That was awesome Sean ! No need to apologize, lures were meant to be eaten, the more beat up it gets the better testament it becomes. I am really interested in how the epoxy holds up to those razor sharp teeth. I knew when your name came up in the random comment picker you would do me proud…. especially with that particular lure / pattern …. It was meant to be. What a great day you had ! Thanks for putting my lure thru its paces. Looking forward to part 2 !!
Don, I wil send you a picture of the paint job. Given the teeth, I think pretty good. There are a few places it got hit bad for sure, but I have seen much worse. I am hoping to get back out with it tomorrow
I can feel your excitement to get out on the water Sean 😉 starting out with a beautiful 34” 💪🏻 Two cast to get on the custom fire tiger!!!! That lure was definitely on 🔥. 35 1/2” beauty!!! 9 fish morning not to mention the others close to the kayak. Looking forward to part two and seeing how the paint job looks at the end of the day!
Thanks Chris, unfortunately that big one bent the hooks of the Fire Tiger so I had to stop using it. I have already repaired it and will be able to use it again in the next trip out.
What a great way to start off the Season Opener with a 34! Awesome. I love that you were rolling on the trolling shot. I like watching that rod go off while you're paddling. Old school. That's one of the things I miss now that I have a motor...trolling isn't the same. I caught WAY more trolling while paddling because I wasn't spooking the fish as bad. No problem to get a photo for your buddy when you keep slaying 'em. 35.5"? Wow.
When I saw you win that lure on Don's channel, I knew it would definitely see some teeth marks. The bite was fire!, with some giants, an awesome day, looking forward to part 2.
Start with 34" and finished with 35.5" Pike that's what I'm talking about Sean awesome day of fishing buddy stay safe out there waiting for part two 🍻 Tightline 🎣
Awesome. I'm jealous - I had a family event last weekend followed by a work trip to Winnipeg so I haven't gotten out in the last couple. Well done on the 35.5" piker!
Pike seem to short bite at this time of year vs later on in the summer. I lose just as many pike as I catch during May, doesn't matter what lure I use.
Great looking pike. Good start to the fishing season👍
Thanks 👍
Some great pike action Sean! Well done and good to see the lure you won from Don getting chewed up!! 👍👍
I have definitely put in some work with it. Thanks Kyle.
Wow you were dialed in on the fire tiger - congrats on a great day! Hard to believe how clear that water was! Tight lines my friend! Captain Zac
Thanks, it got even better in the afternoon!

Clear lake is good this year, I went there too and caught 13 off shore
It is usually good easrly season, but it will change soon as the algae starts to grow

Agreed, I assume it has something to do with spawn
You smoked them on that jerkbait.
Thanks, it sure worked well!
