Finding the perfect spot on public land takes some doing but I found a real honey-hole to set up a ladder stand. It took 3.5 miles of pleasant walking and stalking to find it. The wind was in my favor the whole time.
It was a bit breezy at times. Pardon the wind noise on the Go-Pro. I'm stalking into the wind.
This is public-land hunting where deer feeders, shooting houses, and grass patches are not allowed. It's bare bones back to the basics of deer hunting. Motorized vehicles are not allowed. It's pure grunt work to get it done and get your deer out of there.
Those who connect with a deer and drag it out deserve the title "Deer Hunter."

@@DavidKralikOutdoors now it is 60 & tonight it will be around 30-40 deg. Our favorite time of year ! Lovely Colors !
@@terryw.milburn8565 those are perfect temps. Just got back from walking my ladder stand a mile deep. 85 degrees ahead of this cold front that coming through tonight.
