I cannot imagine how Justin farmer feels right now. First he lost his father in April and now his good friend Jovita. Both of them were the best pair of news anchors I’ve ever seen. Which is why it is very touching to see and hear Justin farmer report on Jovita Moore‘s passing. Jovita was a spark that lit the city of Atlanta and she will forever be missed.
It would be very difficult to deliver this straight-faced. Dude’s a pro. I couldn’t do it.

Her voice was so soft and calming. Her personality and cheerfulness was a breath of fresh air every day. I always would think to myself how does someone see only the good in everyday like Jovita does. Fly high you sweet angel and I will miss you dearly!!!!😢😢😢

She was so young. I lived in Atlanta from 2011-2015 and I can still hear her voice in the nightly news. Wow. I’m so saddened to hear this. My thoughts are with her family.

The “cancer” was caused by the vaccine. Go look at her Facebook page. She was perfectly healthy up until… She took both doses of the vaccine and then fell ill 10 days later. She never recovered. These are facts. I pray this woman’s family gets the justice they deserve.

My adult daughter died of an aggressive form of cancer last year. I understand what she went through and her family too. How very sad such a beautiful, vibrant woman who worked hard at her career should be taken so soon, and leave behind her young family. Heartbreaking. This is sad news for our Atlanta community. God bless her family. I am glad that Mr. Farmer recited Scripture here. We weep with those who weep. We read in the Psalms that "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted." Indeed He is.
So sad to hear of Jovita's passing. She was an outstanding anchor to witness in news regularly as a long-term resident of Atlanta, GA. We are extremely blessed to have experienced her for so many years in news here. My condolences to all of her family and loved ones. Please celebrate her.
My heart stopped when I came across the headline, this is absolutely devastating. Waking up and snooping around to see what my parents were looking at on TV to find that it was Channel 2 action news on with her beauty and calm lovely voice has always been a huge part of my daily life since my childhood. I've been reduced to tears all morning, I hoped that she would pull through and reappear in a surprise on our screens before the year finishes. Wish I had the chance to meet her, may she rest well in peace & paradise and my deepest condolences go out to her family, friends, and colleagues.

As an RN, taking care of patients with glioblastomas was the most heartbreaking challenge of my career. One because they were all so young and two because the prognosis is so poor. RIP beautiful lady. No more suffering

I will never ever understand why so many GOOD, innocent, kind, thoughtful human beings have to die at such young ages. That will be one of the first questions I will ask God when it's my turn to go. Godspeed Jovita. God needed his angel back. I rejoice that she isn’t in pain, but heartbroken for her family. No parent should ever have to bury their children and my heart breaks for her mother as well as her children. I’m still not over from the death of Amanda Davis, so this loss is another blow.

She is “sleep” in death as the Bible describes the state of dead ones (John 11:11,13,14). She is not conscious of anything and most importantly she is not in any sort of pain. She now has the hope of the resurrection (Acts 24:15; John 5:28, 29). I pray for strength for her family through this devastating time.

I think of Jovita everyday! She was my mentor in HS; literally taking me under her wings. She allowed me to spend time with her at the news station & dropped me off back at home in the hood, she allowed me to tag along during during her reporting days out in the city of Memphis , she attended my HS graduation…. I could go on & on. I wanted to be like her……. I admired and loved her dearly.
As I continue to grieve, years later; I remind myself of the many wonderful memories.

I've lived in Atlanta for the last 32 years. She was without a doubt the best anchor in Atlanta. I always said that if I could pick my next-door neighbor, it would be Jovita. So talented, so nice, and such an asset to Atlanta. We're going to miss her terribly. A very sad day.
