horrible hormonal looking pimples (no hormonal issue ever found with my tests - good diet) new one every morning. Only now at the age of 30,I've sorted my skin out, thanks to you and all dermatologists who share such amazing knowledge on RUclips and basically thanks to Differin. I saw few derms when young, they just gave me a bpo/antibiotic cream, no retinoids, with no in depht explanation on how to use/how long for. Just tons of irritation, switching products fast, using useless/irritating things, no idea how to perform a proper skincare.

    I am 13 years old and i got acne because i used Homemade skin care like Sugar,Lemon,Aloe vera,Honey,Turmeric, milk but turmeric,Suger,Lemon is not good for skin especially like my age and i used foundation usually but not everday!Actually i like to do makeup!So my parents,My neighbourhoods,my realtives is Rebuke me and tell me that You usually use makeup and you used That remedies which is not good for your skin and your age now just 13 so you shoud not do makeup usually!And so now i slowly avoid to do makeup! Now i do not follow any skin care routines!Now my Skin care product is Moisturizer, Toner,And sunscreen!And i do not use syrum because my few realtives told me that When your age will 15/16 then you will can use serum!Now you should not use many type of skin care products! (Edieted:And My skin is sensitive)

      Clindamycin and Benzoyl Peroxide is the best combo in my view.

    Dr Sam, I get so excited whenever you post a new video! I'm definitely no longer in my teens haha but I like watching your videos!
    I hv a qn for the skincare community, is it normal to have small little bumps/ texture on your forehead about 2 months after stopping low dose accutane? I'm not sure if anyone has encountered the same thing before. I tried incorporating BHA into my routine and they got better, but then kept coming back after a few days, and I'm frustrated.

      After isotretinoin, we tend to keep patients on a topical retinoid to reduce risk of relapse. Perhaps something you can discuss with your provider.

    This is all talk and virtually no information 75% through the video all she has mentioned is retinoids and zero on the “tool box” she recommends. She must love the sound of her own voice

    Please seek for info of other ways of treating acne.. this vide is false... it's about how to treat effects not the couse. You will get no were with these advices. She sugests that one day you will get particular bacteria and for other 4-8 years it wont go away. How come it wasn't present before and how come it goes away? Diet is the key. Again, please seek for other info or you will spend time and money and get no results or make it even worst.

    How can we tell when teen acne has transitioned into adult acne?

    • @DrSamBunting
      @DrSamBunting  3 года назад

      Usually the distribution shifts - but its not an absolute thing, plenty of adults continue with t-zone disease.
