Good to see you David! I am glad you and your wife are safe and doing well. We are also taking this situation seriously. My wife says she's not worried about it because she says that I (me) have it all covered. She has never been so enthusiastic about my self-reliant ways but she sure has found comfort in all my preparedness this time. Anyhow, I hope the Lord will watch over you, your wife and other family and friends during this crisis. Hopefully He will bring us all through it safely. Take care brother and I look forward to seeing more videos soon.

Thanks John. I really feel for folks packed together like sardines in a can. We have lived in the cities. No more of that for us. Prayers for you and yours as well my friend.

You are absolutely correct when you ask how many ways do you have/know to cook food.
A lot of people are stocking up on food, but basically relying on their household stove to cook it. All while I'm gathering hardwood, charcoal and propane for various stoves and grills.
Stay safe and thanks for the video.

Thanks for the prayers, Shane. We are doing what we can. Prayers for you as well. I like it that the "officials" are telling people to get outdoors as much as possible.

Hello again my friend! You have raised a good question, I have a natural gas stove so barring some mega catastrophe I'm ok but I haven't always been in this position. For years I lived in apartments that had electric stoves. The electricity would go out on a regular basis, I bought a 2 burner Coleman stove for just that eventuality, saved my bacon (pun intended ) several times! I would encourage anyone relying on electricity to cook to have a "Plan B". Hey I'm a fat guy, food is important! Thanks again. Pink

Electric is our normal mode. We are set up though to be totally off-grid capable if "need" be for whatever reason.

I had many a meal that was cooked over a homemade backyard fire grill. A half a dozen concrete pavers and a grate. Some of the best grilled chicken with a homemade bbq sauce and homemade potato salad. I just had supper, but now I'm hungry all over again! Hang in there!

Hickory smoked some brats last night had leftovers tonight. Food tastes so much better outside on a fire

Not many hickory trees around us this close to the Gulf. I use Pecan when I can get it. Otherwise it's oak.

I had such a good time visitin with y'all! My friend we here in the Pacific northwest are watching folks fall sick. My worry is they shut the pawn shops and the can return places, which is 90% of sketchy folks way to make money. The nefarious will come looking for drugs and money from older folks. We have protection but many old liberal hippies do not sadly. Pray for them 🤗💖
