Hi, Would have been nice to see how the brushed version performed with the new 3.0ah battery. The two new models looks pretty cool for small projects. People are forgetting that you're not going to demo a house with these particular tool. That's when a sawzall comes in. Hope dewalt makes larger ah batteries for their 12v line. Thanks for the video
Cool video had been wanting to see them side by side. I would go with the 20v for the runtime since it's pretty much the same tool. I really like the old brushed 12v saw. Wish they would have made it brushless.
20v Atomic. Pivoting shoe, shoe "rafter hook", belt clip, and larger variety of available batteries (1.3Ah all the way to 12Ah). Pretty much everything else (size, weight, power, speed) are almost identical.
I recently purchased the DeWalt Atomic compact recip (DCS369) and noticed a rattle/knocking noise that sounds like it's coming from inside motor housing when I shake the tool (not while in use, but when i simply hold tool in my hand w/no battery or blade attached). I contacted DeWalt and they said the noise should not be there so I bought another one to test and it too had the rattle but less of it, so I bought a THIRD and it also has the rattle but less of it than #1 or #2 saws. I've contacted DeWalt and they can't confirm anything for me so I wanted to ask you since you have the tool, does your DCS369 make an internal rattle noise when you shake it? I've been holding all external parts securely (trigger, trigger lock, anything that could wobble) as I shake mine and rattle/knocking noise definitely sounds to be inside motor housing. Thx!
@@Protoolreviews Thanks for reply! I had called a DeWalt Factory Service Center as well, they confirmed the rattle is normal...apparently it's designed with some play in the gears (or some part) and this leads to the rattle noise. Thanks again!
Ahhh...the Black and Decker buyout of Dewalt happened in 1960. 🤔 Maybe you're referring to Black and Decker merging with Stanley Tools which happened a decade ago?
I def think Dewalt should've created a smaller platform for the 12v system. However it costs a ton of chedah to do so. Miluakee seems to have the best 12v tools around imo
I have a dcs 369B,I was wondering if anyone else has smashed their fingers in the slide,I think it needs something over it,I done it a few times now, love the saw except when I use a second hand to apply pressure, and get a finger in the slide and the piece that you twist to install the blade, sacks a chunk outta my finger, only flaw I've found
@@mightymcgee9199 No you can not swap batteries between the 20 volt and 12 volt tool. The exceptions are some accessories including most chargers, USB power source, speakers etc.
Still wondering why that 12V line exist. They’re in the process of killing the 40V line and I was pretty sure the same would happen to the 12V line. That would mean that the 20V and the 60V/120V lines would be the only remaining ones.
I love the 20v impact driver DCF887 so much that I bought 2. But since I added the 12v Extreme impact driver, I use the 12v 80% of the time. So maybe there is a reason that the 12V exists?

If you could only purchase 1 saw, 12v or 20v?? I use both platforms, cant decide which one to go with.

I'm trying to decide the same thing. I'm already on both battery platforms but was leaning toward 20v for the bigger batteries.
I went with the 12v version. The deal at lowes was hard to pass up. Saw, drill, 2 batteries, charger and a backpack.. $149.00
@@anthonyhamel3497 I like the battery gauge on 20v..wish 12v had it on its batteries
@@1commonsense934 it does
Does 20v battery fits on that 12v saw?
no
Can you use the 20v battery on the 12v reciprocal saw ? I have all my tools 20v I don’t wanna buy 12v batteries lol
Will a reciprocating saw blade last less time than a circular saw since its not a circular movement that's even?
yes
@@TheAtherion Thank u
I love the pivot handle for small jobs!!!😁😁😁 they should make it brushless.
they are both brushless except the the saw that looks like a gun.

You definitely know a good quality blade. Lennox may be some of the best blades in the business. That's my preferred brand also!!
I prefer diablo but lennox are on top too
Diablo!! Are the best
I love both brands, diablo is good when you want a lasting blade and lenox is good at fast cuts imo
Does 20v battery fits on that 12v xtreme saw?
Nope, found out the hard way
Why not just remove the batteries to compare them side by side
How long does the battery last before I have to recharge agin?
Will the 20v battery work in place of the 12v
Can u swap battery btwn the two or no?

I’m sure many of us do this but I’m surprised on your platform you change blades with the battery connected.

12v exists to fill the compact tool line at Lowes and other retailers because the Atomic line is exclusive to Home Depot.

$169 before Biden.
Is this the same one on Amazon for $120?
Got one the other day at Home depot for $129 clown 🤡😂
