I really don't get why people watch it, even the accidents aren't that interesting.
Gareth Baus I dont watch it myself and I have no idea why people would watch it on tv, but from what ive heard from other people the cars are traveling at upwards of 150 mph in what is basically a high speed traffic jam, and seeing that in person is insane, as well as a crash at that speed a camera definitely doesnt do it justice
Nitro NASCAR mandated restrictor plates to most major races in the late 80’s after a car crashed and went airborne into a fence at 200mph. Restrictor plates limit the speed of cars to about ~190mph. That’s why you get those high speed traffic jams in modern NASCAR, because everyone is going the same speed. I think the sport was a lot more entertaining before restrictor plates were used, the races were a lot more dynamic.

Watching this in hindsight, it's easy to see how Scraps made the eventual turn to overconsumption of alcohol and grain feed. He was called up too fast and had no one in his corner to teach him how to ball on AND off the court. His mother eventually took all his money and he's been seen performing for donkeyshows around the country to pay for his habits. Donovan Scraps :A top tier donkeyball player destined for the big game, or a despondent grain abuser wasting away the American tax dollar?
