    Several factors can damage or compromise mitochondrial function:
    1. **Oxidative Stress:** Excessive production of reactive oxygen species (ROS) can damage mitochondrial DNA, proteins, and lipids, leading to impaired function.
    2. **Poor Diet:** Diets high in processed foods, sugar, and unhealthy fats can contribute to mitochondrial dysfunction by promoting inflammation and oxidative stress.
    3. **Lack of Exercise:** Sedentary lifestyles can decrease mitochondrial biogenesis and impair mitochondrial function.
    4. **Toxins:** Exposure to environmental toxins such as pollutants, heavy metals, and certain chemicals can damage mitochondria and disrupt cellular processes.
    5. **Chronic Stress:** Prolonged stress can lead to dysregulation of the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal (HPA) axis, resulting in increased cortisol levels, which can negatively impact mitochondrial function.
    6. **Sleep Deprivation:** Inadequate sleep can impair mitochondrial function and reduce energy production.
    7. **Aging:** Mitochondrial function naturally declines with age, leading to decreased energy production and increased susceptibility to damage.
    8. **Genetic Mutations:** Inherited mutations in mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA) or nuclear DNA can lead to mitochondrial diseases or impairments in function.
    By minimizing exposure to these factors and adopting a healthy lifestyle, you can help protect and support mitochondrial health. 🤗❤️🌹🌹🌹🤗

    I recently saw you on RUclips. And the information you shared caught my immediate attention. So I checked out your book Glucose Goddess from my local library. I just started the Glucose method and found the recipes easy peasy, and very tasty. I'm 69 years old. I used to be a skinny minnie from all the years of workouts, but it seems the weight creeped up. It's only been 3 days and I don't get the crash after 2 pm. You guessed it. I'm sticking to this, and I purchased the book off Amazon. Can't wait to see how much better I will feel as I continue the plan. Thank you, Jessie.

    I fixed my chronic fatigue once, it took me 4 years to realize it was due to reverting back to normal circadian rhythm after spending 10 years sleeping and waking at any time, chronic fatigue could be anything literally anything, from diet to nicotine use/withdrawal to stress and auto-immune responses (in many cases) and any other tiny detail you won't pay attention to even if you don't consume sugar at all (my case)

    • @CuriousHumbleMarie
      @CuriousHumbleMarie 12 дней назад +5

      Will you please explain how you successfully fixed your circadian rhythm? I tried reverting back to a normal/regular sleeping schedule but have a hard time getting to sleep earlier. Plus it seems I only have energy at night so I work later and get wound up then can't sleep until 3 am.

      Wait so a normal cirvadian rythm gave you chronic fatigue? Woah and a disorganized sleeping habit did not? I am in a same situation I sleep late wake up late, I tried fixing it two months ago and I was sleeping warly waking up early and I was feeling so fatigued I couldn't do anything I was so tired idk was it that I tried fixing habit too quickly or that I disturbed my circadian rythm...

    • @sapofen
      @sapofen 12 дней назад +1

      @@CuriousHumbleMarie Same here, used to work at night, energy and no interruptions like 6 hours of calm straight work, anyway, I fixed it by being exposed to sunlight in the morning (right after you wake up) and to darkness after sunset (dim the light, reduce exposure to screens etc...), shifting the wake up time by increment, if you wake up at noon set the alarm at 11:50 the next day and so on, avoid stimulants in afternoon, replace tea/coffee with herbs or anything that helps sleep I used camomile tea it helped a lot, in my case I cut nicotine before sunset, and I walk for 2 hours before sunset everyday, anytime I feel extremely tired I take a nap/rest in the afternoon, just lay down and close eyes even without sleep.
      it may take time but it worked for me.

    • @cafeconleche0343
      @cafeconleche0343 3 дня назад

      @@s.hjawed9247If this helps you, in my case I have realized that during the day I have less energy since due to environmental factors this is a very stressful time for me, therefore I ended up getting used to living at night which allowed me to have a feeling of greater energy. Obviously it's not right, but that's one of the reasons in my case.

      Unfortunately, she isn't telling you the whole story.
      And, on top of that, she is trying sell supplements to you that won't want if you knew the whole story.
      What she isn't telling you is that the "train" can actually make and supply it's own coal in the exact right amount at the exact right time as long as you stop laoding coal onto the train from the outside.
      In other words, your body can make its own glucose, and it is really, really good at it. As long as you don't add glucose from the outside, your body will perfectly balance its glucose.
      This processes is called gluconeogenesis - making glucose from protein.
      So, the whole story is that you don't need to eat any carbs ever. As long as you are eating protein, your body will make all the carbs it needs and will never overload your "train".
      But if she told you this, you would realize the that instead of spending your money on her supplements, you could simply eat less carbs and you would fix all your glucose issue.
      Basically, it's like selling pills to someone who drinks too much alcohol In order to slightly reduce the damage they are doing to themselves, instead of just telling the people to stop drinking alcohol.
      What she is doing is closer to enabling long-term addiction than it is to health care In my opinion.

    Studies have shown that cordyceps extracts or compounds can have positive effects on mitochondrial function:
    -They can increase the activity and expression of enzymes involved in mitochondrial energy production, such as those in the electron transport chain and Krebs cycle.
    -They can enhance mitochondrial biogenesis, leading to an increase in the number of mitochondria within cells.
    -They can improve mitochondrial membrane potential, which is crucial for ATP synthesis.
    -They can reduce oxidative stress and inflammation, which can otherwise impair mitochondrial function.
    The mechanisms by which cordyceps exerts these effects on mitochondria are not fully understood, but may involve activation of signaling pathways that regulate mitochondrial biogenesis and function, such as the AMPK and PGC-1α pathways.

    Scientifically, ensuring a balanced diet with sufficient nutrients, staying hydrated, getting regular exercise, managing stress, and maintaining good sleep hygiene are key to sustaining energy levels. Additionally, incorporating foods rich in complex carbohydrates, healthy fats, and proteins can provide sustained energy throughout the day. Avoiding excessive caffeine and sugar can also help prevent energy crashes. 🤗👍🙏

    I think I've struggled with mitochondrial issues as I've always struggled with fatigue and found exercise really hard (even when I actually got myself really fit years ago... my muscles would always burn and protest 🙄 ). I'm a heck of a lot better since I discovered Glucose Revolution 5.5 weeks ago, but had a bad chocolate day today due to a crappy headache and stress (and WOW I'm suffering for it, despite eating it alongside hacks 🙈 will not be doing it again!!)

    Hi, Jessie I've been struggling with insane sleepiness and brain fog, and I've figured it out - my body is either over-producing insulin, or it's just too darned good at storing away sugar, leading to a sugar deficit (hypoglycemia). I tried vinegar, but that wasn't a good idea. Things that delay sugar entering the blood stream just delay the inevitable problems. The only way to avoid the problem entirely is to entirely avoid sugar sources, even in the form of starches. This is proving quite problematic and I actually was given a final written warning last November at Amazon KCVG when I fell asleep repeatedly while on light duty (due to a work injury not caused by sleepiness, which only affects me with yawns when I'm physically active). The ONLY thing that stops the sleepiness and abates the brain fog is to take a nap and, if I don't, it can be quite a long time before my glycemic state returns to normal.
    This is both dangerous (imagine driving and acting similarly to one with narcolepsy) and frustrating (trying to produce a YT video but being unable to work, think clearly or stay on task).
    I would love to hear your thoughts on what I can do!

      @@Pablito5614 I have sleep apnea - it's not the issue at all. I take vit D, and this predates going pescetarian, so it's not about iodine. Do you have any other ideas? Thanks!

    • @Pablito5614
      @Pablito5614 11 дней назад +1

      @ThePCExpertAmateur check your vitamin D levels make sure your levels aren't above what they should be since you take the supplements. Too much will cause horrible symptoms. Also if you have sleep apnea make sure your get that treated either with cpap or surgery, lack of sleep ruins energy. Also with iodone you'll never know exactly where you're at until you get you levels checked. You can use Quest or Labcore to order your own vitamin/mineral panel without a doctor. Get one that checks your A, D, B12, Iodine, Thyroid, Magnesium.

    • @ThePCExpertAmateur
      @ThePCExpertAmateur 11 дней назад

      @@Pablito5614 Thanks for the tips, Pablito. Again, it's not my sleep apnea - I know what that does to me, and this is very different. I totally get why you think that, but it's nutrition-related. It doesn't matter whether or not I use my CPAP, the problem still happens.
      I don't take vit. D every day, so I'm not ODing, but that's an excellent point.

    The molecular formula of human insulin is C257H383N65O77S6. It is a combination of two peptide chains (dimer) named an A-chain and a B-chain, which are linked together by two disulfide bonds. The A-chain is composed of 21 amino acids, while the B-chain consists of 30 residues
