I love your pyjamas, but more than that, I love the way they obviously make you feel. After so long away from sewing I had forgotten the sheer pleasure of making and wearing something which brings me joy. No wonder we are all addicted to the sewing highs. (Forget the lows!)

Ive been sewing as its my love had to stop because of personal circumstance but this lockdown has given me the chance to show me what I love the most and to not stop and find the time, your sewing is and fabric choice is bang on and I loved the "sorrel dress" so much so that I bought it and am gonna do it next week !!

How lovely that you can share your hobby with your daughters, I have 4 boys and not 1 of them is in anyway interested in sewing which actually doesn’t worry me because my time in my sewing room is definitely time to be cherished 😎 I’m going to a lingerie workshop next weekend with my Mum and we are both thoroughly looking forward to it, like you have been very nervous about trying my hand at sewing delicate fabrics so hoping to learn a lot and gain some confidence. You guys have all made such beautiful things, very inspiring, have a lovely weekend ☺️

Such a nice thing you can have similar interests, such a great way to get closer to each other, you lucky mom!!! Totally get you on “the fail” feeling. I helped a friend sew a beach cover up on Sunday, she borrowed some of my stash fabric and I decided to use the remaining fabric on a butterick pattern I had traced some days before, I was tired of working on my plants all morning, I sewed my friend’s dress and I was just tired and didn’t listen to my body, I was so happy I used up every single bit of fabric that remained from my friend ‘s dress for my pattern... so happy! Until I started putting it together... I cut the main piece wrong 😑, I cut two right sides! Not a bit of fabric left to re-cut the piece!!! ☹️. Let’s listed to our bodies and just take a break... nothing good comes out of a tired body and mind ☹️. I just got the energy to start over until Wednesday evening... I just hope I got it right this time....😅. Thanks for sharing! Take care!

Oh, your poor daughter, not able to get back to university. My daughter has been stuck on campus on Wales since before the Christmas break because coming back to the USA and returning to college in Wales was just impossible this year. But now the only students on campus are the foreign students like my daughter. She has been knitting up a storm, though. I love everything you and your daughters have made!

Hi Angela! I love the rainbow dress! That pattern was one of the first things I tried making for myself and it was a nightmare. I should go back to it and try again now that I have a bit more experience. Your girls' makes are awesome! You must be so proud. And your pajamas! I am in love.

Wow Angela, lots to see from your girls and yourself. I think you manage to buy some great fabrics. I don’t think I shop enough, I think it’s because I prefer to shop in person for fabric, but then I don’t have the choices to buy the right thing in what I like. I like shopping at craft shows and take about £50 then I don’t want to spend £30 on one fabric. X

Well done to your girls, their makes are fab! My mum taught me but unfortunately my daughter and 2 sons aren't that bothered although they have made some things, I have however managed to hook my daughter on cross stitch! 😉😆
Your daughters sewing reminds me of my own upper grade years, I sewed all my clothes, did prom dresses, made prom dresses for my friends.....I had sew much fun when I was a kid! Made a matching peasant top and western shirt for my long time boyfriend even, he loved it. That was in the 70’s, but no matter, they’re back! really want to encourage the daughter that sews, sorry, didn’t recall her name. And Angela? I’m on non fitting bra # 8 or 9, no kidding. Bra designers don’t use shop sizes, nor do they use standard sizing. Not mention a misread on my own underbust.......in my case, my first one came out way tooo big! I will try that bralette, I have a whole load of bra patterns. Was thinking of them like clothes, and they aren’t. The fit is up to you, really, in that respect it’s the same, but bras, well, smaller area means more precision needed. try again, I’m not stopping until I get a successful fit! I do take breaks though......

Oh, your poor daughter, not able to get back to university. My daughter has been stuck on campus on Wales since before the Christmas break because coming back to the USA and returning to college in Wales was just impossible this year. But now the only students on campus are the foreign students like my daughter. She has been knitting up a storm, though. I love everything you and your daughters have made!
Katie has a few friends who have been stuck here too - it's so terrible. I'm so sorry your daughter has been in the same situation. I hope she has been ok ❤️

Hi Angela! I love the rainbow dress! That pattern was one of the first things I tried making for myself and it was a nightmare. I should go back to it and try again now that I have a bit more experience. Your girls' makes are awesome! You must be so proud. And your pajamas! I am in love.
Aaah yes - give it another go. I would say for an absolute beginner it is a fairly challenging pattern, but give it another go, I'm sure you'll smash it! 🥰

Their makes are gorgeous and the garments you made them as well. Your make are lovely too. I always fancy making a reliable make after a disappointing one. I often fear I’ll trace the pattern wrongly and I don’t trace many. 😆 I’m making a Toaster sweater st the moment before I start the frugal frocks challenge. Wow this really was a bumper edition Angela, filled with lots of beautiful makes. So glad that you enjoy making your vlogs as I love to watch them, you always make me smile. Your girls are so talented, a chip off the old block I think. I did smile when you were describing the fail garment 😂😂 I absolutely love the vintage apron, those ladies in the 50s really were so glamorous weren’t they, it’s so pretty. I love the Freya pattern, I’ve never made the dress, but it is lovely especially with the cowl neck. Who knew pyjamas could make you so happy, they are super cute though. Wow Angela, lots to see from your girls and yourself. I think you manage to buy some great fabrics. I don’t think I shop enough, I think it’s because I prefer to shop in person for fabric, but then I don’t have the choices to buy the right thing in what I like. I like shopping at craft shows and take about £50 then I don’t want to spend £30 on one fabric. X

Well done to your girls, their makes are fab! My mum taught me but unfortunately my daughter and 2 sons aren't that bothered although they have made some things, I have however managed to hook my daughter on cross stitch! 😉😆

Your daughters sewing reminds me of my own upper grade years, I sewed all my clothes, did prom dresses, made prom dresses for my friends.....I had sew much fun when I was a kid! Made a matching peasant top and western shirt for my long time boyfriend even, he loved it. That was in the 70’s, but no matter, they’re back! really want to encourage the daughter that sews, sorry, didn’t recall her name. And Angela? I’m on non fitting bra # 8 or 9, no kidding. Bra designers don’t use shop sizes, nor do they use standard sizing. Not mention a misread on my own underbust.......in my case, my first one came out way tooo big! I will try that bralette, I have a whole load of bra patterns. Was thinking of them like clothes, and they aren’t. The fit is up to you, really, in that respect it’s the same, but bras, well, smaller area means more precision needed. try again, I’m not stopping until I get a successful fit! I do take breaks though......
