Hello, a question fits my 2018 Tacoma off road rwd, it is not 4x4.
Just got my '23 Taco on Monday, I will be getting a TRD skid plate and using the stock one as a back up, sitting in the garage collecting dust.

Does the trd pro skid plate cover the transmission?
Does this work with 4 Cylinder tacomas? I've seen some aftermarket skid plates that say they aren't compatible.
Just to verify- you don’t use the front two 12 mm screw locations for mounting this skid plate correct? Looked like the front two were 17 mm

If I add the TRD Pro skid plate to my 4runner, is it as simple as unscrewing the small square to access the oil filter? Or does the entire skid plate have to come off for an oil change?
Unfortunately the 4Runner skid plate does not have an access for the oil filter. So yes the skid plate does have to come down.
4Runner is different and has only 4 bolts, but you have to remove it every time you change your oil.
This would fit a 2024 Tacoma?
Can I add the skid plate to trd sport? I have to remove the air dam, any difference driving w/ skid or air dam?
Yes you can add this to your TRD Sport model. No difference in driving.
Question do I need to keep the front lower deflector off?
No, once you add the TRD skid plate that is no longer needed.

I know the skid plate fits on the trd sport but I read it’s not recommended because of the air dam, Is it really an issue? Any big problems from installing it on my sport? Thank you
Take the chin strap off!!
The TRD ones look sweet.. but the OEM ones are better, STEEL vs ALUMINUM.. Steel wins every time.. the Aluminum will get twisted and dented fast on any big hits, the steel ones just shrug it off.
