    After ordering my 3-Burner Ultimate Grill I called Pit Boss to get help in ordering accessories for it, and the woman that was on the phone with me was very helpful and even found me a cover for it after looking on multiple websites for days on end without any results!! Great customer service. Also keep up the great work guys!! I've used mine 4 times now and couldn't be more happy with my purchase!

    I love the Pitboss griddle designs, but I think I am a Blackstoner for life! I just don't trust that the ceramic versions would hold up over time. Also, I love the feel of using steel, heavy duty utensils for my cook. Up-keeping a steel griddle top is also part of the fun for me. Appreciate you guys showcasing these and putting them through the paces.

      Look at it this way, IF the coating breaks down then you oil down. I have had my pit boss ultimate for about a month and a half use it all the time (seasonal camper so it gets heavy use from March until the end of October). I had a long time restaurant owner (60 years) who has a commercial grade in the restaurant kitchen, looked at the pit boss ultimate and talked himself out of the Blackstone.

    Thank you for this info. But I was wondering how long will it handle high heat, I love doing smash burgers on high heat because of the great crust you achieve . Most ceramic skillets for stove top have a 500F or below temperature rating, because ceramic will unbound from skillets at constant temperatures 500 and above. I have pitboss Deluxe 4 burner that I'm thinking of upgrading to the ceramic top replacement they make for it. Do you think it can handle temperatures above 500. I can actually get griddle to 700F on wide open.

I quickly figured out you need to scrape and clean right after each cook. Since finding that out, My griddle looks like new all the time. I did do one deep clean and I hope I don't need to do that for a very long time. I do wish Pit Boss would come out with grease cup liners for this model. :) Cheers!

    I have the Sierra griddle and it has been amazing! I am definitely a little rougher with mine than you guys in the sense that I use olive oil for most of my cooking as I like the flavor it adds and the additional browning it helps me achieve. Also I tend to use higher heat again for additional searing/charring of foods. With that said I definitely have the darker spots on the griddle surface, but It doesn’t affect the nonstick ability of the griddle….delicate items such as eggs and pancakes slide right off with ease! I have 22+ years working on a commercial flat top griddle so when I was looking for something to mimic the flat top I worked on for years, I was definitely very skeptical that the Pit Boss Sierra would live up to my standards, but it has blown me away! I give these griddles 5 spatulas out of 5!
    P.S. I also love the Pit Boss spatulas and scraper set, it is all I have used on mine and they have also been fantastic. They have a great weight and feel to them much like the utensils I used in a commercial cooking setting. The Facebook group is awesome, lots of cools folks there sharing their experiences and cooking ideas. I love posting there and sharing my favorite dishes! Great job as always guys! I've been watching your cooks for a while now, and have been waiting for my spatula set to be delivered. It's been on backorder now for the past almost 3 months and whenever I call to enquire about the status of my order I get the corporate answer of "They're on backorder due to the shipping & shortage issues in the supply chain." I was hoping to have you guys get in touch with them about some sort of time frame of when they'll be receiving them & an overall answer to the question, "where's the product I ordered months ago."
    As for your informative tips & tricks, keep up the good work. I bought the Ultimate 4 burner griddle because of the awesome reviews and ovations you've given each & every cook. If there was just 1 question I had about them it would be this... Can you use a sharp knife to cut your steak & chicken on the griddle while it's cooking, or should that be done either before or after you cook the food?

    • @waltwins

Feel free to reach out to us on fb or Instagram, so we can see your questions easier.😁 as far as the cutting, no, do it before and after. It will protect both the surface and your knife. Do pit boss ceramic griddle require the seasoning or cook off before first use?

  • @WoooSaaaW
    @WoooSaaaW Год назад +1

    i bought the sierra in april and was loving it but over the course of the past 2 months i've had issues with the non-stick surface. I only use the bitboss nylon utensils, and clean it with water and soap and it looks perfectly brand new but... however, the non-stick surface seems to be completely gone. if i make a smash burger the tasty crunchy part will stick completely 10/10 times now. I typically cook at low and ive taken soo much precautions to clean, prep and do everything right but i'm so disappointed the griddle is already starting to fail 2 months later.
    Pit boss will warranty replace it but do you think this a one off defective griddle or am i doing something wrong? I talked extensively to pitboss customer service and they seemed to assume me what i was doing is fine so im deeply concerned about the longevity of these griddles.

    Thanks for the review and honest and straight forward review of the Pit Boss. I know there is lots of comments about the non-stick option being a double edge sword, and depends on where you place your value and priorities. Regardless, with over 100 griddles, and its still looks brand new, that is pretty telling regarding its quality and durability. And just like with anything, how you treat the Pit Boss in care, denotes how long it will last. thanks again and griddle on gents!!!

One times, thigh, if we’ve got a really solid press on them, they will stick (which is common because it’s creating the Maillard reaction and getting that crust). We use the nylon scraper to kind of dig in and work around the edges to help it pull up. Hope this helps!! It takes a few times to get used to, but it will work! Good luck fam!🤙🤙

      That is where i am at. Yeah its non stick now, but it 2-3 years will it still be. I cook at least 80% of my meals so whatever I get will be getting a lot of work, and I don't want to have to get one every 3 years. That being said this looks to be a lot easier to maintain during that 3+ years, ill probably be moving to a humid area in 2 and steel will require more just to keep the rust off on top of cleaning etc that will be more work. Tough call.
      And a small point as it can be worked around but I do prefer steel for how you can go at it with metal for things like a chopped cheese. Yeah you can get by with other tools on this, but hacking away with metal is just easy for items like that.
