The original was fully voiced actually, by no other than Gordon Freeman's VA.
That generated voice sounded almost identical to Breen.

The game seems like an oldschool text based adventure game, which uses already programmed words in the game so no, it don't use AI

I would unironically love a full text-based Adventure game where you play as a regular Citizen in a Combine city. Getting choices to stay as you are, join the Metrocops, join the Resistance. It'd have excellent potential.

There is a Half-Life text-based adventure generator on character.ai, which even lets you choose a faction to play as and also allows you to describe your actions in detail.
After the impulse 101 part I was half expecting to see an attempt to put in sv_cheats 1
the fact that it took this long to run out of readily available half life facts really goes to show how rich and nuanced the lore really is in all of the half life games, i really hope another piece of media comes out that's as captivating as half life's lore and worldbuilding.
Bugs, cheats, cancelled gameplay ideas and scrapped levels aren't lore. Half life 1 and 2 only contain what is needed to make the games feel as a whole.
Oh, another Valve leak happened a few months back. There is still content to cover, but Maprhy didn't have the time to do so.

He's back! After 9 months in development, it was definitely worth the wait!
The first thing that came to my mind was to go back. And I thought it would be a joke about accelerated back-hopping. But then I realised that this was probably released along with the actual game, so they had no way of knowing hah!
Only Marphy would go to all the trouble of calling up the spirit of Robert Culp to do voice-over for this. Serious necromantic chops right there.

Every time I think you've found everything, holy crap.
There is also a demo i never managed to find again, the game started in a small chamber made of metal and there was a few, huge vent textures in some walls. It also had awful graphics, to the point where the only weapon (the tau cannon) just scrolled trough 3 pngs to fire and the walls where so simple it almost looked like a doom level, altho there where ramps
I remember that it had an intro as if it was for some kind of event that you had to go trough before starting the game with some text

@@jackknifevideoworks I really do not know, it looked NOTHING like the Half Life we got, i doubt it was even the same engine.
GoldenSource was made before Valve even existed no? so i doubt it was an early version of that engine either.
Was HL planned for a different engine before?
@@rompevuevitos222 GoldSRC was developed by Valve, but it was a heavily edited version of Quake 2. the alpha build used the original Quake 2 engine if i'm not mistaken, and it did have gigantic vents since the scale was all weird. look at some old half life alpha builds and see if they're familiar?

I think "Noclip" was a command that did work, but it seems that it was not archived because it gives a different error. Maybe it was some "Impulse 101"-like joke, but there's no way of knowing :/

Gosh do I love Half-Life and Valve. Well, the old Valve. There's no telling how much or how little they've changed until they actually make games again rather than occasionalky releasing a VR demo. Man do I look forward to them releasing more. But with Alyx, the fabled Neon Prime, and now CS2, well, I'll probably jinx it, but they _seem to_ be making games again.

I'm not sure if there's a proper answer to that, it's been up to speculation from what I know. The music itself is from "Is That the Door?" By Zero-G, if that helps!
