Hi sweetheart. I absolutely love the way that black and white dress fits on you especially the way it floats on the bottom hem. Do not do anything to the hem . It looks lovely especially how it floats on the bottom. If you had not said you made a mistake no one would know. It looks like a very natural hem. It is perfect. Baby girl wear the heck out of that dress. It is PERFECT! That cami top is also gorgeous on you so finish it and wear it. 😊
Aaaahhh that is so lovely of you. Thank you so so much. I shall make sure I do. I’m on my way to my holiday, and it’s packed 😊🥰 I shall defo finish the cami top. Thanks so much again 🥰 xx

What a lot of lovely makes. I really enjoy your videos. You are always so bright and cheerful. I thought your M7116 was meant to be a bit flirty at the bottom. It does add to the look of it.
Thanks Angela, I have the M7116 cut out for view B, so interested to hear your comments. Very helpful. I want to try the other views and will see the sizing on this one first. I quickly snuck onto Instagram whilst I was watching and some lovely versions so will go back to view properly. I will also looks at Michelle’s video. Love the Estelle dress too and seeing how it was constructed.
All the outfits look great. I have just got myself an overlooker so I’m giving that a go this weekend. I had a look for the New Look sewing pattern as i like the look of the t-shirt. I was struggling to find it when i searched on 6277 it came up with a formal jacket, so i zoomed into the image in the video and realised the number is 6217!😂
Hi I love all your makes, especially the Estelle and the Mccalls dress. I've made the Tammy handmade bias cut dress a couple of times in viscose and have done a rolled hem using the rolled hem foot on my Janome. It works really well and I find it's far easier to hem a bias cut hemline using this method
@@DevonThreadTales Hi it’s on my sewing machine which is a Janome Atelier 6. Takes a bit of practice but once you get the hang of it it’s a great technique for hemming lightweight fabrics. There are quite a few You Tube videos to watch sorry can’t remember which one I watched
Your makes all look great. I really like the green set. It's great how a really good combination of quite simple patterns and just the right fabric can combine together to make a lovely and rather expensive-looking outfit.
Hi Angela, no need to apologise for family time 🙏. Loving all your makes... especially the TTB set and they didn't look like Pj's to me.. Just a cute set 💞. The trousers look like a really nice fit too.. Just the sort of thing I love to wear 👌. Looking forward to seeing your next video 😁👍💖😘
Enjoyed your video and wanted to tell you about my M7116 makes. I chose the pattern mainly for view d but have since made a and b. My view d didn’t work for at all and I can’t explain why and it ended up in the bin 🙁 However I tried b and love wearing it. I made it from a Minerva £5.99 viscose, added the zip but didn’t cut the skirt on the bias and I love the shape and wear it such a lot. I’ve also made a in a Liberty tana lawn, extending the length to midi. I haven’t yet worn it for 2 reasons, for me the length is wrong and the front and back elastic is too tight. I’ll try to attach photos but not wearing them as I’ve dropped a size and a half since making them. Looking forward to part 2.
Hi love your Estelle dress, very chic. I have made the strappy version of m7116 for this summer with the zip for this summer but not had the weather to wear it. Will check out the # for the other versions as like you I thought they weren’t me. Thank you
I always love your videos. Your makes are beautiful, especially the co-ord set. The Estelle dress looked super on you, and I was amazed when you showed the construction of it. I look forward to part 2 very much.
Lovely to have you back, Angela!😀 I have had the M7116 for a couple of years, but haven't gotten around to making it yet. But now I got very inspired - thank you! My measurements are similar to yours (just bigger at the hips), so I think I'll try the 'size down and put in the zip'.
Hi Angela loved your video thank you for sharing loved all your makes the Estelle dress is a lovely little black dress so get your diamonds 💎 out to wear with it and again it will look gorgeous loved the green outfit to I have the same book I will have to have a go at the trousers they look really good thank you again for your video Dawn xx
I had a similar styled DIY pattern as your New Look, and the neck was too big. I ended up doing the Agnes Tee elastic in the front of the neckline, and now I wear it all the time. Love your set, and the black dress is beautiful and classy :)
Great to see what you have been making Angela. I love the green coord set! I think your FPC cami is also lovely and you should definitely finish it! Can’t offer any advice on sizing as I haven’t made it myself yet but do plan to 😊
I have made a new rule this summer. Wear my new makes around the house for a prolonged period before wearing it 'out in the wild'. This way I can decide if it needs tweaking before wearing out in public. Maybe give that a try - your green coord set is a hit with me.
Very nice makes. That black dress fits you to a t. I think the hem on the black and white ditsy print dress looks cute. The blue floral camisole looked really pretty, don’t see any issues with it. Looking forward to seeing the collaboration outfit because that is such nice fabric. Nice seeing you again after a break…I think you have some of the best makes of all the sewing vlogs.
No apologies necessary! I love our online sewing community. While we all love sewing, we also place high priory on our families and life in general. We are always here for you, to watch your videos whenever they are uploaded. Gosh, what a lovely bunch of makes! I noticed the hem of your last dress, but honestly thought it was a purposeful effect from the bias cut. It is lovely! I wonder if you could do the size mixing like you showed in your earlier garment, where you laid the smaller sized neck piece on the bodice and blended them. I'm afraid if you made the whole bodice bigger, the neck might be too wide for you, and it might gape. I'm so excited to be the first viewer of this video!! 😁
Aaaahh thank you so much Tammy - he he he - first viewer!!! Love it ❤️ Yes, I need to think it through, and how I am going to sort it. Thank you again 🥰
I love your coord set and I’m just about to make the Safira trousers with a matching top before I go on holiday. I love this pattern. I hadnt decided on a top yet but have that top pattern so it’s certainly a contender. The Estelle dress looks fabulous. I can’t wait to make this and like the length you cut it too.
Omg I have been having exactly the same dilemma with my saltwater. I’ve done a B cup and I measure 30F. But not a big high bust difference. It fits but my bust dart Needs lowering (which I’ve never done).
Lovely set of makes chica!! I adore the Estelle dress, definitely wear it again with some red accessories later this year. The McCall's dress is super cute, I love it ❤. The Esti set is lush he he, cant wait for our collab 😁. Im definitely making another set too 😜. Xxx
I love watching your makes. One of the reasons is because you are the sewist RUclipsr that my body measurements/ body type match the best with. That last McCalls dress looks nineties and cute on you! I also have the same pattern as you for years. Now after watching how great it looks on you, I would like to make it too. Great tip about the omitting of the zipper. My hips are 1,5 inches larger than yours, could I still make a straight size 14 and get away with not putting in a zipper?
Thank you 🥰 That's really kind of you I think you would be fine with it in the size 14. You could always make it in a size 14 and just do a 1cm seam allowance from the hip area. Good luck, and hope you enjoy it 🥰
For your co-ord set why not wear it with a belt so it takes the pajama feel away? It looks so good on you! Angela, for the cami/saltwater slip to increase the bust without going to the D cup I would cut one size up along the sides from the shorten and lengthen line ( if there is one) if not, it would likely be where your side notch is. Sew it up in that size then take it in as needed to get the fit you want. It won't affect any of the styling at all. The hem of the black and white dress isn't noticeable until you pointed it out. Like you said, it looks like it's suppose to be like that. Can I ask how tall you are? McCall's patterns are drafted for 5'5"-5'6". It looks like you could do a petite adjustment that raises the skirt without shortening the skirt, does that make sense? It shortens the bodice so the skirt sits up where it's designed to without that slight gather of fabric you have around the lower rib cage. It could just be the way you were standing, but it's something to look at for the next one. Your makes are awesome as usual, you are way too hard on yourself when it comes to your makes! Sometimes we just have to choose our battles and say the only one that will notice is me, and move on to the next make!
Hia Cecile. Thank you so much 😊. Yes that makes a lot of sense re the slip dress, I will give that a go on my next one 😊 I am 5’6”. I might have a play around with it see if I can make it fit better in the next one. Thanks so much lovely 🥰 xx
I did but a long time ago, and I didn’t like it. I ended up giving it a away 😞 I have another one cut out in a different fabric and size to give a go, I will do it one day 🙈 x
I love the way the hem hangs on the black and white dress. It looks a bit sassy! Cute
He he - I love that - thank you 🥰
Fantastic makes Angela! The Estelle dress looks gorgeous on you and your co-ord set is amazing too! Looking forward to part 2. ❤
Thank you so much! 🥰🥰🥰
I like your green set, its very pretty. Perhaps a statement necklace and green shoes will take it out of the pyjama feeling. 😍 lovely
Great idea 😊. Thank you 🥰
All of your makes were lovely and looked great on you. Very nice choice of fabric and patterns.
