Babies ears are INCREDIBLY fragile for quite some time to loud noise. It takes less decibels than you'd think to cause quite bad damage. They've probably already done damage to his hearing.
@@UsandEveryoneWeKnow Yes you are definitely right. Not to mention the trauma that goes along with hearing screaming and what sounds like arguing. My mom was with my father until I was 2 1/2 yrs old. He beat her and screamed at her daily and those 2 1/2 yrs left me with severe nervous habits and had me severely stressed and nervous for my entire childhood. But my biological father has custody of me every other weekend and he remarried and continued to beat and scream at her in front of me. I have life long issues because of it. My mother started having me see a psychiatrist when I was 3! Because even at 3 I was biting my nails till they bled and I was always over emotional for a toddler age child. Not to mention how I had no trust for anyone other than my Mom until I was around 7. I know they were just playing around with each other but the screaming negatively impacts children especially babies, because they don't even know what is being said they just know that it sounds scary.

I squashed the work wife thing day one. My husband NEVER said it, it was an older lady who called herself that at our first faculty meeting (they worked in a different department than I did) after we'd gotten married. I said, "No, he only has one wife. And lucky for us, I work here too, so there should never be any confusion."

@@ember13dp Context matters though. My best friend is my husband's work wife. We all work together, but we made the joke together too. I work in a different department than they do and they're a dynamic duo in the kitchen. We think it's funny, including myself. It's one of those things that's only funny if EVERYONE involved is ok with it. And personally, I made the joke first and we also often call her "our platonic wife" or "our baby mama" because we're the god parents of her kids and we do more for her and them than her man does. She's also shown me she's a ride or die and always been there when I needed her. So it's all mutual.
Nobody should ever just declare themselves someone else's "work wife" joking or not. That's where the disrespect is. It's in the intention and the context.
We had a German woman at work that called herself means work wife, and she'd be like "how's my man? Tell him I miss him" and I'd reply and haha about it. But one day I just stared at her quiet, and then told her she was being inappropriate and I'd appreciated if she'd stop. She was making him uncomfortable at this point, and neither of us wanted awkwardness at work, but at this point SHE was being the awkward one, and escalating.
My dad had a "work wife," but it was literally an inside joke. Instead of if being the result of them being flirty or something gross, it came from the lady in question, happening to have the exact same last name as my dad AND the same first name as my mum. I think people genuinely mistook them for being a married couple and eventually, they just started making a joke out of it.

My dad and his sister-in-law were both in the same class for something, I don't know if it was for college or what, but everyone assumed they were married because they had the same last name. Right away they were like NO NO NO NO NO NO NO. 🤣

A co-worker tried to call me his "work wife"...he's married....I'm single. I nipped that in the bud. I said "I've never liked that. I feel like it's disrespectful to the actual spouses". He apologized. It won't happen again

Hubby didn't do the "work wife" thing, but he had a female friend at his last job that every single time he mentioned her, he'd say, "Nothing is going on." I did finally have to sit him down and explain that while I didn't think anything was going on his constant unprompted denial was really starting to get to me. For the record, there really was nothing going on. He's just dumb lol. He tries, though, and I love him.

@satansbarman 110% we're both neurodivergent and not great with deception to begin with. My brain is specifically wired for pattern recognition and we've been married 22 years, best friends for 24. He can't get anything by me at this point lol
@@satansbarman same thing happened to me. My ex worked with my childhood best friend and constantly said "but nothing's going on between us! Haha!" and I was like "...ok? I didn't think there was?". Turns out he was cheating with her and then left me for her. If I ever hear that line again, I'm out lol.

I absolutely LOATH the "work wife" label. It's just gross and feels so icky! I was referred to as someone's work wife awhile back and every cell in my body just seized up and immediately rejected that label so hard like no, no that's not how this works and I do not accept that label and eww all around. The idea of a "work wife" needs to go!
My cousins office had this running joke, everyone had a work wife and husband... And three of them had an affair and I know some of them thought about it for sure.

My MIL was overly-protective of my husband when we got engaged. Granted, we'd only been dating a few months, so her concern was somewhat justified, and to his credit, my husband didn't just CUT HER OFF, he talked it out with her and just gave her time to get used to this new phase of his life. She's all good with us now. Almost 7 years, still going strong. ❤
Yeah, that was exactly me when my son got engaged two years ago. I wasn't used to not having him around and seeing him every day. He and his wife moved to the state north of us, so we know where they are. I had to get used to another woman in his life and it wasn't easy for me. #Number1goestoNumber2

My first marriage was in August 1991, and we were divorced in November 1992.
I loved my MIL the first time we met, and 32 years later we are still close friends. I haven't seen her son since 1993 and neither has she. In fact, we both moved out of state to hide from that psycho! She was even a witness for the prosecution and testified against him at his sentencing hearings in 1993 and 1997. There is no one that I trust more than her. 💕

Unfortunately she didn’t lose but she also didn’t get all the money he had to pay her half of his half hope that makes sense. So he ended up with like $300,000 of the money and she got the other 300,000 that was his house. So she ended up with about $900,000. I believe. I think that’s crappy but at least she didn’t end up with all of it. Because I’m sure that’s what she was going for in court to get it all.

Sadly, the greedy lottery lady kept getting nephew's assets frozen and fought all the way up until he finally gave up and she took about half of his portion of the winnings too (the court never ordered any of her assets frozen so she was free to live it up while the kid had to look at money he couldn't touch). The greedy old bat is dead now, but I doubt she left any of her stolen money to him.

The thing about that winning ticket is that the nephew's phone number was the number they called. From the sounds of it, if he would have answered the phone, he would have been given one check for the whole amount. It's possible he would have been nice and split it but wouldn't be obligated to at that point, so really, Aunty should be happy she got as much as she did. She could have ended up with nothing. I'm inclined to believe the nephew's side. Who puts someone else's name AND number on their lotto ticket for "good luck"? That makes no sense. Even if that's true, it CLEARLY worked, so she owes him half anyway. It was HIS luck that made her win, lol he didn't have to let her use it.
People like the aunt usually end up dying broke *AND* alone. She's destroying a relationship for greed - and it's sad.

It feels like a misunderstanding on her end OR she forgot the agreement she made. How can she be so against her own nephew gaining that much money??? He will be set, if he manages it correctly. She should be helping set his life up right. Instead, there's going to be a big rift in their family and it looked like they were very close. Sad.
Hopefully, she gets told right away that you can't make a stipulation on a lotto/giveaway ticket. If you add 2 names, it gets split. If she only wanted to give him money if she won under a certain amount, it needed to be in her name only, then she could give him whatever amount she wanted. She's going to get laughed out of every lawyer's office she visits.

I have once had a "work husband", but my actual husband worked with me at the time and made the joke, because it was an older gentleman who was always helping both of us out at work. I was only comfortable with the term because my husband made the joke and we all three laughed about it. I think this is the only reason it would be acceptable, not when the other partner doesn't know the other person (and it obviously makes her uncomfortable)

The aunt with the lottery ticket is SOL. She openly admitted to putting his name on the ticket. That means they evenly split any prizes. That's all there is to it.
No, that's not "all there is to it". She filed suit, and there was a settlement giving her $850,000 and her nephew $350,000.

Right. Like my mother in law has never liked me, but she's also never gotten to know me. She even tried spreading rumors about me when I was in high school. So yeah, she was cut off and we've gone no contact (we've been together for over 15 years, you'd think she'd let it go).

True. Being a professional musician myself, I have had my share of people sort of "shoving" their talents on me, believing they are SO GREAT, and they are actually really, really awful. But, they "insist" I hear them, and get me to accompany their great "singing", so that they can PERFORM for the world. (I'm a professional pianist/accompanist)
The people with the MOST talent are usually the ones who who believe they have the least amount of talent, and the reverse is also true.

And he cheated on my mom with her and then ended up marrying her and got mad that i refused to be nice to her because i was an adult already and i hadnt liked the woman since i met her when i was like 15.
My friend and I did something similar to the last clip back in the day when there was no social media. She'd suddenly mention family members who are soldiers or the police who are apparently waiting for her at home, and how some senator is somehow a family friend. The mom and the kid had me crying tears, and laughing. The main reason? My daughter and I have that sense of humor. We will not go as far, or maybe we will, but there is no video evidence.
