My Life with Frank Zappa 1968-1971 Laurel Canyon'. It is my story from meeting Frank in London when publicising the Mother's first European tour in 1967 and ended up living and working in his house with Gail, Moon Unit, and seven others, thus the book's unique access.

I was working at his organization back then, and now have come full-circle with regard to his religion and politics. I’ll always find it strange how, back at this time, Russia (the USSR) was the ‘evil force’ against which the ‘godly’ US was going to stand. Nowadays everything has changed, leaving much of Pat’s status as ‘visionary’ suspect. We now have a ‘conservative’ party which kisses the arse of the Russian dictator, and sides with him against a neighboring democratic state. Surprisingly enough, these US supporters of the Russian dictator are claiming him to be a “Christian”, and consider his cruel actions to be some sort of Divine Intervention. The suspicions I had back in the early 1980s have been confirmed.

I saw Zappa in 76,at the Mid-Hudson Civic Center in Poughkeepsie. For those who haven't been to this venue, it's very small, but such a great entertainer.
