DEBOSS GARAGE I just submitted mine! The best towing FUMMINS on the internet!
Lol, I love how in the form to submit your project it gives a Cummins powered reliant Robin as an example. Sounds like a sure way to have a swift death.lol!!
after all that man has been through you should do a cummins swap for him! good video series!
I have a 85 El Camino with a Corvette LT-1, 4 speed OD automatic and a Grand National rear end. Painted custom pearl white. Engine install looks like factory with everything working, A/C cruise, PS, PB and more. Center lines, radial TA's and a custom suspension. HEMI chargers no problem!
@@radioactivelarry I checked and subbed your channel...need pics of your elco please! I had a black '83 that I miss...always got compliments on it. Yours sounds badass
That headliner is what I call temporarily permanent
I've seen a few of these in person, and yea ......they all have the custom headliner you speak of!!!
it's temporary unless it works
its just mere cosmetics
No such thing as permanent anymore
A temporary fix that works.
"I don't need automatic headlights when i have a 6 door truck to drive around"
Dude i felt that
Yo, Dan!
Hi Dan!
If buddy is reading comments im sorry for your loss. Seems cancer effects everybody in one way or another. Glad you are thankful for the time you had with him during that period of his life. Party on garth...
Thank you. Those were some of the roughest years of my life, but they've made me a stronger person. Party on Wayne!
.....excellent ! ! !
Z Ack I concur. I was following your build for a good while there pogi as I'm looking to stretch my 7.3 dually and I am quite delighted for you sharing your build here along with its history, but also pained to hear of your loss. My condolences and blessings both!
@@pogiPearson sorry for your loss I nearly lost my dad to cancer very thankful to have him we have plans to 6 door my long bed 08 harley 6.4 I have already purchased the donor truck a 08 crew cab shortbed harley truck just need to find the time nice truck man
Outstanding truck, Im not a Ford guy but Id drive it. Condolences
This is 10x better than any mini van on the market atm.👌
I’d drive this anyday
Hey my my brother Matt was doing this exact build on almost the exact same truck when he passed away almost 10 years ago. I know his buddies he was working on it with kept it. You said someone had already started this project, did this truck ever come from Missouri?
If It Did That Would Be Epic My Condolences To You Both
Instead of selling it. Offer to build one for them BOOM! You sir just started a business.
I'm not sure they are willing to pay for two years of evenings and weekends. Thats a LOT of shop time, and a lot of basic consumables. Skill wise its a body shop techniction, so average annual salary in USA is $51k usd, then you have workshop rent, utilities, equipment, cost of capital.... even doing it full time with the oldest kid helping outside of school to making one every month (which would likely saturate the market really quick) you'd need to charge like $30k+ on top of the already perfect donor truck.
What a downer
@@SheepInACart seems reasonable to me.
@@SheepInACart I think the ideal way would be to scour auctions and/or water damage trucks (freshwater prefferably) as you pretty much have to do a complete teardown to do the inside bodywork. From there sell all the parts you don't need and buy crate motors (I'm not a diesel guy so idk if cummins has crate motors) toss them in and boom. I'd say as a business You'd need 4 guys on top of yourself and a 3 bay shop would be great (a lift would be a great thing to have but not required) As for market saturation over the continental united states 12 a year wouldn't be harmful until the first 1000 as an estimate. Tools and shop space would be the big expenses, though.
@@SheepInACart It only took so long because of the accident that happened in the beginning and his brother got cancer
Rich, it's been so cool to see you reviewing local projects I've seen around town. It's great to know the story behind that awesome custom truck! You need to pass through Utah again and do a meet up!
"traded some guns for car parts" this guy is awesome.
MURIKUH
Damn, that is badass, all the way around, a badass truck, I am for the most part, a GM guy, but love that era of super duty's, and the 6.0 is and can be a great powerplant
Awesome build, whats even more awesome is he did this with his brother and kids. Not only does he get a truck out of it, but hes got so many valuable memories. For him and the kids. Sorry to hear his brother passed away.
There is an orange F350 here in Thunder Bay with 6 doors. Its been around for 7~8 years. Guy owns a construction company, hauls his workers around; and in winter, its a sled hauler.
Need to see about grafting an Excursion headliner in there. Then utilize the dual A/C ductwork. Sweet ride. I am really sorry about your brother. I feel your pain as my brother is currently having chemotherapy for lymphoma.
It would still have to sectioned. I've built both six door Ford pickups and excursions. You always need two headliners. The rear window of the excursion is too differently shaped to match the 3rd door. The coolest one we made was a 6 door excursion 450 dually.
This is so Utah. I think I saw this guy on I15 on my way from Salt Lake to Vegas. He passed me going 90.
Love these videos you are doing showcasing people's builds. Please keep them coming. My condolences to this gentleman for the loss of his brother.
Truly amazing. I've never understood why none of the factory 3 row of seats SUV's have a rear door like this, or for that matter any location adjustment (ie legroom vs cargo room tradeoff)... even a half door like an extended cab uses would make the 3rd row far less of a lemon than it normally is.
its for crash ratings the doors are essentially voids in a crash everything these days is so much beefier in the bodys compared to the 90s and earlier
@@imchris5000 Only we don't see such doors in older designs before rollover considerations either, and while it could be well be a factor today, many SUV's have opening (hence granting no structure in a crash) glass sunroof's that span all the way between two front rows, and there are still 4 door convertibles on sale. Hence the compromise of adding more weight in reinforcing to have the same crash performance and stiffness from large body voids seems to already be being made for what I consider a MUCH less practical reasons. Hence while a pillar-less design would be totally ruled out, I'm still surprised we don't see any brand opt for practical additions of weight over luxuries items.. because heated and cooled thrid row seats with no legroom or easy access like at least two of the current market options feature seems a very very weird compromise to me.
God rest his brother’s soul and God bless a creative family for building such a beautiful rig
We are building a f550 6 door excursion right now 6 speed manual 7.3 manual transfer case
Matthew Heckathorn that’s rad!!!
I'm a GM man at heart but, I can always appreciate something else. That thing is awesome!
Finally a good 6.0 story, with six doors, really nice truck.
6.0 with all the issues addressed - and lots of money spent
@@jacobmoses3712 No, he replaced the original oil cooler.........not fixed. He said it is already acting up. The remote air to air cooler and remote filter is the way to go, but is expensive at $2500 for the parts. I agree it is a nice truck, I borrow a fully bulletproofed 6.0 f350 dually for towing right now, but will buy a 2500 duramax next year. As nice as those fords can be, there are too many drawbacks for the price of doing a nice engine/trans build on a clean truck, not to mention the age.
Now you get twice the amount of French fries stuck in between your seats
11:02 - that's what I was thinking. Not a Ford guy but that is a pretty awesome build. Very nice! My condolences for the brother, cancer sucks!
Awesome build an irreplaceable moments shared, condolences & thank you for sharing your build an story!
I've seen a F350 Dually like this. It's an awesome setup.
6 kids? Seems you forgot the 32nd rule of marriage. Never have more kids than you can haul around. You solved it with the 37th rule of marriage. Marry a woman who actually likes your solutions to failure to follow rule number 32.
@@bilbobaggins4710 that is just rude. How would you like it if someone talked about your wife like that. Grow up man.
@@MarkK01 He'd have to have one for him to feel anything.
Love the truck. Also have 6 kids and would love to do that with my 2000 super duty.
The Executioner
Not necessarily. I used to have a girl with seven kids I’d use as a booty call when I was bored. She was as tight as some women with only one kid. She was a total freak and would sometimes invite her girlfriend to join.
Just bought a 88 suburban, seats 9. I'll be good for a while.
I'm planning on doing the same with my '95. I sure hope I can do as nice of job that you guys did. Looks awesome. I only have five kids but when we had the 4th one, I told the Mrs. that I was going to add 2 more doors to it. I also have that, "If they can do it; why can't I attitude." Thanks for sharing.
It would look so hot with two rear axles. 6X6, 6 door, 6 liter. Would that be too many sixes?
Where are you going to put the wheels
8 foot bed to accommodate the 2 rear axles. Black and red paint. Name the build the Luci Goosey. (Luci, short for Lucifer
@@codythomas3678 too long lol
6 seats
We've got an Excursion we stretched into an 8 door that's not quite done yet. It's a 7.3 but may get swapped to a 5.9 12 valve out of a motor home.
Thatonekid245
Post a video of it or your full of shit.
8.3 it instead

Your truck is WAY KOOLER THAN ANYTHING ELSE YOU CAN BUY!👍💪🙏😁
Beautiful truck with a great and meaningful story.
Right before the burnout a State Farm Drive Safe commercial came on... HA!
I remember back in the early 90s going to America and saw in a car park, an extended truck, it was so long it took two parking bays and that memory of this amazing truck has stayed with me ever since.
This truck is amazing and such amazing story with a sad twist.
Older Dodges '71-'93 are like this. People were grafting the extended cab backs onto crew cabs because it was very easy.
GM Kodiak/Topkick were the same way too.
That´s probably the best school bus/family van I have seen.
Very cool build. Amazing story!!
Seen this irl, it's bigger than it looks in video... nearly drove right over my geo metro ;D
“6drs an a Cummins”, best line ever!
Mt. Timp in the background! Love the truck! Thanks for the video, sorry about your loss, wonderful memories with you bro.
Micheal here from Vsauce.
LOL! My nephew always says that to me!
Yes.... This guy looks like the product of a Vsauce and Jessie James one night stand, who grew up to become a family man with 6 kids.
exactly what i was thinking!
Great Build! Love the Truck! God Bless U and Family! So Cool!
This might be my favourite build ever, from the story to the end product.
Great for you guys....complete with kids in the back seat. “Dad, are we there yet?” That truck can go anywhere.... thanks for sharing....
Always loved this stretched super duties. RIP to his brother.
Ohhh that lift kit is great changing oil would be soooo easy.
I love this machine and the gentleman is a champion couldn't find what he needed so he built it, how american is that
CAN'T WAIT 4 THE NEXT PROJECT STORY HERE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I live a ways off but I have an 01 Tacoma with a 5.9 24v almost ready to drive all that is needed is a front drive shaft.
Checker Aerobus: Am I a joke to you?
Awesome. I'd fully support that. Even better it has a 6.0.
It would have been easier to buy an excursion or suburban buuuuuuut this is far cooler!
Ahh love me a good ole 6.0
Also good if your kids sometimes don't get along, you can spread them around in the truck.
Excursion with a bed. Badass.
Needs a 12 foot box as well, how long can we make it? :)
Therapist: Ford F550 Doesn't exist. it cant hurt you
Ford F550:
Great rig! It's looks like a damn good job! Sorry about your brother but I bet he is smiling down at you and yours.
Hey! I remember that day! I took my diesel rabbit there!
Dam, imagine the cab over camper you could put on this!!
just so you know even body men hate body work lol
Finally the perfect limousine for Michigan's roads.
You just don't know sentiment till it hits home. And yeah. I've kept my brother from selling his.
Amazing. Sorry about you're loss. Great bulid.
I'm a Ford truck lover, this one it absolutely the pinnacle of a crew cab, too cool! I didn't catch if this was an aluminum cab and bed or is it steel?
radioactivelarry all steel, Only new ford trucks are that aluminum 🗑

Impressive build. You did a great job filming this.
I have same issue, too many kids lol. Was planning on making a gmt400 5 door but health has slowed me down last couple years and seems to keep getting pushed off. One day that pile a parts in the yard will get put together.
Sorry for the loss of your brother, I can’t even imagine loosing one of my brothers.
theres a guy here in southeastern WI, that has an 08-10 super duty thats also a 6 door but has a 10ft bed, guy needs a special licences to drive it and its awesome
There was a family in Sask that took their chevy down to Custom autos by Tim to get it stretched. I believe CAT is in Colorado. When they came back, the frame had been modified so the customs guys wouldnt let it back into the country. Eventually it had sat there for a year and the Premier had to finally step in and order it to be allowed into Canada.
Saw one exactly the same yesterday at the store!! Badass truck
Awesome truck, sorry your brother passed,You guys did a great job.dont ever sell it drive it forever man, part of your brother is in that truck.
I’ve always tossed this idea around with an Expedition because I have 6 kids. Well, I guess I know what I’m doing.

Leland Holton so did Ford, they called it an excursion.
6 kids will make you do crazy things and this truck is way cooler than an old hearse!
I'm really surprised they don't offer these factory if it's that easy, especially in the larger size of trucks
Must be comical to see the looks you get when people pass you. "Where's the end of this damn thing?"
Get the feeling not a lot of people passing him : ]
Be like Spaceball 1 during the intro cut scene. :D
Awesome truck!! I would be proud of owning that.
Beautiful story, beautiful truck.
Some dry graphite lube all over the hood latch makes them open much easier, like new. Just did it on 2 ford pickups. No more hitting the hood to open.
Now thats's great conversion...
Crazy and fun!
Nice looking build. Only a little longer than my F350 Crew Cab long box. Would have looked cool to tack on a SuperCab at the end. The 6.0 is a great engine if you treat it right.
Love that y’all do these videos keep them coming
That is awesome. I can't wait to stretch mine I just want to stretch the bed not the cab, but mine's got 34in of lift on 53s
This is so sick! I wish I'd have one of these.
Cool project truck I have ever seen !
Should've come 50 miles north while you were here in utah and visit the diesel brothers shop in woods cross and my shop up the street from them lol
First thought is...those 6 leakers are heavy, hood to have lots of help pushing them suckers😉👍🤣🤣😎
After hearing that guys story, I'd help push too. Sure would have been a great build if he'd done the Cummins swap too😎👍
