Breaking 90 is my goal. I will be 80 in a few months, and for the first time in many years I fell confident that I am going to do that after watching your video. What I like is that you show and tell perfectly to keep my focus on your instruction. Thank you very much.
Ive watched alot of videos and played alot of golf and ive never had anyone ever give the explanations of the details of the golf swing like you do Clay.... Absolutely Amazing stuff right there !
Bro, you are a great instructor. 90 is my heartache because I can’t consistently get below that number. Can’t wait to work on these tips. Thanks, Clay!
Good job Clay, we always call this the "Half Happy Gilmore", kids love it! Notice the front foot instinctively landing just as Hogan described. Also can be incorporated into club throwing fun!
I hit my drives better (not great but definitely better) when I use the step to the right technique to actually hit balls, I think I also saw Padraig Harrington do this during a tournament recently. I've always struggled getting onto you right toe in the follow through and this has transformed my weight shift but would you suggest I persevere with this or should I try not to move my feet? Many thanks for your great videos.
Hi Clive, thank you for sharing. I wouldn't recommend leaving your feet. It's going to be difficult to be consistent doing that. I would recommend try to translate the same feeling to a more stable swing. Play well! ~ Quentin | TSG Instructor
Outside of the spine tilt, do these same moves apply to the iron swing? I'm going to post this question to one of Robin's videos I saw recently as well...think it was 6 elements or places to get to in the swing or something like that...
Hi Rob, I responded to your question in Robin's other video. We see all the comments in one place so you don't have to post the same question twice if you want to save yourself some time. Yes, this applies to iron swings as well. The spine tilt on both is going to be about the same. You can be a little more tilted away for a driver to help you hit more up on the ball and a little more vertical with a wedge as well. Play well ~ Quentin | TSG Instructor
Hi Justin, I believe it was but I'm not sure. It could have been the Legacy Club at Alaqua Lakes too. Hope you're playing great! ~ Quentin | TSG Instructor
Hi Jason, I'm not really sure what you mean. Clay has all kinds of clubs in his bag. He used to actually have a Ping driver but it cracked so he got this Taylormade one. He hits it about the same from what I can tell. It's possible you may have seen Clay using a Titleist driver in other videos but that's Robin's driver. Hope you're playing great! ~ Quentin | TSG Instructor
Thanks Lynne, glad you liked the video. A block is caused by a club path that is too far to the right and an open club face. It's hard to say exactly why you are doing that without seeing your swing but many times it's because your'e might be getting stuck. Here is a great video from the website with a drill to help with that if your'e interested: topspeedgolf.com/vault/avoid-getting-your-golf-club-stuck-behind/. I hope that helps. Let me know if you have any further questions. Play well ~ Quentin | TSG Instructor
I've developed the perfect swing technique that I can use to get someone hitting the ball straight and long. It's based off of a movement that everyone knows. I got people at the range asking if I can teach them because they see my ball flight and contact. Guess what, I developed it from a video that Clay put out a while back, but the concept is framed differently.
Because they have the time and money to get really really good at Golf. They say golf is a rich man's game. No, I say the PGA Tour is a rich man's game. It's not really that expensive to play golf, you just won't be great at it if you don't have the time and money.
That was brilliant ! The baseball comparison is great ! Out I go in the backyard !!
Thanks!

That shoulder turn and weight shift drill helped me some much. I'm finding the center of the face consistently. Thanks Clay.
great coach been playing for only a few months and these drills working on the lower body has really helped me out a lot with being more consistent

Simple and workable tips. Thank you.
Thanks Shigeharu!
Shigeharu Shimizu definitely the easiest instructor at getting his points across.
Roll on the UK summer so I can hit the grass regularly!
Best instructional video I've seen in a long time. Excellent
Thanks Roberto!

Hey Clay, how do like the transition from titleist to taylormade?
Love to hear from ya

Love your instruction. You are my go to online golf guru. Why do I block right?
