    A good alternative to electrolyte tablets is by putting a few pinches of salt in your water or adding a dilute juice to your water, salt and bit of sugar helps during training. Salt most importantly as you lose it through your sweat, more salt= less cramps.

    Hey! I have a question regarding your meals the day before the game. You argued for using granola in your shake and white rice in your lunch since they're high on the GI-scale and you want a quick release of carbs to fuel you during the game. However, from my understanding foods high on the GI-scale is absorbed in less than 2 hours after consumption and is then followed by a crash in blood sugar levels. Why would you want that the day before a game, rather than consuming low GI foods to maintain a steady blood sugar level during the day and leading into matchday?

    Where did you find the information on implementing high glycemic foods into your diet prior to a game? It's something I'm looking into at the moment. As going off the "regular recommendations" foods high on the GI-scale is absorbed in less than 2 hours after consumption and is then followed by a crash in blood sugar levels. Is the beneficial the day before a game, rather than consuming low GI foods to maintain a steady blood sugar level during the day and leading into match day? super curious.. Great video as always man!

    • @tonye.5410
      @tonye.5410 3 года назад +1

      no, eat to satisfaction. Portion control is very over-rated. Actually very subjective scientifically speaking. It doesn't really matter? What matters is how well your body absorbs its nutrients.

    • @Damn-Sandwich
      @Damn-Sandwich Год назад

      @@tonye.5410 exactly and if the body doesn’t want to absorb too much of said nutrient it gets excreted

    • @tonye.5410
      @tonye.5410 3 года назад

      sugar is not the issue, actually, scientifically speaking, sugar doesn't effect the overall performance absorption of most foods. It's actually the carbohydrate, starch combination with the sugars. I play for about 3 hours a day on sugar cubes. Tremendous energy, but clean without the hurdles of major digestion.
