  • Jordan Adams was just 23 doctors gave him the devastating news that he carries a faulty copy of the MAPT gene and will develop Frontotemporal Dementia in the next 15 years. The symptoms are likely to start in his early 40s.
Jordan has already lost his mother, aunts and cousins to the disease. Jordan’s younger brother, Cian has also been diagnosed with the gene. Now, at 28, Jordan has vowed to dedicate his life to finding a cure and aims to raise 1 million pounds for Alzheimer's Research UK. Jordan firmly believes that we are “at the beginning of the end” for dementia and wants people to know that the disease is NOT a natural part of ageing.

What a courageous young lad you are Jordan! Your dear mum must be so immensely proud of you, your dear dad too. I wish you and your brother all the luck in the world!
I think you and your partner did the right thing in not bringing your child into the world knowing what could possibly face him or her.
I sincerely hope that science and technology will help you and all those with/or possibly facing dementia the very best of luck!! 😊

There is much research into different medicinal mushrooms and their effects on this (and brain function more widely), in Asia, largely ignored by the West. As i assume, it wouldn't make any real money for pharmaceutical companies.

@@donna25871 No, look it up. Lions mane, among many, has lots of peer reviewed and decent sample size studies, in rats and humans. All indicating they could help prevent and treat conditions like Dementia and Alzhemiers but again, it's largely ignored by the West. Plus, other dietary supplements help, lots of fish oils etc. Yet, you're going to tell me there's nothing wrong with eating baked beans on toast and pizza 7 days a week aren't you?

You could always consider adoption. I know as an adopted adult now how much we need a loving family.

He should maybe try the carnivore diet and contact either Dr Shawn Baker, Dr Ken Berry or Dr Anthony Chafee for advice and guidance.😢😢
