There's something that I've always been curious about concerning Pat Robertson's presidential campaign. I wonder if (had Pat managed to perform just a little better than he did) there would have been more questions about his judgment considering his run came in regard to the PTL scandal; especially considering Pat was Jim & Tammy Faye Bakker's first boss in the 1960s and early 1970s
Imagine an alternate history where Pat Robinson became president. He would probably be one of the worst US presidents of all time. He would make Nixon and Trump look like Thomas Jefferson and Abraham Lincoln.
Wouldn't of been elected in a million yrs. 1987-1989 televangelists came under alot of scrutiny. The PTL scandal began what would be a decline in their popularity. These people were disliked by half the country. They also had a history of anti-catholic bigotry which harmed him in the industrial Midwest.
