Great that you were able to find fish in the heat wave. Earlier this month, I fished on that lake when the heat wave was worst. I was in the boat and caught some big pike in the deep water far off the pump house (as seen on my shorts).
Great work finding those pike along the weeds. That is some nice clear water! It's good to keep yourself hydrated in that heat. I'm still yet to try that white and green LT spoon. Nice video, Sean. Those pike were fighting good!
Even with the water level being higher then normal those weeds still sticking out like that 😮 Got a good splash from fish #1 lol. Cool that fish was still on when u were in the weeds. I was there a month ago and the weeds were already bad. Makes it impossible to judge how big they are but adds a bit of excitement when the dive in the weeds and come in with an extra 10 pounds of salad lol. Chilli pineapple bites sounds really good. That last pike wasn’t giving up for nothing, I think he wanted his picture taken, great episode as always 🤙😎
@AnglingSpiders it was great, got a keeper, walleye, one over, and 30 more little walleye. I pike grabbed onto a walleye as I was reeling in, all off the dock. water is still high
That was a beautiful day with glass calm water although a breeze would be nice. We had a real hot and humid spell but thankfully that has moved on …..for now. The bite was kinda slow but you managed to pull in a nice 30 incher and double digits makes for a real good day in my book.
I have become a huge fan of composite rods like Ugly Stik and Berkley Cherrywood. Never had one break! Can't say the same about graphite rods like St. Croix rods. last one I bought snapped on a good bend. Call me old fashioned but I think a rod should be able to take a bend. It is kind of what they were designed to do lol.
