"Sometimes a Prince will find someone to marry who amplifies their ability to play the victim." Well done, sir!
Had to scroll for a while!
Very subtle 😎
Hahaha!! Nice one Doc!!
I had to listen to it twice to catch it. I love how subtle he is with these remarks
They hunt for a codependent partner like the Hope Diamond.
This guy is a classic case of "if everyone you meet in the day is an ass hole, it's you"
Hi Dr. Grande. He sounds like many people in todays modern life, selfish psychotic, egotistical, = psychonarcs/dark triad/control freak, just saying. May the victim of this senseless crime RIP. Love & spectacular times hopefully await you, peace, Janine Smiley😏🙂😀😎😍☕🍪☕🍩🆒️💯❕❗❇🌌🌄🌅🌝🌞🌜🌛🌚🌠✌👍❤💗❣👞👠👟👡👑👒💎💍📿💄🙏
Or you're just in Los Angeles.
@@jasper_of_puppets lol. I am from LA and lived 40 years in LA and the OC and I thought the same. ....I wanted to like the comment but I figure whomever wrote that one doesn't live in a massive concrete jungle. Also doesn't live in Portland. ..can't spit and not hit an asshole in portland....
@@JustOneOpinion Hahaha. Indeed, life is somethin' else when you have to cross the urban wasteland every day.
True words. I find myself, reminding myself of this, far too often. It's hard to be honest with one's self, sometimes.
It's so sad that Allison had to pay the ultimate price over a delusional narcissist.
Staged Event for the sheeple like you
Well said.
Same with Adam 💔
Flanagan was evil, I'll give you that. But why would a narcissist die by suicide?
In my opinion, the death of the man also matters. But that's just me.
Nice nod to Prince Harry and Megan Markle at 11:19. Vido title could have mentioned that the cameraman was murdered too. His life mattered as much as the reporter's.
I think about these people often. How vulnerable we are, no one ever did anything out of line to this maniac to deserve any of this.
aside from raising a whole generation to think they are victims.
seriously, harassing over his sexuality did not have anything to do with it? I'm not saying he was correct but if people are harassed, it could be provocative
@@user-xg3uy6hq9g of course being harassed is provocative. But who doesn't at some point in their life get harassed for something? And like Beauty, harassment is in the eye of the beholder.
The difference between most people and guys like this murderer is the victim mentality. He was young enough to have lived through a time where members of society recognized the currency of victimhood. Critical thinkers can see victimhood as a trap. This murderer evidently could not and became ensnared by it.
Most everybody is harassed or ridiculed for something in their lifetime. Most kids can't escape it. But we learn to deal with it with the help of sensible parents and good friends.
Some of us are not victims. Don't ever open that fealthy mouth when you're around a non victim. Keep that crap online, do not think you're safe
@@curtiscriscoe367 What are you talking about?
I worked with a guy who could be this guy's emotional twin. In fact, he's the reason I started watching Dr. Grande's videos. I never really knew what a narcissist was before, but the personality and behaviors are shockingly similar. This guy never killed anybody - that I know of - but his stunts are extravagant and strange, and he completely destroys every office he works in. He is regularly transferred every two years or so. People need to know about narcissism.
Many of them kill other people's jobs and careers. That's as close as they dare to murder. Some take friends and other associates away from people. But they want to destroy, all right.
Left my last job due to narcs, can’t believe how totally they fool those around them so often. And there must be something to the idea of a soul making our personality since narcs don’t have theirs and they only have the one personality
And why is someone like this not fired? Because someone else, another narcissist, would have to take responsibility for hiring him.
@@cejannuzi In this case, the principal (who was narcissistic but less so) vouched for the narcissist in our office.
And unfortunately a lot of them reside in the LGBT community, even more so today. Why I'm not super active these days myself as someone who is a bit bisexual.
What I find alarming is that we're going through a societal phase where one is encouraged to see oneself as a victim and to interpret even the most innocuous actions and statements as attacks on one's being. We're going to see more and more incidents like this.
@@NikkiDocherty74 I'm SEEING premeditation. I think that there is a segment of society that is deliberately creating a population of people whose entire identity is that they're Victims who need to lash out. It's as if the Woke are possessed by Eric Harris and they're deliberately creating a culture of Dylan Klebolds to unleash.
I fear you may be right. I'v sensed this for sometime and just by watching others reactions there appears to be a build-up coming.
Unfortunately, I think you are spot on. When narcissistic traits are kindled, they can easily become an uncontrollable fire.
@@NikkiDocherty74 That is horrible. I am very grieved you are enduring that.
The Sisphean Journal: Yes.A lot of people these days (the 'woke ones) are just sitting there waiting to be offended by something someone says or does. What a waste of time!
'High School Prince" was created by the school that year because they didn't want to deal with a narcissist.
😂😂😂😂
Vester was the type of jerk that absolutely nobody wants to know. There aren't enough adjectives.
I just hate how it’s literally on camera and people still have the audacity to say it’s a hoax
Alex jones knows all about that
Denial is the first stage of grief. Most observers don’t care enough about the situation to ever go through any other stages.
11:22 "Sometimes a prince will find someone to marry who amplifies their ability to play the victim."
Oh, **DAMN** that was savage -- and particularly well done, Dr. Grande!
well said and spot on
Loved the delivery and very true!
Good luck with your move Dr Grande, hope it all goes smoothly. Thank you for releasing videos even when you're busy.
I remember unintentionally seeing this video back in the days of Liveleak and being shocked by it, then reading the details later and being genuinely scared that people like Vester Flanagan actually exist. On a side note I'll miss the brick wall, but then I thought I'd miss your old studio until I saw the brick wall. Good luck.
Our society caters to those who refuse to take responsibility.
RIP Liveleak
It is scary. They did nothing but have the misfortune of working with this guy. How many of these guys are bubbling under the surface waiting to strike?
@@DottieMinerva the more society tolerates the victim mentality the more it will happen. Look at the WashPoop apologia for the UVA shooter.
Allison was a bright light around here! Its so sad that her light was distinguished so soon. Vester was a perpetual victim and makes me sick!
Allison played stupid racist games and paid dearly for it.
@@34660 There's no evidence any of what Vester said was true, but go off. It's not like a narcissist would lie, right?
It appears Vester could not handle criticism or failure. He felt justified in blaming his problems on everyone and everything else. His indignation grew with each road block or rejection and when his last discrimination lawsuit failed, he went off the deep end and turned to homicide. And I’m quite sure he felt he was justified in doing it.
Congratulations on moving to a new house. I’m sure your cacti will learn to love your new studio.❤️
This is just a more extreme example of what we all deal with everyday with them
Dr. Grande! You’re so shady and I’m living for it! Thank you for all you do!😊
The cat litter and homecoming prince lines caught me off guard. Dry humor at it’s finest.
Dang it, I've been emptying the cats' litterbox wrong all these years. Anything I can do with the dogs' feces? 😂
I briefly worked at a new station. A former employee started to harass us and stated he would come “shoot the building”. When police contacted him regarding his threat… he told them he meant he would “shoot” us as in *film* us.
The newsroom is a high-stress place full of ego. It’s too bad he never sought out mental health care.
I would have never guessed he was once an escort. That face says, "Where's my hug?".
I would love to hear your views on the crazies in sister wives. How can TLC continue to give Kody Brown a platform while he clearly is abusive to his wives and children
It probably has to do with that proud American tradition of valuing the profits shareholders over all else.
If people don’t watch, he won’t have a show.
@@infinitejest441 I was referring to your TLC show, although I have no idea what that is. Take care.

It's haunting that the victims were so focussed on the interview that they didn't notice their former co-worker standing with a gun rigth next to them.
Whats even more haunting was the freeze frame image at 7:32
The co-workers also have their own short comings. Too full of themselves to ignore and disrespect danger.

you don't even know what you are looking at ....
@@uzueable what does this even mean????
Well, here's to the next studio ! I'm remembering another era when the comforting sound of books stacking would open each episode 😄
Dr. Grande. I have to admit, from a personal experience, that I noticed that certain gay men tend to have that a specific personality. Individuals who cannot by any circumstances accept an error or mistake or being second in competition. They quickly take the discrimination card as excuse. I have seen this in college and during work as well as in personal circles. Would you perhaps find the possibility of a correlation of certain homosexual demeanor to narcissism?
I agree but many would dismiss such valid observations as "homophobic" and "hateful". Its not popular to be critical of a sacred cow that many worship.
@@socialdistancejusticewarri8533 yes, I agree. Some conversation even with the most objective effort will be labeled as “homophobic”. Thank you Dr.
In my opinion, this kind of behavior is not exclusive to the lgbtq+ community. Kind of like a “all squares are rectangles but not all rectangles are squares” mentality. Pulling the discrimination card, so to speak, is not mutually exclusive to lgbtq+ people. I guess a rewording of it would be “all these people are self-victimizing but not all of them are lgbtq+”
It’s definitely an issue, just not exclusive to that community. I honestly wonder what the best response to that kind of behavior is. It seems like no matter how you react to it, they’ll take it poorly.
Sexual orientation has nothing to do with personality disorder because gay, straight, bi people can all exhibit them. It's a heterosexist statement to attribute personality disorders to queer people.
Model? Male escort? 😂 stop it.
Broh you’re talking about the homecoming PRINCE here
Literally looks like a Mr. Potato Head doll. Who is picking these "models" with massive air quotes
Uncle Fester.
You made me laugh out loud. 😊
He's just average looking at best, and im being excessively generous in this regard.
I don't understand all the accolades he received for his physical appearance, nor why he would be so desired as an escort.
Mystifies me.
This shows one of the many pitfalls of victimhood mentality.
Maybe it shows the pitfalls of racism
@@bonniejohnson1236 or perceived racism... but I'll play along, let's say all of his suspicions were correct and those people were being racist to him, you think he is justified in murdering them because they said mean things to him?
Mental illness added to the possible stressors of race and sexual orientation make for a very volatile personality profile but, of course, murder is NEVER ok!
@@bonniejohnson1236 There was no evidence of racism. I call it reverse racism...a certain group feels they are entitled to behave any way they want just to be able to pull the victim/racism card when handy to escape consequences. This plays out over and over.
@@zenawarrior7442 and where is your evidence that it plays out over and over? You have no idea what you are talking about.
August 26 2015 also marked the 21st anniversary of the release of the 1994 movie Natural Born Killers which featured the killing of a journalist live on TV and as a movie fan at the time I recall giving much thought to these two events.
Vester has the perfect face for radio.
Definitely a closed casket face!
Thanks for scaring the sh*t out of me, Doc Grande!
Yet another example of how self esteem is not always a good thing.
Yes it is a good thing. But narcissism can be damaging
I remember this when it happened. I have to say, the scariest prospect that came from that incident was the notion that live streaming homicides would simply become the new trend. I'm glad it didn't catch on.
Yet
It absolutely has, but it's live streaming on social media
I had just moved to VA when this happened. I was working in Harrisonburg, VA schools and we had to go on lockdown. This was the first day with the kids. Pretty scary because we had no idea what was going on at first.
What a horrible case. In addition to this heinous crime, he turns the firearm on himself.😣 I wish he could have gotten life in prison for his actions.
Thank you, Dr. Grande!❤
He couldn't bear the shame...he is a coward who will never accept being held accountable!
A coward, indeed. At least our tax dollars will NOT be paying for his room & board.
The way they're just letting criminals out early these days I think we're better off.
Nope. Good riddance.
Goodbye Studio 3. You served us well. Looking forward to Studio 4. Life is all about change, which can be scary, but less scary than regret. Onward and upward!
The idea of senseless violence is disturbing. Why this crime even happened is mind boggling. The respect for human life is what drives this process. If we value life, we don’t commit crimes taking life. It all boils down to respecting each other and the gift of life itself. It can stop a lot of problems and create a lot of harmony.
Congratulations on your move! I look forward to seeing studio 4.
I remember this case. I couldn't believe it actually happened. Such a tragedy!
I was recently involved in a self defense shooting against armed, masked attackers and an innocent person was also struck. It’s heavy. Do you have any videos where you address the aftermath of such events? Thanks
Hi, Dr. Grande. Big fan. Can you please cover the case of director Roman Polanski?
Oh that's a great suggestion!
Dr. Grande my cat was wondering where you were at? Today's video seemed to take forever before posting and He looked at me and said Meow. I said EXACTLY. WHERE is DR. Grande???!!! Ha ha ha ha
Dr. Grande, thank you for covering in remarkable detail, and analyzing, this tragedy. Also, I wish you a happy and smooth transition to your new studio! Hugs 👍💜🌵
I feel like this is one of the main issues with victimhood being turned into currency. If you convince yourself that you're a victim then it's easy to be a monster because you feel validated in doing everything. Have any of us ever even met a person who talked about how they were a victim all of the time and was also a good person? ever?
For me someone going on and on about their victimhood is always a red flag for me to GTFO
Never mind that it is boring!
In 1970 my professor mentor and I were right in the middle of a campus protest. Photos were being taken of me by one of the local "clubs" where, unknown to them, I was actually funneling funds to them behind the scenes, as Chair of the Student Finance. What he said was: "Society has to be careful not to RAISE THE EXPECTATIONS of groups without ALSO telling them of the hard competitive education journey needed to GET UP THERE. He was right. This is the result, over half a century later: entitlement without responsibility.
That’s because people who are TRULY suffering are normally too embarrassed to cry for help since they’d rather help themselves. People who constantly whine want a problem for the sake of validation and attention. True victims don’t want to be victims.
Amen.
I see that everyday during a BLM protest
Congrats on your new studio! I look forward to seeing it. Thanks for all you do. You educate and entertain me at the same time :-)

Thanks for doing this case, I remember this case all to well, may Adam and Allison Rest In Peace. 💔
Dr G… Harry felt that one.
This is one of my local news stations. This was a crazy day in our area. All too often that young camera man is overlooked.
Congratulations on your new home/studio!! I don't live too far from Roanoke, and I remember when this happened. Don't know much about what led up to that terrible crime, so it was great to hear your analysis!! A few years before that, a couple of popular meteorologists lost their jobs because of heroin addiction and sex picture scandal --- perhaps the same news station. Thanks again for another informative analysis 👍
I wonder what his parents were like. I've seen some lower class black parents constantly flatter their children and refuse to confront their shortcomings. They encourage their children to have unrealistic expectations about life and blame others for problems.
Wdbj is my local news station and when this happened it was a huge shock to the community
Sad to see the decor gone. It had such a 'homy' vibe to it. Looking forward to your new background and videos!
Wow 1.22 million subscribers. You deserve it. Love your show.
Dear Dr. Grande
As we are really learning from your valuable videos can you pls always mention some of the psychological analysis of the parents of the criminals especially the narcissists.. I'm always keen to know about my house mates parents and then I realise that 90% of their issues are because of their parents (I feel I live in an asylum 🙈😄)
1000 thanks all the way from Dahab - Egypt for your effort and energy 🙂💚✨
I actually seen this live and it was hard to understand what was happening during and right after the shots stopped, then it cut back to news achor at the station which she had a look of absolute confusion and terror at the exact same moment....
The news lady didn't see Vestor for probably the same reasons as the interviewee. The lights were probably glaring in her eyes, mixed with her mind being on her job, and voila...
Vestor is invisible.
Also doctor, I like your deep dive studies into mental health topics that you did before you moved into true crime. Doing those shorts have been really helpful for informing people that they exist.
Congratulations Dr.Grande!!🥳🥳 I hope you and your family enjoy the new house!! ♥️I remember all studios, enjoyed watching them evolve. Excited to see studio 4, may there be at least 1 cactus 🌵✌️♥️🇨🇦
Yes! think about the cacti! Oh won't somebody think of the cacti!
Probably there isn't a cactus in the WHOLE WORLD that is thought of more!
I remember the early Patreon days of Dr G gluing his fake bricks up in his son’s old bedroom. The hard work is definitely paying off!
You mean to tell me that this ingrate got hired at Bank of America, PG&E, a large insurance company and five separate TV news organizations and he was still crying about discrimination? And you know that the only reason they let him go was that he was such a liability that getting sued by him was worth it. All he had to do was to take a chill pill, keep his mouth shut and learn the ropes, but he couldn't do it. Unbelievable.
Awww! I love hearing personal messages from Dr. Grande!

I can’t imagine people watching the broadcast live and even the tv station witnessing a murder of one of their employees. Revenge is never the solution or trying to get justice on his own.
Oh I’m so glad you brought that forward- that getting revenge for Dylan’s bad deed was the excuse to cover (to himself and others, probably) his real motive of purely self centeredness. This was chilling and terrifying. Could you possibly do a video on - how diesone de- escalate a person like this in the office etc? However it does occur to me that that may be the skills if a professional negotiator, and not your field. Plus, I am aware that if you even did give this advice, people might sue you if they tried it and the vulnerable narcissistic attacked them anyways. So. But thank you. I’ve come across this person. I also recall my ears pricking up when, on the tv show Law And Order, one of the characters was referred to as a “grievance collector. . It’s frightening.
I never heard about a homecoming prince. When I was in highschool, the girls who were runners up in the homecoming queen vote became members of the "Queen's Court." Whoever was voted homecoming king stood alone, no princes, no dukes, not even squires.
When I was in high school, homecoming “prince” was a thing, but it basically meant “runner-up” to the king just like the runner-up to the queen and the whole lot were called “homecoming court”. Maybe this is a Texas thing because homecoming is a really big deal here. 🙄
That's the way it was at my high school. Dumb idea, homecoming prince.

Hope the move went well . Please remember the cactus plants!
How can one know whether someone IS a vulnerable narcissist though? We're told we mustn't attempt to "diagnose" other people, & yet it would seem that this is required if we're to beware of narcissists.
I live less than a hour from Roanoke n just happened to be in the Roanoke ER that day with my Mother …. Everything there went on heavy security and lock down for hours bc they didn’t know where he was or if he would perhaps show up at the ER (it being the one his previous co-workers were taken to)
