Bro pls reply to my query. I made an AWP skin in blender but when I import the vtf file in workbench due to some reason the the barrel, ammo box and the scope doesn't match with the skin I designed. Rest all the body is similar. What do I do?

It's a super nice tutorial, i do however hope you'll consider adding your shortkeys either by word or with some sort of description.
For those who's unfamiliar with blender, it can be very difficult to figure out, and it's such a small thing to add.
And for those wondering, the search function works by pressing the [[ F3 ]] button.

When you switch to "Texture Mode" @1:27 you get the textures to pop up automatically on the left. When I click texture mode, it keeps the black box on the left. What am I missing?

When going into the texture mode there isnt the white outline showing up over the black canvas on the right. Does anyone know how to get the white outline to show up?

TIP: Select an object that you want to separate. Go to edit mode (press TAB), press number 3 above the letters, not in the numpad section of a keyboard. Then press A to select all faces, then P and chose - separate by loos parts. I just moved all the loos parts to a new collection.

Basically what you want to create is a texture, not a project. So just in the drop down of the image editor ‘save as’ or alt S I think.

This video is about how to publish and make skins in general and not how to create game asset textures. It’s not a thing you learn in 5mins haha.
If you want to learn more about the painting part, search up some blender or substance painter tutorials. Also maybe a blender beginner tutorial as well could help.

Hey man, your video is super helpful I just have a small problem in blender, when I add the black texture and go to Tex paint mode it doesnt show my UV pattern on the left side where the black square is, any idea as to why that's happening? cheers

Instead of clicking the link, right click and 'Copy link address', then paste in new tab. This worked for me

F3 opens the search box to import the OBJ. Also accessible through File > Import > obj ...Would have been very helpful to mention this. Thanks still for the informative video.

Awesome video, but i have a probably very silly question : how do you make the grid of the weapon parts show up ? I'm searching for it now for an hour and im just too stupid to find the setting in blender...
I'm a beginner and it's a bit awkward but I just marked everything with "A" in the edit mode in the right window. Not sure if that helps.
I feel like it would be a lot better if instead of trying to go quick if you went through it a bit slower, as blenders ui changes and I feel its not very newbie friendly for a tutorial, I still appreciate it and its helpful but I also find myself going back and pausing, slowing the video down which i feel it would have been easier for me to just read an article or a better paced video

Yo guys, instead of painting I have just separated my model into sections and assigned each section new material. Later I edited those materials in nodes, got some really nice camo pattern using Chebychev polynomials and brushed metal textures, but now I'm not sure how to proceed. Is there a way to unwrap all of those materials on a single image, or something else. Any help is appreciated

Sadly no. Because each weapon has a different UV layout. You can kind of reposition stuff, but there is no one click solution
is it just me who cant download the csgo weapons? because im pressing download and nothing happens. I even tried different browsers
I think they maybe changed the location, actually not sure myself.

I had to google how to get texture mode, and also how to get two uv as you got. It would be nice if you slow things down and try to be more informative
How do I mirror a design on the other side of a weapon in blender?
on top right is a option u see a butterfly and X/Y/Z. press the X then it mirrors the X line

Guys, is it not obvious that you cannot learn game asset creation in 4min? Like where should I start explaining, how to turn on a PC?
Being a good artist can take years of practice. This video shows how to bring your skin to CSGO and not how to use blender. People ask how to save out the texture, like what kind of question is that xD
It’s an insult to all game artists, as well as the ones working on CSGO, that you think you can just do their job in 4min. Blender knowledge is the absolute minimum so I highly recommend learning blender before watching this video. And NO you cannot learn blender in 5min xD
The benefit of this video is, that I’m showing you something that’s hard and annoying to research and not well explained anywhere. ‘How to use blender’ there’s more than enough videos.
@@DamianMathew Yes, I obviously understand that I'm not going to bed as good as any CSGO artist at the current moment, that'll take years of practice, but it's the fact that you are cutting out the simplest bits, if you know you aren't going to be able to show it all in 4 minutes, why make it 4 minutes? Don't cut out all of the parts where you aren't speaking, it helps us understand a more basic knowledge of Blenders UI.
