So nice to see general athletic training for kids. Too many “trainers” are pushing “sport specific” everything on kids and parents and most if not all kids would benefit from mostly overall athleticism development. You get the sport specific portion during the sport. Not to say you can’t work in similar movements but you see so many programs where (and I coach hockey so I see a lot of this) where every training movement has to mimic the in sport movement.
@@BenBreeg1138 like ice treadmills 🙄 appreciate ya sharing and lmk if ya need anything 👊
The creativity with the dodgeballs! I've found a lot of success using a whole system of drills with tennis balls for my youth athletes and made a 6 min video about it

Athletic Preparation alot of young children have weak core and balance issues!
This video gives a fun and functional way to strengthen them in those categories
Other than the actual weights. Can 9-10 year olds do these movements?
Yea , sure can be scaled and simplified for any age, like lower obstacles to step over the cones as an example
Hey, I’m interested in becoming a youth trainer for kids in Louisville ky to make sure they stay off the streets during this pandemic... could you spare some advice to getting started
Good cause to do so 👍 what do you mean get started? Your own business?
@@AthleticPreparation I mean that I know kids that need training, have a few people at my job that knows a youth football coach that can get me connected with the parents of the kids to. And yes my own business to work on from the ground up
@@AthleticPreparation ?
It helps if you know people - I’d volunteer then / coach the team and then start getting the kids to train with you offseason at a place with minimal / no rent and get them to bring friends ...
Essentially how I started 🤷♂️ - just keeping it 💯
Try to get with local fitness facilities to give you a place to train. Start with small groups 3 or 4 kids until you get the hang of it. Study and get certified that helps open doors too and it helps you be a better trainer. I'm doing the same thing out in Spencer Co. Good luck brother!
Please sprinter daily ROUTINE chart tell me
huh? please clarify my friend
How many times a week do I need to train?
