I don't know, it just hit me sideways, I thought it was hillarious. I enjoy your videos, they're well-researched, exceptional and relevant images, your voice, and any background noise stays in the background (doesn't distract from the subject), and they'e incredibly interesting. Thank you.
@@TheMuseumGuide We went to Wales on holiday (we only lived in Gloucestershire lol) when I was child before we moved to Australia and the story of Gelert has stayed with me ever since.
Laughed when you said Southworth looked like Elvis as, last time we saw him, my wife said, “He’s wearing an Elvis wig”😂. We can’t get out much nowadays so love touring via your channel and always look forward to the uploads. Thank you, Jessica👍
Places I may never go, and their accompanying stories. Better than pictures, you know to look at the stuff in motion as the camera pans and moves around. The stories are well said, and explained. New ways to look at things I know about, a little sometimes, more others, or a blank spot in my knowledge. Tickles in a great way when I learn something new. Butt kissing? No, I just don't have the words to say what I'm trying to write without it breaking down into sounding flowery, or scitzo. I like this channel a lot.
Uhm! Excuse me handsome priest at 27:13?! Btw, great video! Thanks to your channel, I found out about the Hunterian Museum and spent a good 3 hours there!
One of my first bosses was married at St Clements Dane, her hubby was an Airforce doctor. Beautiful church. Westminster Cathedral - it looks a lot different to when I used to go in in the 80's, it was all black with candle wax in the ceilings then!
Me again. Finally got chance to watch it all! Guinefort is essentially the same story as that of Gelert, who lends his name to Beddgelert in North Wales, and where you can see his alleged grave.
Excellent video. You may have thought Poltergeist when you saw the column, but I thought that this would be an excellent project for the new Time Team episodes that they are making. I wonder if the Vicar would let them put some trenches in there?
I have to say that Im so glad to have found this channel. Its wonderful to see all this beautiful art as I sit in my home. Its the next best thing to seeing these things myself in person. Gotta love technology ❤

Hi Jessica, another fascinating grab of London''s history, never get bored in old London Town. You certainly unearth some wonderful, interesting topics.
In the New Colony, in St. Mary's (Maryland) the whipping post is in the "Amen Corner." They made it in to Baltimore and the Battle Monument has the name James Lowry Donaldson
Perfect video for this time of year! I always enjoy your tours. Can't wait to see the Spookiest Objects at the British Museum when it comes up on your Patreon!
Such a perfect tour with you on this windy, cool fall night! Yes, as always, to all the possible videos you suggested you could do. Thank you for another enthralling tour!
FANTASTIC video! I did see the first video, and this is a gorgeous sequel. Must admit, the 'boiled saint' really caught my attention; I live in Tucson, Arizona in the U.S., and our most famous church (St. Xavier del Bac Mission, known as the White Dove of the Desert) contains what *seems* to be the full-body remains of Padre Francisco Kino; it was later proven to be a repurposed lifesized wooden carving of a crucified Christ, but for a very long time (the church was built in 1775) was thought to be a mummy. If you're ever out this way, stop by; the ladies of local Tohono O'odham tribe sells the best frybread with honey in front of the church some days, and they do the absolute best on the planet! Also: COULD you please do a video on pagan vestigial remains in London? Bet that'd go over aces, and I for one would love it. And one about the cats too, please! Have you ever considered doing a video on the *nonhuman* ghosts of London, the spectral dogs, cats, horses, pet hedgehogs and unknown creatures? That'd be *fantastic,* and pretty unique so far as I know.
Saint Roch / Saint Rollox has many references in the north east part of Glasgow. It’s so interesting to hear about the real man - it had never occurred to me before that it was a real person!
I absolutely love your videos, your knowledge is amazing. Just one tip in case you hadn't noticed yourself, several times the audio picks up you shifting around or maybe shifting the microphone, maybe something to look out for when doing voiceovers.

I would definitely watch a video on the masons....anything, really. I have a fascination with historic architecture, and London is chock full of them! I hope to come back one day, but it will depend on having the money and a respite in my mobility issues.
The DaVinci Code was filmed at Rosslyn Chapel, just outside Edinburgh. I was able to take a tour of Rosslyn in 2016. It is possible that they filmed one or 2 scenes at Rosslyn.
@@TheMuseumGuide ah...ok. I missed so much on my trip to the UK in 2016. Didn't account for all the driving. We made a point to tour Rosslyn and a few other places, but only had time to drive around and take pics of other places. I hope to go back one day, as long as I can get my mobility back up. My son still wants to go to Trinity college (the one in Dublin), but he has had too many expenses here. That was the starting point for our trip.
At Eternity's Gate was good. I watched it borrowed from the library. I also really love the Doctor Who episode about Van Gogh. Cried so much from that episode.
I find churches, cathedrals, chapels and abbeys fascinating and eerie but none put the hairs on the back of my neck stand up more than St Bartholomew’s the Great church in Smithfield. Geoffrey of Monmouth up to his old tricks, proving once and for all that he was medieval England's most 'creative' historian!
