20 million Americans suffer from depression. Ages 45-65 is most common group to suffer from MAJOR depression. We don't know this guy personally, only on the surface. We need to get over this stigma that seemingly happy people with successful careers and loving families CAN'T be depressed.

Reading alot about former football players having dementia due to hard head impacts concussions from playing football. Many of these young men committing suicide due to their head injuries loss of memory etc.
We really miss him in Birmingham, Alabama too. It was so nice to hear and see how Mr.Sign was honored and recognized for all the goodness he was in so many areas, as talked about here. So proud of our local ABC 33/40 coverage of this, as well. I know it was so difficult for everyone close to him and who worked with him thru the years to do this story, but the kind, respectful and such loving coverage is so appreciated. Unfortunately i have to disagree. A friend of mine took his own life and we had a celebration of life for him. There were so many of us his friends that they had to close the restaurant for the rest of the night. We over capacitated that place...well over 300 of us..if he could have seen how many people really loved him maybe he would still be here. Happiest and friendliest guy u could have ever met! Always had a smile and a story! Rip Steve! We miss u!!

I worked in sports media in Phoenix from 2013-2021. Chris was an absolute beacon of what journalism should be, a complete class act, and a family man of the highest. He truly was an amazing person. The world lost one of the good ones.

We really miss him in Birmingham, Alabama too. It was so nice to hear and see how Mr.Sign was honored and recognized for all the goodness he was in so many areas, as talked about here. So proud of our local ABC 33/40 coverage of this, as well. I know it was so difficult for everyone close to him and who worked with him thru the years to do this story, but the kind, respectful and such loving coverage is so appreciated.

There were so many of us his friends that they had to close the restaurant for the rest of the night.
