Yeah and besides that, the minute he got put on look how many African-Americans he put on, Royce, Proof, Bizzare, Swifty,Mr. Porter, Kuniva, 50 Cent, Tony Yayo , Loyd Banks, Young Buck, Obie Trice,Ca$his….. that and he has been donating since he started making money to charities that are African-American charities. Some are for their in his city of Detroit and others help black women go to college, this is all stuff he was doing way before anyone had a problem with him. This is stuff he was doing right after the Slim Shady LP.
I am so tired I got up and coming artist in one city getting mad at legends from their city for not putting them on especially if said legend has already put on like a dozen other people. At some point it’s not his job to make sure everybody gets a deal. Dr. Dre gets the same kind of hate from so many rappers in Southern California because they think it’s his job to make them a celebrity. Eminem didn’t wake up one day and decided he wanted to be a rapper and someone gave him Dr. Dre’s phone number. He has been working at being a rapper for almost a decade at that point. Eminem didn’t get signed when he was 19 or 20 he was signed when he was 26 years old.

Piece of advise: You REACH for the top, the top NEVER reaches for the bottom. Just like you push the button to get on the elevator, the elevator NEVER pushes the button for you.
You want to be "known"? Find the "top dogs" in your industry and seek their attention and assistance. DO NOT "wait for them to see you". They are in a completely different mind-set of how to keep moving UPWARD. They already reached and surpassed the "milestone" you haven't even THOUGHT of yet.
When you are driving a sled through the wilderness, the driver isn't looking at the pack of dogs pulling the sled inch by inch. The driver is looking at the horizon keeping an eye out for shortcuts, paths already laid out by others, and possible signs left by explorers who already mapped out the landscape.
In other words. YOU want to be thought of as the best? Then work with the best so that you GET recognized as being the best one out there.

Royce has almost single handedly defended Em against everyone for years risking to be insulted in the process and because he says sometimes that he can understand an opposite point. Some Em fans were like " That's it. F royce. I don't ever want to see him collab with Em again. Snake " not realizing Em himself hates those kind of dividing fans and said so many times

Then if you aren’t a lyrical rapper most likely Eminem won’t collaborate or sign you to his label because that’s the era he came from.
So in this new era when most rappers aren’t lyrical anymore because majority of the youth don’t care about doubles/triples set bars or storytelling/flow switches anymore.
They only care about if the beats are 🔥 and it has a catchy hook that the artist repeats like 4/5 times in the song with only 1 maybe 2 verses with the MV having thicc women throwing that ass back in that 1:30/2:00 music video. 😂

Em will work with anyone that he thinks is deserving.. Like you said, he looks for ppl that are unique and have put in the work without asking for handouts.. Em literally came from nothing and grinded to the top.. Never asked for handouts, he was out there giving his tapes out hoping for someone to see the potential without begging. These rappers just expect Em to work with them just because they from the same city. Like Calicoe, T Grizz and all them.. Talking about Em don't help Detroit rappers or do anything for Detroit.. Which actually he does A lot, from Charites, toy drives etc.. Helped Battle rappers from Detroit.. 1. Putting them on the dvds behind the scenes and extras. 2. Got them exposure. The dude "Lyckety Splyt" is a underground Detroit rapper "Strike". Who Em even bailed out of jail so he could finish his parts in the movie. Has a song with him as well. Em has worked with A LOT of artist from the D.. King Gordy, Helluva, Da Ruckus, Hush.. I mean the list goes on.. So for ppl to actually talk shit about Em not helping anyone without even knowing is just some hater shit..

    This is what it is:
All the cats on Big Sean’s cypher are new school. The people he named in the top 5 are from the era Eminem came up. There was a beef between the Street Lordz Chedda Boys and Eastside Chedda Boys. SL had Blade Icewood, Juan, etc and Eastside had Malik, Wipeout, etc. Wipeout got killed and they killed Blade in retaliation. Big Herk was part of Rock Bottom…his own crew and is a Westside guy. Then Stretch Money came along for the Eastside and Malik left the CB moniker and just went by Chedda Boy Malik and released the street anthem “We Do it Big.” K-Deezy came along for the Westside and came out with his Stuck in My Ways Album with the banger In My Hood.
They reconciled their differences mostly and a few other acts came out of it but it is all predicated on street rap with grimey beats. That generation bred Icewear Vezzo and Doughboy Cashout. Which led eventually to Sada Baby, 42 Dugg and Tee Grizzley.
I think the best representation of Detroit rap overall is the K-Deezy stuck in my ways album (it’s on Spotify). But some of the Dj Young Mase mixtapes are amazing. If you want to experience the Detroit sound he’s talking about:
Big Herk: on the block, trap going ham, do what you do
Stretch Money: lil sum sum, hit the block, takes money to make money
Malik: we do it big, bottle poppin, throw the money:
Blade Icewood: ride on em, game on lock, and the entire blood sweat and tears album
Eastside Chedda boys: I’m a Chedda boy baby, oh boy
The reason he says “oh they’re good lyricists but we don’t rock with them” is because despite the fact we have Eminem, Royce, Elzhi, black milk, Obie trice, Big Sean, and J Dilla to name a few, the hood feels like the commercialization of their music doesn’t encapsulate their style or sound or what they want to get across and that the “real” Detroit style won’t be able to sell on their mainstream…so they’ve sacrificed their roots for riches and notoriety. I don’t believe that to be the case but that is their rationale.

Yo I am a 40 year old cat that has been a head for many years (since late 80s) and in line with an idol of mine "You cant truly love all music unless you have participated in it at some point in your life" I have participated many years ago and now just enjoy the legends while they here and give it up to the legends that added bricks to the house of hip hop but rep from the otherside. I have always appreciate the way you think so I love your videos... I rarely if ever disagree but it is always good to surround one self with different schools of thought which is how we learn best. That said, I appreciate you and your input and wish there more more cats that approach topics by using all sides of the brain to the best of our ability. Peace and Blessings.
