by spec, the Atomic is definitely a lower tier dewalt product line. the XR being there bigboy tier. the upside to these little guys is the 5/8 stroke. that's the selling point. the larger ones have 1-1/8"+ stroke. now that's not a problem if you cutting into big deep cavities, or just saw-horsed panels. but if your trying to control a shallow cut, and keep the blade from smashing into something else in the hole (like sprinkler lines, electrical boxes, drains, water lines, block/brick etc...) the short stroke it very helpful. nobody likes bending the shit outta a blade, or snapping the tip off. especially a brand new blade. and with blade prices nowadays, not shanking them is a plus. honestly if your doing serious work/demo involving a receip-saw, your probably better off going hard with a 60v or corded model. these little guys are great to have in the tool bag, "in case shit" as not much is less fun than grabbing a receipblade with pliers to cut one damn little thing. rigid had my favorite short stroke corded. thing was so tiny, but amazing for shallow work if you had ac available.

Just watched the video, and nothing really bad to say about the DeWalt saw in it, but the blurb describing the video is straight up bias. I just bought the DeWalt saw in this video and I could not be happier with it.
But id like to see how strong it is with the crappyest battery not a battery that cost as much as the hole.tool that no one but you a contractor has.
by spec, the Atomic is definitely a lower tier dewalt product line. the XR being there bigboy tier. the upside to these little guys is the 5/8 stroke. that's the selling point. the larger ones have 1-1/8"+ stroke. now that's not a problem if you cutting into big deep cavities, or just saw-horsed panels. but if your trying to control a shallow cut, and keep the blade from smashing into something else in the hole (like sprinkler lines, electrical boxes, drains, water lines, block/brick etc...) the short stroke it very helpful. nobody likes bending the shit outta a blade, or snapping the tip off. especially a brand new blade. and with blade prices nowadays, not shanking them is a plus. honestly if your doing serious work/demo involving a receip-saw, your probably better off going hard with a 60v or corded model. these little guys are great to have in the tool bag, "in case shit" as not much is less fun than grabbing a receipblade with pliers to cut one damn little thing. rigid had my favorite short stroke corded. thing was so tiny, but amazing for shallow work if you had ac available.
I bought one pre-covid for $99. I use it with wood pruning blades, one-handed-easily. Also good to dismantle scrap!. I wouldn't pay 149.00$
Spyderco knife... ? I'm subbed
You wanna see some knife content?
@@VCGConstruction are you flirting with me?
The 2ah is almost exactly same size other the battery other than the indicator
I’ve got the full size cordless 20v dewalt saw and work with a couple guys who use a Milwaukee 18v full size saw. We’re plumbers and I’m the only one who can cut pvc straight. Soooo in my opinion dewalt is king. 😁🤣😂
Vince let’s see it against the Metabo 18v compact recip saw it has 5/8 stroke as well
German Metabo
We dont get Atomic in UK, we have XR instead
I need a one handed XR
Great video Vince
Title is confusing, but I own dewalt and i like it but milwaukee is more compact and sounds meaner. But dewalt holds its own. I got the xr drill shipping to my house and I'm so pumped!!
I was on the nip of buying this! But I have a corded Fein and its actually better then the Dewalt.
Could you potentially do this vs the milwaukee sawzell. maybe cutting PVC pipe if you can.
i dont get it.. Video says nothing bad about this saw, yet the title of the video says DO NOT BUY in all caps..
Where can u buy this from I live in aus and can’t find it anywhere
Milwaukee fan and own tools all the way 🙌
The 12v Xtreme Recip is very similar to the Atomic, but with a fixed shoe.
Same power as other recip saws. P=V*A isn’t this what your TTR is for?
Hey very cool gang lol, I have not seen the atomic in Europe but u never know what 2020 will bring,
Were getting it soon, pre ordered the circ saw.
......5/8” is less than ¾ 😂
Gotta love Vince doing an unboxing👍🏻
The older dewalts seem like the break in half over time. But nothing some duck tape can't fix. Agree saw should be 2ah or higher. Maybe the new 21700 4ah be solid.
Between clip 701 and 7:45 no sooner had he completed his sermon on standing the tool on end on its battery, he does just that...and leaves it there.
Who cuts a 6x with a sawzall??
I like this guy.
got mine for 108 after tax at the homeless desk spot works great
Я ничего не понял. Что в итоге, стоит ли ее покупать?
