Rules are rules. Sharks deserve a home final, end of debate.
Will they be shooting up performance enhancing drugs in the dressing room?
I agree with Gal, sharks even though people are saying they can't win some teams they still deserve that home final
Same for the Warriorss. They want to take it to Eden Park. That is NOT a home game. They could fit 30 000 at Mt Smart if they wanted.
Maybe 26k. The problem is the expense of temp seating.
@@TheEvilJade They had over 29 000 for the All Blacks game earlier this year.
Gal's on the money. If Knights were forced to play in a Sydney stadium this week instead of Mac Jones, we'd riot.
Difference is Mac Jones can hold 33k, that’s 20k more than Shark Park. A ground should be able to hold 20k for Week 1.
Home finals are awesome the atmosphere is crazy.
I laughed when I heard Freddy's comments during the game on the w.e. You ask any sharks fan and I guarantee they will want to play at shark park.
I’m based regionally and was zero chance of getting a ticket but there is no way in hell I want that game anywhere but shark park. To suggest Allianz is laughable
We the Warriors want to play at Mount Smart rather than Eden Park!
As has been noted countless times, you get a better atmosphere at the smaller grounds, in this case the Sharks got dudded by the NSW Govt who promised upgrade money and then walked away from the commitment.
But when it comes down to it, the team that won the right to a home game should never be forced to play it at someone elses ground.
If you know the shire, you'd know that they have the greatest community who barrack for their local. Shark park deserves home and finals games
If YOU know the Shire you would know this is St George Territory for anyone that isn't a recent blow in :)
I was at the sharks v raiders game last week. When Seb Kris tackled Katoa, you would've thought you were at a stadium with 40000 people. I couldn't hear anything, only the off chant that went up around the park. Sharks fans will make shark park a hostile environment for the Roosters, that is what they get for not putting in the work early on in the season. It will definitely feel like more than 13000.
I live in the Shire. Last year, 90% of Sharks supporters I knew couldn’t go to the game against the Cowboys because tickets were sold out. I don’t think Shark Park is the reason that game was so memorable, it was the two teams and the way they played. Think of all those Sharks fans (and Cowboys fans) that missed out on an amazing experience. It should have been played at Allianz. I think if they were playing anyone BUT the Roosters or Rabbitohs, they should take the game to Allianz. That being said, this weekend is against the Roosters, and last year they took their second final to Allianz and gave the Rabbitohs an upper hand. Should be case by case, but Shark park is too small. This week should be an exception.
You gotta love Gus.
Everybody's talking loudly and interrupting each other trying to get their point accross. Not Gus tho, he just sits there quietly and majestically observing.
And when they run out of steam, they'll be like "So Gus what do you think?"
What the point of home advantage if you have to play opposition home ground if people complain about the crowd capacity then go chip in $$$ for
sharkies new stadium 😂
they win 67 percent at shark park also , so that was a silly comment mate. its not fair to fans , its bad for business. they could have gone to a neutral venue but it has to be looked at in the future. Roosters have a convincing win rate at shark park so its not going to make a difference.
Well said Gal, give it to the clowns. Bloody Roosters that's all everyone goes on about. Go Sharkies. 🦈🦈🦈
All everyone goes on about is the roosters? What planet are you on? Planet shire I guess. In bred.
@@stewartdavies929tell the media to stop talking about them then, no one cares that suali is going to union, no one cares what’s happening with Sam walker, JWH can’t keep himself outta the judiciary 😂it’s the media and your team keeping thekselves in the spotlight.
Mullets
If the facilities at Shark Park aren't finals worthy then do something about it. The stadium has barely changed in 50 years. Either kick them out or upgrade the facilities.
Stick to the original plan and force them to join with Rabbito's
They should help clubs like the Sharks improve and expand the capacity. It would be great for the game and would end this nonsense debate.
As a roosters fan. It’s not fair to be played at our home ground. Shark park or Neutral
Was fascinated when told people from Shire didn't like crossing The Bridge. Then it was explained the bridge was Tom Uglys.
Panthers v Eels 2022 could have been played at Commbank or maybe even Accor (50-60k is not out of the question). Where was the outrage then?
What are you, dense? The 2022 grand final was played at Accor. Has been nince 1999 except for once in 2021, wanna guess why?
@kers225abk2 bahahaha no I am not dense. Anyone who has followed the NRL reasonably closely knows Accor holds the GF. I'm talking about Week 1 of the finals. Want to try again?
@@andrewmihaleff They wouldn't have played at Commbank, that is the Eels' ground. And Bluebet can hold just under 23,000 which is significantly more than Pointsbet.
@samkennedy6508 for sure. I'm just saying for all the hullabaloo about the Sharks, that match last year genuinely has 50-60k potential. If the Panthers had the right to shut out thousands, so do the Sharks. Mind you, the Shire is a pain in the proverbial to get in and out of, so there's an added argument there.
@andrewmihaleff anyone with half a brain wouldn't say rif vs eels 2022 because that alludes to the grand final ya space cadet. Nice try though 😂
They deserve a home final but need a bigger ground
wooooooah damn!! worked hard to play at home!! What's the split at Moore park??
All good last game Sharks play this year anyway. The Roosters will win . Cronulla just can’t seem to get it right this end of the comp. Chooks are on a roll . Good effort from the sharks and Fitzgibbon . 👍
How about Cronulla upgrade the stadium?? Turn it into a 25,000 or 30,000. I mean upgrade it name the new stands after ET, Paul Gallen, Gavin Miller and Steve Rogers or David peachy.
Well Toyota is suppose to be moving out ,, so a decent carpark also?
Imagine if that was the rule and the Knights weren't playing in Newcastle this week
Comb over irritates me when he adds his expertise.
Not a fan .... BUT they have earned the right, the atmosphere would be insane !
Has to be at shark park. They do need to increase capacity though
I agree with Gal
If the Sharks earned the right to have a home finals they should have their home finals
Back in the 90’s shark park on a Saturday night got 17-18k per game. Take me back 🍻🏉
This "argument" was purely for entertainment purposes only.
A quick search says that the Cronulla Sharks own the field, so then they should upgrade its capacity or lose finals games, simple as that.
Why does the nrl not offer sharks more of an enticing financial gain for them to move it there then?
Honestly, compared to the AFL, the NRL is a total Mickey Mouse operation
Why not fill a stadium know matter what it holds. Better than homebush being a quarter filled... Comical conversation... On ya Gal...
2 bit competition. What does the NRL know about crowds.
I hate the Sharks but Gal is right for once all games should be at a neutral venue & with the GF unless it’s Rabbits or Dogs playing in it no one gets home ground advantage
Send them to Perth
What's wrong with you people. Are you telling me broncs or Panthers deserve a home final because they hold more people than the Sharks. Crunulla finished in front of roosters. So shark park it is.
Gal Build a bigger stadium
JT was behind a 20k seat stadium In Townsville
why do rugby league fans call every final a semi final lol..its the qualifying final or elimination final in the 1st week
NRL putting competition integrity before corporate greed. Take note AFL!
If sharks get home ground final then warriors should play at Mt smart not Eden Park? Money
you get rewarded for where you finish on the ladder . there ahead of the roosters so they get the advantage leading into finals .
I agree with gal.
How stupid is the government to spend the money at Allianz and not contract finals games there.
It’s nrl don’t get crowds anyway.
Play the finals at Eden Park 😂
Embarrassing playing a final in a 13k ground and supporters cant get a ticket. Same breath wants to be better than AFL. Agree its within the rules. Everything is for TV they are happy more viewers watching it.
Crowds are irrelevant anyway,,it's all about the tv revenue. Grab a home ground advantage while you can.
Shark park looks ridiculous, they've ruined a football field with all that crap they've built
Isn’t a sharks semi
They deserve the right
Do you even understand Footy? Gal
Every club that makes it to Final
Had the right to play a home Final
You want Panthers play at CommBank
Eels Final Home Ground
Gal Get Eels to Play at Bluebet stadium
Gal Get out of Footy Mate !
Why does nobody care about the poor crowds all year? Money from pokies at the leagues clubs, perhaps? Get people to games all year, not just glory hunters wanting playoff tickets, problem solved...
Irrelevant, they aren't going to win anyway 😅
That guys hair should be shaved off
they finished 6th they haven't earned anything
Geez, I remember playing Engadine Dragons when I was with Cronulla Caringbah under Gerard Raper years ago in the GF , and there was 8,000 plus there at the old Endeavour Field. Seems odd. But Gal is right, the rules are the rules.
get rid of chammas
If the dragons weren’t allowed to play finals in their regional base of Wollongong, how on earth do the sharts get to play in that dump. The same way they rorted the salary cap the years either side of their premiership but not that year lol yeah right!
You forgot the drug scandal?
Who cares about the ground ??!! Rugby league is a TV game anyway. Every game should be played at a boutique ground or country towns
Why is it a tv game? Because people in Sydney won't turn up?
@@TheJuanvegas cause a million people watch it and it’s actually one of the few sports on earth that is better to watch on tv than at the game
Oh come off it !
1. Shark park is the most hideous stadium there is in Australia - surrounded by scaffolding
2. It’s a small stadium anyways?
3. Shark park does not have an atmosphere 🤣 as mentioned it’s a bloody construction site
Same goes with the Warriors
I dont support the sharks, in fact i hate them, but they earned a home final so let them have it.
Agree ,, and I doubt you hate Sharks more than I do.
I agree with Gal
