    I caught my cheating ex when he simply forgot I was by his side and his side girl came to the same party, he said "Hey babe" and kissed her. He then realised, upon seeing her face, that I was just behind him and everyone of his friends just became silent. I left the party, went to cry in his best friend's car (who had just arrived) and said best friend took me on a drive to cry my eyes out and got us ice cream while I just insulted my ex and we talked.
    Long story short, we bonded a lot that night, he showed me his phone texts when I accused him of knowing he was cheating but he didn't knew either, we became a couple 2 weeks later.
    Last Thursday was our 9th anniversary and he proposed 3 months ago. My ex is in a relationship with a super controlling girl and can't text or talk to anyone without her monitoring, karma took his butt 😂

Especially if the supposed “best friend” of the wife to is supposed be more mad at the husband in that moment rather then the other woman. The only explanation I think for this “ friend”was that she herself mostly likely slept with him too.

      That's you though. That's the issue with this whole thing of "tell the other person" is that y'all don't think about anyone but yourselves and how your feeling, or what you would want. Not everyone would want that, also not to mention you don't know the mental health issues anyone may be dealing with. What if she were to kill him, or he kill her, or she self deletes or he does, y'all be playing games with people lives. Should she know, sure, but that's not for anyone to decide but her and him. That's their marriage and/or relationship. I wouldn't want the other woman drunkly accosting me in a bathroom to tell me about my husband, and the drama that creates in front of everyone. Embarrassing. Y'all have got to stop applying your standards and rules to other people's lives.

      I think its because they think that their spouse would never cheat on them except with that 1 person. If that 1 person didn't exist he would of never cheated. That the other person relentlessly pressured their partner to the point where anyone would have gave in. I truely think that's what these people who get cheated on and blame the other person rather than their partner thinks. Truth be told if it wasn't that other person it'd be another other person.

      The gaslighting some people do when people are pregnant; like no it's not the hormones making me crazy, all your lying and manipulation and hiding stuff and gaslighting is making me feel crazy. Unfortunately for me it was my best friend, she knew we were together, i introduced them, he told me he was getting to know her better so they could both support me. While i was 8-9 months he was sending her love harts (the sweets) in the post and then after i gave birth, catching the train to meet her while lying to me saying he was at college and thats why he couldnt call, i found out because college emailed him asking why he was always absent on a specific day and if he kept it up the course would drop him for non attendance. Oh and her twitter was like a diary that was public and lined up with the days he was absent from college but claimed to be at college. All while i cared for our child alone. I've a somewhat similar story: one of my classmates in college was preyed upon by a guy in his late 20s-early 30s (she was *almost* 18) and he was also a prolific cheater as well as a predator. She found out he was cheating when she had to go to the doctor for lower abdominal pains. Turns out, he gave her a small handful of STDs and if it was just one, maybe two, of the ones he gave her, she likely would've been fine. Since she had all of them at once (I think it was 4? he gave her) her womb became scarred and now she has like a 1% chance of conceiving & it would be very high risk of her loosing it at any moment. Last I heard from her, she was doing great though. She's in her late 20s now, married and the predator guy has multiple failed relationships, one divorce that took a lot of his money, lost his work reputation/respect, and got in trouble with the law for unrelated crimes.
      So yeah, that karma thing: don't shrug it off lol

    Fun fact about when adultery was still a crime: where I live, it was common practice for bailiffs to not get paid much and as a form of compensation, they were legally allowed to raid brothels randomly, round up all married men and give them a choice between paying the bailiff a hefty sum or getting banished for 30 years (the official punishment for adultery at the time). I, as a woman who spent ten years in a mentally/emotionally abusive relationship with a man that was constantly after other women and gaslit me into thinking I was possessive, jealous, and insecure, would 100% want to be told. After a lot of work and self-care I am finally getting to a place that is good, in my forties. The reason I finally was strong enough to end that relationship was that I found proof of his cheating. Please, if you ever find out you are the "other woman (or man, or whathaveyou)" , don't think you are ruining a relationship, know that you are freeing a person. You are freeing them from the lie. What they choose to do with that information is not on you, nor is their pain.

Yeah, tell me. Tell me. In a club, in a house, on a train, on a plane, send a DN, Dr Seuss can write a book. Drop the receipts. Like Charlotte said, the cheater is the one "ruining a marriage". I have no doubt someone knew about a 7-year emotional-later-physical affair. His bestie was in my wedding party and my Facebook friend, and we had our own friendship. Nothing. Story time:
    My first serious relationship was absolute puppy love. There were a lot of toxic moments and fighting between an insane amount of love bombing. I thought i would do anything for that man.
    A few months into the relationship i started having these wild dreams! I was watching him meet women, hooking up or having the giggity, and it all being when he was out of town or away. I told him how awful these dreams were making me feel, and his response was to get defensive and angry. He would tell me i was crazy and overreacting. I listened to him because in the end, it was just random dreams so how can i really be upset.
    Months rolled by and one night i get a text message from him that literally said "i have something to tell you. Ive been unfaithful."
    Nothing else, just ending right there. I tried to call him, i was breaking down but he wouldnt answer me. I text him and told him to come over or we were over.
    His mum came with him. She told me i had to get over it if i wanted to be with him. I felt pressured and broken, so i gave in. As it turns out, he had slept with his best friends girlfriend when he was out of town months prior.. and he only spoke up because he BF threatened to tell me.
    Fast forward a year, we are trying to make it work but things havent seemed any better.
    We are sitting together and his phone buzzes with a text. He turns his phone away from me in a panic and quickly ducks out of the room.
    I couldnt hold back the sinking feeling i had so i brought it up. He said "i didnt want you to freak out over a picture." A picture? I questioned him. He realised he had accidentally dobbed himself in.
    He proceeded to explain that a friend sent him a picture and that was all it was.
    That night when he was in the shower, i sucked it up and i checked his phone. He had a folder saved in his gallery FULL and i mean FULL of women he was friends with or i knew, all naked and some extremely R rated. Then i saw the texts between all the different girls he was chatting up.
    Unfortunately that wasnt the end of our relationship because i was broken and desperate to hold onto our connection, he was my best friend.
    When things did fall apart, however, i was at a party a year or so later, and one of his friends confided in me that he had been cheating on me everytime he was out of town and regularly at parties. I have PTSD from that experience, i still have flashbacks and extreme hyper vigilance. I learned to trust my 'gut instincts' and have more faith in myself. Ive learned and grown a lot.
    Sadly, he passed away a few years back now.. and no matter the pain of it all, he was still one of my best friends and ill always appreciate having had the time and experience with him.

      I also had the aids experience. My then husband was working over seas in Africa. There a month home a month. So, one month he comes home and he's kinda acting weird. I think to myself - is he cheating? - but no, he wouldn't do that to me. The next time he comes home he's acting even weirder, so I ask him what's up, why the weird vibes? He says well he had had something happen at work. A guy got hurt and he came in contact with his blood, so he's been worried he might have contracted aids. So I'm like Geezes, get tested then!!! While all this is going on I'm have medical issues and I find out I have cervical cancer, so I call him when he's at work. So he breaks down - he tells me he had an affair and he thought that's what caused it (the dr said it might have been caused from multiple sex partners where you get that human papiloma virus). So he's falling apart and crying and I'm thinking I have cancer and he's not even focused on that at all, he's upset that he told me he was having an affair. So he comes home, gets tested and is negative. Meanwhile I'm scheduling hospital appointments and go in for my hysterectomy. I come home and he goes on vacation with the girls (we have 2), leaving me home alone to recuperate. We stayed married another 11 years when once again, he is caught cheating and we get a divorce. it is so frustrating to me that a lot of women’s stories of when the cheating occurred are during a time of great emotional need from the woman. it all goes back to how differently we are socialized to sex and intimacy, bc those husbands are looking for the physical intimacy their wives aren’t in the emotional state to provide while those wives are seeking the emotional comfort those husbands likely were never taught how to give. its like, you couldn’t just do this simple act of betrayal it had to be a step further because in a volatile time in the wives’ life, you selfishly put your own needs above hers 🤦🏻‍♀️🤬

    I think if you dont know someone is married, once you find out, it is right thing to do to contact the wife (the wife is the person getting screwed over and a lot of the time when it comes to cheaters people in your life know and keep it quiet to protect you which feels wrong.) The sooner you know the less pain and possibly illnesses you are subjected to. The friends in the first story were probably fatigued listening to endless theories about her husband cheating or not. In other words they just didn’t have the energy while at work themselves to pay her pictures much attention. They probably were very supportive before she took him back the first time. Friendship fatigue is real especially when friends have non stop problems!

    • @jeanams07
      @jeanams07 8 месяцев назад +3

      Oh this is such a good point! I instantly was like I hope she got rid of those friends too, and didn't even think of it from their perspective. But it still is not the best thing to tell her she is over reacting when there was clear evidence she wasn't, but maybe that isn't really what they said. We are hearing her side of things, and they could have just said ok whatever, or kind of ignored her because they were tired of hearing about it when she took him back the last time. They probably just figured that there was no use in agreeing with her or trying to support her through it, if she is just going to stay with him any way. I got rid of all my friends that were like that. If they are constantly going to complain and freak out about something or someone that is terrible in their life, but do absolutely nothing to change the situation when they easily can, than I am not going to stick around to be their punching bag. She also mentioned she was supposed to be working, but was in the break room spending hours doing her investigating. So if she did that all the time and her friends were tired of constantly having to pick up her slack at work because of it, I wouldn't blame them for just trying to say whatever they thought would get her to actually go back to doing her job.

    • @lizsmith1018
      @lizsmith1018 8 месяцев назад +6

      In a world/time where social media is a huge thing, not having one seems like the person has something to hide. But I agree; as someone who’s been considering deleting some of mine, the only thing that makes me stop is the people that’ll be concerned with the kind of person I am. It’s dumb, but whatever. Also it’s kind of like “everyone has social media for something” like staying in touch with certain people, or just to watch content but not post anything themselves - so to have NONE at all is considered weird

    • @Mitters
      @Mitters 8 месяцев назад +6

      There are jobs in the world where social media isn't allowed, and others where it needs to be heavily hidden. My partner doesn't have socials because he'd rather be outside exercising and doesn't care to know what people are up to. I love that about him tbh. I don't think no socials are a red flag but for people that are obsessed with it I can see how it would be. 🤷‍♀️

      Neither me nor my husband have socials beyond the need to view content but never post. I think it’s our age. Gen Xers. For the young I do see how one would assume EVERYONE has socials, so it may seem ‘weird’ if they didn’t. Like they’re trying to hide something.

    as someone who got cheated on and was gaslit and lied to, that trauma was so severe it ruined my two relationships that came after it, because I simply couldn't trust anybody as soon as they showed even the slightest hint that they were lying about something. didn't matter how small it was, it made me so paranoid that I couldn't trust anybody if I caught them in a lie. (and obviously I shouldn't have been in a relationship when i was still dealing with this trauma, but wisdom in hindsight eh?). luckily I have a good man now, been with him for over a decade and I've healed.

      #1 if he is ALL of these fabulous things your stating...why is he an 'ex'?
      #2 ...and this one ...idk ok sooo #2 you said "The only thing IMMORAL he has ever done is drink a beer on occasion" has me a teeny tiny gobsmacked. What/HOW is drinking an occasional beer IMMORAL????????????? Even back in my younger days when I was once a bible-thumper did I ever consider that immoral. Now if he became abusive in any way as an aftermath then that makes sense but not drinking a beer isn't on the Ten Commandments and nowhere in the bible am I aware of drinking beer is IMMORAL. PLEASE DONT TAKE OFFENSE TO MY WORDS... I am aware that MORRAL and IMMORAL are entirely self subjective so that {in VERY long form lol} brings me to the question of *How/Why* do you find such a thing *immoral*? Im not attacking how you feel I promise. I myself have been on the receiving end of a great deal of abuse ie physically and emotionally from age 11 and on. I was molested by my dad from 11-13 them emotionally by my mom weighing me on the scale to determine whether or not I needed lunch money...had to take care of my siblings while my mom was in the Bahamas or wherever. Ive been raped by 4 men and left for dead. Ive suffered domestic violence ETC! EACH OF THOSE POINTS 'to me' is IMMORAL *sigh* so please out of my own ignorance share w me what is immoral to you about a beer? [I promise this question comes from an honest place of curiosity]
