It's so crazy how the franchise went so far off from the original simplistic Carpenter/Hill concept. Akkad really sent the franchise further and further downhill with each entry. It's such a shame how disjointed the Halloween franchise is as a whole with all of the different timelines. I guess it's more of a testamate to how good Carpenter really is as a filmmaker. Just look at all the different writers and directors over the years that have tried to put their own spin or ideas into the Halloween movies and none of them are in any way close to what JC was able to pull off with the smallest budget and crew of all the productions.
The thing that made the original what it is, is that nobody needed to know anything. Laurie wasn't even his sister in the beginning. My opinion is once you peel back what makes a monster it makes it less scary, especially if the reasoning isn't good enough like for me the cult thing didn't land well.
Because there are so many Halloween movies, Michael Myers/ the shape not having a backstory in Halloween Kills and Halloween Ends is NOT working( John Carpenter original concept ) . Halloween Kills is getting mix to bad reviews. At least Halloween 4,5 and 6 had a storyline good or bad.
Fun fact for those interested, the Cult aspect was hinted at in Halloween '78, the "Thorn" symbol shown is not the thorn rune, this is "ƿ" the symbol shown on Michael's wrist is this "ᚹ" which is called "Wyn" so someone did their research, it wasn't a half baked idea, it had thought behind it.
I'm interested. Can you please explain more on how it was hinted in Halloween 1978? Was there something in the first movie you say, that hinted at the cult of Thorn? I apologize. But I'm not quite following.
This series is a prime example of "reach not exceeding grasp" or "the whole being lesser than the sum of its parts". I actually kinda liked the whole cult of Thorn angle, as it explained (to a limited degree) why Michael had such supernatural strength and stamina. I also liked (again, to a limited degree) that Michael was related to Laurie, as it partially revealed why he was so intent on killing her, especially given the events of H2 at Haddonfield Memorial. It's so weird that Halloween Kills goes out of its way to proclaim that Michael wasn't specifically after Laurie all along and she was just coincidental collateral damage for...what? There's a lot of good stuff in H4 thru 6 that could've been timeless to the series if a little more care had been taken to flesh-out the more wild and heady ideas.
Not everything needs to be explained. They should of kept his supernatural elements a mystery. That's the beauty of it, it makes it more creepy. I'll agree on kills because it's just stupid. Like, he wasn't actually after her but he's going to continue to hunt her now in ends? It's weird.
The music was not great in the theatrical cut...Besides the dumpster fire garbage trash bwaaaaa guitar version of the theme, its full of god awful 90s butt rock
It was actually the first I saw in the series when I was a kid. It was the directors cut so it didn’t have that stupid ending where Michael comes to a stand still over stones on the floor 😅 I thought it was great and creepy at that age.
I asked Ms Harris about why she didn't reprise her role. She simply stated that it died in negotiations between managers. She said she would have loved to have been in it. But, now, I'm kinda glad she wasn't. She deserved more screen time then they ended up giving that character. And, now, the movie went off in a completely different direction. She got a good role in Hatchet 2 and 3, made it all her own.
H6 is one of my favorites. I don’t mind the Thorn stuff. Michael is still Michael: a cold-blooded murderer. There are awesome kills, and there’s still a story behind its two movies before it. You can’t please everyone. I also digged Tommy, Loomis, and the adopted Strode
The biggest crimes for the theatrical Halloween 6 being the cut Donald Pleasance footage and the cut of Alan Howarth's score. SO much music only heard in the Producer's Cut.
The "Cult of Thorn" or "Curse of Thorn" story arc actually did make the most sense and tied everything together. The robes are dumb, though. They should be wearing garb with a more authentic Celtic style. 10:50 Unfold that stock, greenhorn!
Thank you for making this video I had so many questions about what the hell was going on with Halloween. So many different continuations and arcs it didn't make any sense how he kept getting his story re-written.
The Thorn storyline is goofy, but I love H6. The mask is great, Michael is brutal, and the music is good. They did a good job catching that Halloween vibe in this movie.
I honestly love all the oddball/nearly hated entries In most series. Freddy's dead, Jason goes to hell, halloween 6, texas chainsaw massacre next generation etc
I enjoy both versions of Halloween 6. While the producers cut has a better story that's faithful to the first movie, these theatrical version has better kills
I enjoyed Halloween 6 and the producer, wish there was a version that combined the best of both worlds to make the ultimate cut,I prefer Halloween 6 over Halloween resurrection,Both Rob zombie's versions and Halloween 5
I always hated this one, but I gotta say I give them credit for attempting to explain all of the bullshit Halloween 5 left behind. Makes me enjoy it more as I get older. I grew up watching 4 and 5, so I had nostalgia goggles on when it came to 5, I always blamed the over explanation on H6.
The Producers cut is going for crazy prices now, especially on Blu Ray. It's hard to be a collector who actually wants to watch certain films but can't pay those prices.
Wow it really shot up. I wonder if its because of the timing of Halloween kills right now. Its $160 on Amazon. I bought the blu ray there a year ago for around $10
It was literally available for YEARS before it went out of print. Not only was it available in the Scream Factory Halloween box set it was sold separate. If someone didn't purchase it for the YEARS it was available they obviously didn't want it....Its also available for 10 bucks digitally
Damn, I bought it at Walmart in 2018 for like 6 bucks on bluray. It was when they were releasing blurays with those VHS style slip covers. The slip cover actually said nothing about it being the producer's cut. It wasn't until i got home with it and took off the shrink wrap and slip cover that I saw it was the PC. I was pleasantly surprised.
Glad I'm not the only one who hears the similarity. I can't get Norm's face out of my head when watching these videos. I keep waiting for him to say, "Halloween ... reminds me of that tragedy. Don't laugh about Halloween, man, I walked through blood and bones in the streets of Haddonfield looking for my brother. He was in Northern Canada."
Unlike 5, H20, and Resurrection, this movie actually feels like Halloween with its tone, direction, and atmosphere. Especially in the Producer’s cut. It truly feels the most like Halloween since the original 3 films. That said, amongst its many problems with writing, pacing, editing, and performances, the biggest issue with the film for me is that it lacks the energy and charisma that’s present in 4, 5, H20, and even Resurrection. Love them or hate them, you remember Tina, Rachael, Ronnie, Bud, Sheriff Meeker, and even Freddy Harris. Every character in this film comes off so somber and wooden. The only character who feels in tune with the rest of the series, is Mr. Strode who has charisma and energy. Everyone and everything else is so bland and overly serious. It doesn’t help that the subject matter involves a teenager being impregnated, implied incest, and creepy rituals involving babies, all making it hard to have that entertainment value of the other films. Curse of Michael Myers is a terrible movie in my opinion, but it’s better than 5 and Resurrection, and while H20 is actually a competent film, Curse feels more authentic to the series than that film. Myers is mildly intimidating. the atmosphere, cinematography, some fun kills, a great performance by Donald Pleasance, and it certainly captures the feel of the series more than the other sequels.
I hate, hate HATE this movie but I will admit it's shot very well and like you said, it does feel like a Halloween movie like H4. I also can't help but love the look of Michael's mask.
@@jenniferwilliams5478 Well style wise the franchise needed to grow up, so to go from Hallowen 6 where they wouldn't even pay a returning actress $4,000 for her part in the movie to Halloween H20, it probably saved the franchise in a way. It looks so much more professional.
Listening how studios and Hollywood do actors and movies with disregard to the originals and fans is just disgusting and we still pay them. How they did Danielle Harris was bogus, glad Rob brought her back. That alone makes this movie even more shit than it is. We really have sheep amongst us if you can actually like this “production”
I agree this movie wasn’t it but if you watch the producers cut it makes the movie ten times better and shows more scenes to make it more sense than the original movie why they released this version instead of the producers cut idk but it would’ve been a better hit
I don’t know why some people don’t like it.. I absolutely LOVED HW6…. he was just ruthless, pure evil & his mask was way scarier. Also the whole Thorn storyline I enjoyed too
Joblooo I love your channel , I love all the video you made, making classic movie resurface for new generation with WATAFAK ..haha , I hope you make the WTF happen with "MINDHUNTER" CAME OUT 2000 OR MORE ... THE ONE THAT GOT VAL KILMER IN IT.. for me,that movie really shaped me up to be a filmmaker .. please do it
I just got a book on runes and I got chills when I saw the thorn rune. The description for which was describing and unstoppable force of unconcious evil and harm. Almost like the Thorn storyline could have been the best way to explain the unexplainable horror villain if it was reworked a tad.
While I loved the whole Curse of Thorn aspect of the film and wished they had of kept it in future films to explain why he had superhuman strength and kept coming back, maybe it was for the best. I just wish the whole franchise wasn't as disjointed as it is with all the different timelines and whatnot. It's good to see Halloween doing well in recent years and now. I always felt Myers was a better slasher series than Voorhees, Krueger or Chucky. Maybe, from this point forward, Hollywood will start getting these remakes or reboots right and give us some good horror films.
Funny thing is the director of this movie did some reshoots on Hellraiser Bloodline. Also I like how they tried to go back to things like witchcraft and rituals they just forgot how to make it work for a movie that steered away from it after part 3.
I agree,as a 10,11 year old I was absolutely terrified of this movie. I still think it has the most brutal Micheal in the series but the story is garbage
I loved the Producer's Cut since I got a bootleg VHS two decades ago. The cult storyline might not be everyone's bag, but I thought it was fitting for Halloween (the day).
I actually enjoyed this movie a lot. I was like 8 or 9 years old when i first saw it and it still gives me chills now that i'm my 30's. The thorn storyline was ok, but i thought Wilbur's MM was scary as shit and i love his fast walk, like when he is chasing everyone in the hospital basement. Obviously, better Halloween films have been made, but i gotta admit this one creeps me out the most for some reason
Personally, I loved the Curse of Michael Myers. The director's cut was garbage, but the original was awesome in my eyes. Outside of Halloween Kills the Curse was the most brutal Michael Myers ever!! That scene when he kills the entire medical staff is one of the best ever. When that lil girl is like “it’s raining red” as she danced around as blood drips down was fantastic. When he massacred Jamie Lloyd and took that nurse and stuck her head on the spike these are iconic killings!!! This movie gets a bad wrap in my opinion. So many classic scenes in horror history. Halloween Resurrection, Rob Zombies 2nd Halloween and Halloween 5 are the worst movies in the series if you ask me.
I agree, I bought the box set years back and it comes with the producers cut of part 6 and it was leaps and bounds better. Also includes the TV versions of 1 and 2 which add extra scenes.
Stick with Producers Cut. Much better and far more enjoyable. Wonder at the majesty of Donald (R.I.P. Sir ❤️) Marvel at Paul Rudd pre plastic MCU! Ignore that it's not Danielle Harris (I try) 🤔 The film is not the best, but it's a damn good hoot and holla 🎃🎬❤️
You're either one of two types of fan of this movie 1- The one that loves the senseless violence and couldn't care less about a plot or the directors cut 2- The one that needs answers, is willing to buy into the Pagan theme and loves the directors cut
If they just stuck with daniel farrands script and not replace danielle harris the movie would have been much better then It was that being said it was a decent sequel
Another great video. I always loved Day of the Dead the best. Dawn was second. I liked Return of the Living Dead, but not as much. Keep up the great work and good humor. I love it. I'm very nostalgic and can relate to many of your references.
The movie might have been bad but I found it entertaining lol.. I loved that scene when Michael slams that dudes face through the prison bars. I also liked the scene when Paul Rudd is trying to bust the door open with the fire extinguisher and Michael is coming at him! Michael seemed way more menacing in that movie than I remember him being prior!
I prefer the producers cut by and far. But there supposedly was a scene recorded in H20 where the story 9f the haddonfield murders in which jamie was mentioned causing laurie to vomit in the bathroom and lay next to the toilet in distraught plus a scene of her yelling her son he had a sister being jamie. All deleted from final cut but exists hopefully to be shown next year on the scream factory 4k release in time for hslloween kills.
I called this Michael “Super Michael Myers” due to his strength level increases and the fact he damn near started running at the end when chasing the 3 characters.
my childhood memories of this film is odd I watched Halloween 5 as soon as it hit VHS that cliff hanger ending was brutal it seem like Halloween 666 took forever to finally get made (5-6yrs) that gap of time i’m sure effected the overall box office…. I remember seeing it the opening weekend with my older brother (The film itself holds a special place in my heart) The worst thing imo about Halloween 6 was seeing In Memory of Donald Pleasence at the end of the film! During this time there was no internet or smart phones at your fingertips i remember the promotion for the film was huge lots of print add all over magazines, comic books, Spencer’s Gifts had the original Theatrical poster hung up in the front of the window with the Halloween 666 title on it…. The making of the film itself deserves a stand alone documentary (i know there was one on the Halloween BR box set) but, the entire story is so insane it deserves more of a deep dive (there are actually 4 different cuts of the film. it’s a shame a film as really good as Halloween 4 got no proper follow up sequel that added value to the Return of Michael Myers to make matters worse that time line has been nuked several times now! One thing is for sure Greed & money will never die
This was the last of the original 8 films I saw and it was only about 5 years ago when I did. I knew little of the backstory at the time and just saw it as a convoluted mess trying to explain too much. I appreciated that it FELT like a Halloween film though, like more so than 3 (obviously) 4 and 5, and when I learnt the backstory on a Cinemassacre review a few years ago, I then appreciated more what the director was trying to do. He TRIED! He TRIED as hard as he could to tie so many loose ends from the previous films together to sorta give it some sense and continuity. Even having a returning Michael Myers actor for once. Having Loomis there was gold, Tommy Doyle, like bridging the gaps again where the others often trailed off into different tangents. It leaves a sour taste what they did with Danielle Harris hearing what she put in to reprise her role :( I'm in the camp of 'less is more' though. And the cult story is just silly, its better when we don't know things, when there's questions, when there's mystery. It's definitely not the worst in the franchise. It's better than 5, Resurrection + Rob Zombies H2 in my opinion. The new trilogy of films, ive only seen the first 2, its too soon to say, I feel 6 is more of an authentic Halloween sequel than those despite them being better films on the surface. Thanks for the review pal, love when these 'forgotten' films get some attention and deep analysis.
DAMAGE DONE! Some hardcore Halloween fans only except Michael Myers is cursed and Laurie Strode is his sister. This is why Halloween Kills is getting bad reviews from some hardcore fans . Halloween/ Michael Myers is trying to have no backstory but Halloween Kills has no direction, all over the place and Michael Myers is a Jason clone just killing people not his own serial killer originality.
I saw this in the theater. Around 2000, I bought a crappy VHS copy of the Producer's Cut on the web. I really like both versions, but enjoy the theatrical release a bit more. Danielle Harris not being in the film was a crime.
the man in black was not scareing people who saw UFO'S but he was the DR talking to Loomis in the original movie about Micheal's escape...only this time he was played by Mitchell Ryan who played Burke Devlin in Dark Shadows TV series.
The best things about this film is the really great Michael Myers mask and the head explosion kill. Oh, and introducing us to the eternally young Paul Rudd. Everything else is a huge mess. The Producer's Cut is more coherent and therefore a bit better than the theatrical version by default, but it's still terrible.
Regardless of the confusion, I still really like this one. Michael Myers is so damn intimidating and brutal, the actor played him very well. Unfortunate the plot got mixed up and had to ruin it but he was still a savage.
I get and I don't get the take. I know everyone's crux against the producer's cut is the "implied incest" (though I still firmly believe Wynn impregnated Jamie over Michael somehow doing it) but Goddamn the theatrical is so cut the fuck up, disjointed, and far removed in act III from what it set up in the first 2/3s that I feel like my time was wasted watching it. The fucking annoying tone of rock music overlays, mashup cuts like a MTV music video, different build of Michael in the reshoots, EXTREMELY stupid and ambiguous ending minutes are just the cherry on top. Green chemical liquid oozing out of Michael's mask with Rudd's beatdown, then Loomis' screaming overlaid with the mask and an empty syringe on the floor....like 'the hell is going on? I am even more lost watching this compared to the end of Halloween 5'.
In a vague sense, Crockett's appearance and style do not change much; He is always known to have blonde hair and a sun tan, and is usually seen sporting a 5 o'clock shadow and wearing a loose fitting suit over a T-shirt, paired with deck shoes or loafers without socks. However, over the seasons various aspects of Crockett's appearance change; in the first season Crockett's hairstyle is short and parted over on the side; in the second season it becomes slightly longer in the front and becomes a combed back bouffant-like style; in the third season Crockett's hairstyle becomes short and spikey, and gradually grows out in the back, making it mullet-like; in the fourth season Crockett's hairstyle reverts to being bouffant-like in the front and remains mullet-like, and grows out as the season progresses; for the fifth season Crockett is first portrayed with a stylish ponytail until he regains his memory, after which his hairstyle becomes long and parted over on one side and continues to grow to its longest length. In the first two seasons Crockett's suits and shirts are tailored in pastel colors, while they are instead dark neons for the third season; In the fourth season Crockett's clothing style becomes a mixture of his first two looks; In the fifth season Crockett wears darker shades different from the other seasons and also begins being seen half the time with stonewashed blue jeans and/or a jean jacket paired with sneakers or cowboy boots. Don Johnson originally wanted Crockett to dress more like an urban cowboy, with leather boots, jeans and buttoned shirts, It was only when he arrived in Miami and felt the constant heat and humidity that he changed his mind and followed Michael Mann's ideas of a pastel linen suit look for Crockett. In the very early portion of the first season, Crockett wears brown Carrera 5512 Large sunglasses and Alpina TR 4 glasses; for most of the first season and all of the second season, Crockett wears tortoise shell Ray-Ban Wayfarers. In the third season, Crockett wears black Persol Ratti 69218 glasses. For the fourth and fifth seasons, Crockett wears black Ray Ban Wayfarers, however he wore blue mirrored Revo sunglasses while masquerading as Sonny Burnett. In season 1-2, Crockett was a chain smoker, something that was initially considered by some fans to be one of his trademarks. Some episodes (such as "Brother's Keeper" and "Calderone's Return (Part II)") showed that he preferred unfiltered Lucky Strikes. Throughout season 3, Crockett was no longer seen smoking, and by the season 4 episode "Death and the Lady", he reveals that he has quit altogether. This change was a result of real-life pressure from censors in 1986 during the height of Miami Vice's popularity, as they expressed concern that young men who tried to emulate Crockett would take up smoking. As an interesting bit of trivia, Sonny Crockett's fashion was allegedly inspired by John Taylor of Duran Duran, who, in the video for "Hungry Like the Wolf" is seen wearing a white sportcoat and white slacks with no shirt and slip-on shoes. As the show was in development at the time of the video, this idea was noted. Conversely, Don Johnson maintains that his not wearing buttoned shirts or socks with his suits, as well as the often rolled up sleeves, were simply due to the intense heat he encountered in Miami during filming of the episodes, which caused him to remove items of clothing to be comfortable.
Crazy how (and no disrespect at all r.I.p to that man his daughter) Akkad passing away was the best thing for the franchise. Notice even Carpenter and Jamie Lee came back after he was long gone.
Always wondered why it took 6 years to release this film after the 5th ended the way it did. It’s a shame they essentially blacklisted Danielle Harris which makes absolutely no sense, it’s not like she asked for hundreds of thousands let alone millions. Wish the new trilogy of films had cast her somewhere in the mix.
I went to high school in Utah with a kid named Devin Gardener who casually told me he was in a Halloween movie when he was a kid. I thought he was full of shit, but he played little Danny Strode in this movie and I still can’t get over that fact. 🎃
I thought 6 was ok. I prefer the theatrical cut, that rune stone and incest shit was just goofy. They definitely made Michael creepy again in it. 4 and 5 weren't as much. They did Danielle, as well as Jamie, wrong! So much WRONG! I'm glad she didn't do Halloween 6 it. First of all, she definitely has more self respect for herself than to do that. But also, it would've been so sad to see our actual Jamie die in such a sad way. And the hospital version would've been even worse. Her character and Danielle herself deserved so much better.
Rewatched it last night (2018 cut) and miles better than what I watched as a kid 20 years ago. Only thing was Jamie’s barn death was better in the original cut

Not everything needs to be explained. They should of kept his supernatural elements a mystery. That's the beauty of it, it makes it more creepy. I'll agree on kills because it's just stupid. Like, he wasn't actually after her but he's going to continue to hunt her now in ends? It's weird.
I've always loved H6. Myers was vicious it had great music and I thought they did a good job with what H5 left them with.
The music was not great in the theatrical cut...Besides the dumpster fire garbage trash bwaaaaa guitar version of the theme, its full of god awful 90s butt rock
@@lutherheggs451 I respect your opinion but that's all it is
It was actually the first I saw in the series when I was a kid. It was the directors cut so it didn’t have that stupid ending where Michael comes to a stand still over stones on the floor 😅 I thought it was great and creepy at that age.
@@lutherheggs45111 year old alert complaining about rock music. Go listen to your stupid pop and rap music.
Even Moustapha Akkad wanted Danielle Harris back and they STILL couldn’t give her enough cash?? Wtf?!?! lol
I know right they treated her terrible and she deserved better
He could've made it happen if he really wanted her back.

Michael didn't give a shot,he was killing the doctors and nurses in there!
agree Deion
Yiiikessss
The biggest crimes for the theatrical Halloween 6 being the cut Donald Pleasance footage and the cut of Alan Howarth's score. SO much music only heard in the Producer's Cut.
Donald Pleasance (Dr Loomis) died of heart failure a very short time after this movie was made. RIP, it was a blow to the franchise, losing him
The "Cult of Thorn" or "Curse of Thorn" story arc actually did make the most sense and tied everything together. The robes are dumb, though. They should be wearing garb with a more authentic Celtic style.
10:50 Unfold that stock, greenhorn!
i love it every new movie we get i want it back i love the idea of thorn
Better and cooler darker idea than the last few movies where the rage is all because of his mask

There's fan cuts out there that do attempt to combine both.

The scene in the producer's cut where Mikey is chilling with cult members just makes me angry.
Holy shit, since when did that go that far up in price? I bought it at best buy in the bargain bin for $3 lol. Didn’t even know the difference
Here’s hoping for a UHD release 🤞
Can’t believe we were so close to having Michael X but it was taken from us. #PutMichaelInSpace
Sure fuc it why not lol
This comment should be pinned!
Dude that narrates this could probably do a solid Norm Macdonald impression.
Oh my. You're right. Halloween 6 is the movie that reveals that Michael Myers owns a doghouse.
Or a sober Christian Slater.
That Myers guy is a real jerk.
i wonder if he owns a doghouse
H20 is a good movie everyone compares it to scream since scream cameout in 96.
I've only seen the beginning where Jamie dies and after that I was like ef this shiz I'm out
I don’t know why some people don’t like it.. I absolutely LOVED HW6…. he was just ruthless, pure evil & his mask was way scarier. Also the whole Thorn storyline I enjoyed too
Every mask is better than the 5 version. Looked like a damn alien
I used to hate H6 but since 2015 or so I've loved it!!! Both versions but I prefer the pcut
@@arizonaFIREent PCut had a poor ending. The thorn should have been removed completely. Movie is great nonetheless
Because the thorn bullshit was shoehorned in 5 and they had to elaborate on the man in black. It's weird goofy shit.

THE ONE THAT GOT VAL KILMER IN IT.. for me,that movie really shaped me up to be a filmmaker .. please do it
I wouldn't be surprised if Halloween ends incorporates some of curse's themes. They did sneak in the title of the film in Halloween kills 😆
calling him a curse on Haddonfield isn't "sneaking a reference" of Halloween 6 into the movie....Its just calling him a curse.
Maybe, from this point forward, Hollywood will start getting these remakes or reboots right and give us some good horror films.
i wouldnt count on hollywood
fan films are the way to go
Funny thing is the director of this movie did some reshoots on Hellraiser Bloodline. Also I like how they tried to go back to things like witchcraft and rituals they just forgot how to make it work for a movie that steered away from it after part 3.
OMG! Hellraiser: Bloodline! I had totally forgot all about that Pinhead went to space!
My guy I'm ADDICTED to you channel
Best character is the Doctor - he’s always there to fight
Love Part 6. Actually scary and does a fantastic job of capturing that October, Halloween season feel.
As a 10 year old, I loved everything about this movie. Nowadays it's tough to get through...even the Producer's Cut.
I agree,as a 10,11 year old I was absolutely terrified of this movie. I still think it has the most brutal Micheal in the series but the story is garbage
I loved the Producer's Cut since I got a bootleg VHS two decades ago. The cult storyline might not be everyone's bag, but I thought it was fitting for Halloween (the day).
same the hunt for the Producers cut was always fun going to cons digging around for it i only got it a few years before the blu ray
H6 managed to balance the suspense and brutalism more successfully than Rob Zombie would many years later.
I remember seeing this on opening day..and people in the theater just made fun of it the entire time. Sad
I think the camera cuts and music (especially in directors cut) help lend to the uncomfortability
Why is there a random spike sticking out of the wall for Mikey to take advantage of?
@@scottyjbd you ask those questions but don’t ask how Michael is alive lol

The film is not the best, but it's a damn good hoot and holla 🎃🎬❤️
You're either one of two types of fan of this movie
1- The one that loves the senseless violence and couldn't care less about a plot or the directors cut
2- The one that needs answers, is willing to buy into the Pagan theme and loves the directors cut

I LOVED THIS ONE!!! WAS ONE OF BEST OUT OF THE SERIES.. In my opinion.
The shape turned demonic in this one,Jason level strength
The movie might have been bad but I found it entertaining lol.. I loved that scene when Michael slams that dudes face through the prison bars. I also liked the scene when Paul Rudd is trying to bust the door open with the fire extinguisher and Michael is coming at him! Michael seemed way more menacing in that movie than I remember him being prior!
Everyone found it entertaining, it’s just the plot that sucks.
I absolutely hated the producer's cut.
Love and respect to the Man, Donald Pleasance. Forever Dr. Loomis 🙏
I swear this narrator sounds like Norm Macdonald... which is a compliment!
Mannnn I remember my brother and I trying to so hard to locate that Producers Cut. Crazy that it's on Blu Ray now haha
This is one of the best ones that left a good ending to continue the story...............
I called this Michael “Super Michael Myers” due to his strength level increases and the fact he damn near started running at the end when chasing the 3 characters.
Be careful thier will be many shapes out killing this Halloween
my childhood memories of this film is odd I watched Halloween 5 as soon as it hit VHS that cliff hanger ending was brutal it seem like Halloween 666 took forever to finally get made (5-6yrs) that gap of time i’m sure effected the overall box office….
Lol sounds like you lived in my town while this was out haha Agree and relate to every thing you said man 👍
Halloween 6 Producers cut is the best in the franchise and the only one that makes sense. The franchise became a joke with the films after six though
I went to see this at a dollar theater with my mom and her friend. I promised to not be scared. I lied.
It leaves a sour taste what they did with Danielle Harris hearing what she put in to reprise her role :(
I'm in the camp of 'less is more' though.
They should have stuck with the Producer's Cut but make a few changes!
the man in black was not scareing people who saw UFO'S but he was the DR talking to Loomis in the original movie about Micheal's escape...only this time he was played by Mitchell Ryan who played Burke Devlin in Dark Shadows TV series.
The best things about this film is the really great Michael Myers mask and the head explosion kill. Oh, and introducing us to the eternally young Paul Rudd. Everything else is a huge mess. The Producer's Cut is more coherent and therefore a bit better than the theatrical version by default, but it's still terrible.
i know this movie has a crazy script and bad acting, but man i love this movie.
I seen it in theaters on my 10th birthday Sept. 30th 1995
Saw it then too but I was just 15!? Jesus that's crazy as I type this realizing I'm 42 in two weeks 😱 lolol how sad. And how I miss the 90s 😢
Regardless of the confusion, I still really like this one. Michael Myers is so damn intimidating and brutal, the actor played him very well. Unfortunate the plot got mixed up and had to ruin it but he was still a savage.
We need a real Halloween 7! Paul Rudd get to work! We need a proper sequel!
Should've left the scenes with Dr. Loomis & some that actually make sense.
Brilliant work yet again
Thanks ❤️
Theatrical cut will always be superior to me
Me too. it seems everyone loves the producers cut but I will take the theatrical cut anyday.
It sucked
The test audience was 15 year old boys! I mean….what?!?!
The theatrical release was way better than the Producer Cut in my opinion.
Fetus Aquarium sounds like a Gwar album.
I'm always seeing this movie's title at the Hot Topic hats and gear, and I'm like, WTF?
I love it. It’s one of my favorites. Especially the producers cut
I like it. #3, well, . #4 & #5 were o.k. but HW6 is a good follow up from #1 & #2. The Thorn explanation fits quite well.
Always wondered why it took 6 years to release this film after the 5th ended the way it did. It’s a shame they essentially blacklisted Danielle Harris which makes absolutely no sense, it’s not like she asked for hundreds of thousands let alone millions.
There's one kill scene that upset me as a kid. When he kills Kara's Mom with the axe by the clothesline. She looks A LOT like my grandmother.
the first ever halloween i've seen as a 13yrs old kid with my best friend. knowing nothing about halloween franchise, this part was quite a cool movie on it's own. i will always love it... but it's dumb tho. really deep and nice video! big ups
Yes, if you watch this movie as a different timeline and as it’s own it’s a very good movie. People just didn’t see it in that way.
Banning Halloween celebrations sounds like a good addition. You can then insert ‘secret’ Halloween party’s, disobedience and have police have more of a role in the movie. The cult thing was a bit out there, but without Pleasance alive, who knows how H20 would have turned out
They did Danielle, as well as Jamie, wrong!
Halloween 6 is the only movie I've seen in a theater where the audience booed.
I actually liked Halloween 6. I think because it was the last ride for Loomis.
Rewatched it last night (2018 cut) and miles better than what I watched as a kid 20 years ago. Only thing was Jamie’s barn death was better in the original cut
