Don't forget their VERY BEST tune. "It's a Long Way There". And.....Oh yeah Jay....The violin hits you right at the very front. So does the harmonies. And it is their very best bass groove. And the best guitarist that no one ever talks about. Did I say it was their BEST?

No, they are not at all underrated.
They were massive in the USA; their sales would've made them huge Millionaires.
They were huge in their homeland Australia before they went and conquered the USA.
People who claim certain Artists are 'criminally underrated band' have no idea about history and facts.
"Diamantina Cocktail' was the first Australian album to reach Platinum sales in the USA.
I've seen a lot of comments on You Tube, whereby people claim an Artist to be 'criminally underrated ' when they aren't.
It's like saying that THE BEATLES were 'criminally underrated '
      It's ridiculous and dumb.

Another great song by the LRB, one of my favorite groups. Yep, you said it Jay...there were multiple songs with the title "Lady", & all could be heard on the radio in the early 80s!

This song ALWAYS reminds me of "backwards skate, everyone backwards skate please" how I spent my childhood and early teen years 🥰

Love this one! You should really hear "Reminiscing", fantastic harmonies on that one. Another choice is "Playing to Win" a huge change in their sound.

That’s because Glen left and John Farnham was their lead singer John wrote Playing to Win because of his frustration with the band with the in band fighting etc or so the it goes..

You will have to do regular reviews on LRB and their catalogue. Long Jumping Jeweller, Help is on its Way, The Border(John Farnham on lead vocals). And Aussie staple and ever melancholy when I listen to any of their music. An add of bands to listen to would be Mondo Rock as they were a huge influence of growing up in the eighties here in australia. Thank you again for a great reaction.

Two LRB down now and interestingly enough, you haven't yet scratched the surface of their REALLY top shelf stuff. That will be fun to see you finally get to explore that stuff, when you get around to it, then you will hear what LRB were all about!

I know every lyric to almost every song. They're just that great. They dominated the airwaves when I was in high school. They remain in the top 5 of all time in my playlist.

Love me some Little River band, so many greats over the years....I have even gotten my youngest son to sing along with the chorus of Help Is On Its Way.....I'm glad you reacted to Lady, ........"Reminiscing", "Lonesome Loser" are also real good. Hope you react to Help Is On Its Way next!

Great song! I remember back in the late 70s hearing this song played on the juke box at the bowling alley on Friday nights. So fitting at the time in the game room while my parents bowled in their league. Simpler times, I guess.
Reminiscing should be your next reaction.

I got to see LRB in concert once, many years ago. It was a great concert! My favorite song from LRB (one of my all time favorite bands, BTW) is "Reminiscing." It's a great, easy rock song. If it could be your next reaction , I'd really appreciate it. Thanks, Jay and Amber!
