  • I think I may have finally worked out why my worst ever beer was so bad and it's all thanks to something called 'Hop Creep'.

I guess this could be one of the reasons pretty much every batch I make keeps fermenting in bottle for 1-2 after

Fair play for drinking that beer a third time on camera!

Wow this is starting to make a lot of sense. I dry hopped my IPA a week ago, then recently lost power to my kegerator so the dry hop phase/fermentation was forced to last a bit longer than I had planned. I took 2 gravity readings, one right before dry hop and one right before kegging and it dropped 2 or 3 more points before kegging. It also was already slightly carbonated before kegging as well. The gravity readings tasted okay but I have a very amateurish pallet, and still learning what exactly I should be looking for when tasting them.. it tasted 'fine' to me like I would expect an ipa. Can report back once it's ready in a couple more days of carbing. But all in all, I expect it to be drinkable lol

Will just be "bio-transfermation" you achieved. The beer will be fine

@@BassRTA84 Awesome! And as I'm relatively new to brewing, I'm perfectly fine with fine beer!

Just subed after watching ur kvike video... You mentioned in that video about yeast harvesting.. would be great to see something on how you do that and how long the harvest would last

No more craft beer for me. I took a chance on a 4 pack of Froth Brewing company Pillow Top. It tastes like grapes got drunk and threw up. Well that's $10 down the drain. It starts with a gentle sweet then clubs you over the head with a bile like bitterness.

Oft, sorry to hear. You could always contact the brewery? Most are happy to help out and send out new beer if something is wrong
