- This is from Michael Moore's TV Nation (1994) in which correspondent Louis Theroux investigates the religious groups known as "Millennialists." Harold Camping is shown predicting Judgment Day for September, 1994. Camping also poses with the copy camera he bought cheap from Jim Jones, when the latter closed down his California People's Temple operation. (The full segment is elsewhere on RUclips. Thank you internet historian
This was the first Louis Theroux interview on TV if anyone is interested
Wikipedia says he was in an earlier episode of this show (TV Nation) titled "NBC Show 3". Not sure if he did an interview in that one tho.
May 21 went by and look we are all still here.
What did harold say after nothing happened in 1994? Does anyone know?
A rather nice voice, Camping's.
Must have sounded wonderful on radio when he was this much younger.
Such a pity that he wasted it preaching bullshit - and preaching overall - for 50 years.
Humans are very very sad creatures.
Revelation 3:3 "Remember, therefore, what you have received and heard; obey it, and repent. But if you do not wake up, I will come like a thief, and you will not know at what time I will come to you."
actually, Im just saying, he says "this could be" not "this will be" In 1994
where as now he says "This WILL be"
um still alive?
I died back in 1994 and i was born in 1995
Harold camping was one year off, it was 1995 when the world ended, when Jerry Garcia died.
A whole bunch of videos about Harold (trying to discredit him) have come out within the last few days.
Falso Profeta
Hey, this is the same guy that did the documentary "the most hated family in America." I like him.
1994 is a quarter century ago. )
He should've stopped wasting his and everyone else's time after this fail.
So hes saying that if hes prophesy doesn't come true he cant retire and have to work on "future scams about the end of the world" He doesn't seem that confident in his own prediction :/
Love to see this guy at BiIl Maher's show
Big money
@Pilgrim1411 sunday morning will discredit him more than any videos.
This guy, he predicted today is the end of the world, he already predicted it was going to happen in 1994, never happened, and he is STILL trying to tell us when its all going to end???????????????
@DDDell111 agreed
@pesdude What gets me is the goofballs who keep on believing him. He was wrong before, what makes anyone think he is going to be right again????
So The rapture was going to happen just 3 months before I was born? Then I wouldn't have gotten the chance to live my life on earth. And yet he was wrong. The rapture never happened and I was born as were many other babies who are living happy lives now here on earth.
seems that lying is the formula for a long and healthy life.
lets see sept 6,1994 sept 9, 2001 what is the time delay um.. 7 years 3 days...
may 21, 2011 so far all is calm all is bright.. could be another 7 years and 3 days before we really know.
Retire?? after judgement day LOL.
@marryanne1987 He wont get a chance, he's damn near 90. Hopefully he dies on May 21. Wouldn't that be a self-fulfilling prophecy?
@brainouty yeah and I'm engaged to TNA Knockout Mickie James.
