    You re a legend! I have been wading through rubbish, and with you finally found clear, concise, and at points hilarious (in a good way) comments. I thought I was pretty good with Gimp, you have shown shortcuts, and better explanations of layers it took me hours to not quite understand until now. I didn't know blender in the slightest other than some specifics for Minecraft, and learned more in a few hours than I have in 10 times that amount. It took me a long time to understand normal maps and PBR for Minecraft, you explained it in minutes way better - and this isn't even for Minecraft. I love your work...and hoping if you don't already (and if not I don't know why) you have CS2 access, and can help me with a few other issue I'm having related to that...few things not quite the same. Legend! Thankyou....

    It’s strange that knowing all this and having many skins in the workshop, Viper has not yet achieved at least one accepted skin. Now, my approach is to plan, execute, put it in storage, review it, and redo if necessary. Oh, and about CS2, thank you, Valve! For me every time i publish a skin i have high hopes for it and feel very good about it, but many times (Even for some of my recent skins) I get horrible ratings. In the past that used to annoy me so much but now when i get a bad rating i try to assess what might be the reasons for the downvotes. hi bro! can you make a video about thumbnails? sizes, tips and tricks. Mine get ugly black bars

      @viperskins  8 месяцев назад +1

      I'm creating a new tutorial for CS2 right now, hopefully I'll start releasing new videos very soon. I'm planning to talk about skin submission tips, which will include thumbnail creation.
      But for now regarding the black bars, are you talking about the horizontal bars that you get above and below your image? If so then just make sure that your thumbnail has a 16:9 ratio, which means that you should use resolution 1920x1080. You can use larger images (Such as 3840x2160) but you don't need to since thumbnails are displayed in small sizes.

    Siema szefie! Na filmie sprzed roku o naklejce kurczaka widziałem w komentarzach jak ktoś pytał o efekt holo na broniach, wspominałeś, że coś takiego da się osiągnąć przez pearlescent czy cos w tym rodzaju. Masz w planach film na ten temat? Może film w nowym stylu, cos w rodzaju omówienia jak dany skin powstał, na przykład printstream albo nowy AK HeadShot z dość wyraźnym efektem holo. Dodatkowo w tym filmie o naklejce kurczaka korzystałeś ze swego rodzaju poradnika na przykładzie naklejki ‚Bish’. Gdzie można znaleźć materiały do poznania ‚tajników tworzenia skinów’? 😅
    Sorki za przydługi komentarz i tak wiele pytań, ale chętnie oglądam Twoje filmy i bardzo interesowałby mnie jakiś w tym rodzaju, a sądząc po komentarzach pod filmami to również wiele innych osób.

    • @viperskins
      @viperskins  7 месяцев назад

      I suggest watching youtube videos about the topic because I don't think i'm the best to talk about it. But a few tips that might help:
      1. In the Render Properties set the Device to GPU Compute instead of CPU (You need to set your GPU in the settings (Preferences -> System)
      2. Also in the Render Properties, under Sampling -> Render, you can lower the Max Samples value (But if you lower it too much that can lead to results with lower quality)
      3. Close any software that you don't need during the bake process.
      Not sure what Tiling (2048) is, but for CS2 UV maps the resolution needs to be 4096x4096, which unfortunately will lead to longer bake time

      ok then thx but heres the problem. when it starts bakeing it remains on 1% and no textures are on the bakeing map+ it cancels after 2min@@viperskins

      @@YourFriendlyNeighborhoodBalkan In CS2 you need to set your baking type to Diffuse and not Combined (That might help with the processing power needed), but make sure that the Metallic value of the material is set to 0.
      Also under the Render section (Under Sampling) try and lower the Max Samples a little bit.
      Let me know if these help

    How to make tga file for cs 2 skin

    • @viperskins
      @viperskins  8 месяцев назад

      You create the TGA file the same way we used to do it in CSGO. I'm creating a new tutorial these days, but until then you can check out my old tutorial about it: ruclips.net/video/XToXEa3oSts/видео.html
      However in the video i also talk about creating a "VTF" file. You can discard that part because it's no longer necessary

      My pleasure! I'm glad you were able to create your 1st skin :)
      I tried opening the link but it seems that your skin still hasn't been approved for public release. It might take up to a few hours until it becomes public, and only then others will be able to see it.
      I will check it again later, but in any case congratulations on your 1st skin :)
