I totally agree Thomas, I love Matt Jardine’s voice, he definitely has a great voice like his father but what’s really cool is that he has his own voice, I’m not sure if a lot of people can notice it but I definitely can. I play bass guitar & fretless bass.
I'm absolutely 100% sure that Matt has a very PROUD father indeed! What a thrill it must be to see your son carry on a long standing tradition as being part of America's band.
Brian is surely so glad to have a big-time backup singer (who can hit all the high notes that Al and Brian are too old to hit) come in and it's someone who is truly part of the Beach Boys Family and blood.....
Mattt is brilliant. His voice adds so much and he breaths in a bit off life and energy that makes it all new again. Anyone ready to go back to 1970 or so?
Matt is being way too humble here… I saw him perform recently in Philadelphia with the pet sounds tour and he was phenomenal! I appreciated him being there because, as another commentor has mentioned, he is making it possible for Brian's beautiful music to continue. I also met Al Jardine after the show… What a gentleman… Total class act. This is one of the most enjoyable evenings I've had in a long time… and I go to a lot of shows.
When I see what Alan, Brian, and Matt have done, I'm SICKENED by what Mikey HATE has done. (Sorry, Mike "Love,") Tried to sue Brian and Alan, for using the name, The Beach Boys! Suing Brian Wilson, for being one of The Beach Boys? Suing Alan, and Matt? Yes, I would wish something to happen to Mikey HATE, but I'll let Miss Karma do her stuff. Oh, I've only been a Beach Boys fan, since the late '60's. My '70 Roadrunner wasn't even built back then. Brian and Al, would have liked that car. Almost as fast as a "Little Deuce Coupe." Would have blown the doors off of the "Little Old Lady, from Pasadena's" Dodge! steve

Matt, you have helped breathe life into what can only be called an institution known as the Beach Boys. Countless dare I say millions will hear that legendary sound thanks to you helping perpetuate it. An unbelievable sound, started so long ago continues! We are very very lucky! Thanks
What a humble guy, He was fantastic when we saw him. great voice and fits right in with Brian's music. I bet Al & Brian couldn't be more proud to have him in the band.
Believe it or not, Brian and he did not hit it off at first, but after he heard with that amazing music talent he had, Matt's ability to especially blend, Brian taught Matt how to sing Brian's Hi Notes in with Brian to kind of give Brian that old 60's sound. Now , as of the last time I saw Brian, Al & Matt are indispensable. Al what a proud Pap Pa..........
Matt is such a great guy and talent in his own rights. I think you could call this video "Things Mike Love would do well to say". Brian was and is the mastermind of the Beach Boys sound and I am glad that he is back to performing. He really seems like he is at peace performing again.
Where to begin!! Matt Jardine is the next best thing since sliced bread🎶❤️🎵 I’m grateful you share that with them, so you need to keep the songs alive. #BrianWilson🎵 #MattKade🎶
It's so pleasant to hear Matt talk about how he grew up and into who he is now. He seems really down to earth, stable and mentally completely healthy. Having grown up the way he did that could have ended entirely differently.
I think Matt add"s so much to the Beachboy"s and keeping that harmony that made them the # 1 band in America and to me still our the # 1 band in America thank God for the genius talent of Brian Wilson, the leader of the greatest band that ever played The Fabulous BEACH BOY,S
I recently saw Matt with Brian Wilson and Al Jardine on the Pets tour. Absolutely blew me away. The most surreal situation that I got to see and hear these legends on a dodgy car park venue in Digbeth, Birmingham UK. All absolutely gave it everything; the eve was cold and wet and it felt like California. Surreal, wonderful, an absolute privilege and a life long memory made. I'm working with underprivileged kids in music and the humility of these guys that night was amazing and the stories will be passed on to the kids I work with.
These guys are amazing! Matt fits right in. What a dream. Getting to not only work w/the legendary Brian Wilson, but also work with w/his Papa. I'm a little jealous about both. Especially being able to create w/one's Daddy.
Wow. What an incredible, humble young man Matt is. I was assuming he would hopefully be courteous and appreciative. He absolutely nailed all those traits I (we!) was hoping he would have!
Matt is so unbelievably talented!! The video of him singing the falsetto parts on Sloop John B with his dad, Brian a bunch other musicians in the studio. Outstanding!
Saw the Beach Boys back in '65. They seem to be more than a hit group. Their relationship has survived all these years, unlike many other groups. England may have started with the Beatles but in California, I got to start with the Beach Boys.
Great interview I really liked the questions and I admired his honesty about how scary it was and how it wasn't just this awesome wonderful experience.
Matt sounds like a natural Beach Boy when he sings. His dad must be one of the proudest fathers around to watch your baby boy grow up and then to be on stage with you performing to the world.Wow.
He was a bully all 4 years of High School well when he went... Pepe stood up to him, Immigration picked him up during class never to be seen again rumor had it the Jardines had something to do with that... Jardines are more vicious than the Clintons but hey you continue to admire a jerk
Saw Brian in London on 1st August. Hats off to Matt - I thought he carried the show, and his dad sounded really good too, especially for a guy of his age.
As a former singer, I can relate to Matt’s comments on being terrified! 😂 He does an absolutely wonderful job and is such a humble and down to earth performer…love it. ❤️
I had no idea this guy is Al Jardine's son. I saw another video of him singing Wouldn't it Be Nice and thought how great he sounded. But him being "in the family" (so to speak) makes it pretty darn cool.
I saw Blondie Al and Brian in Birmingham and Matt did much of the heavy lifting vocally but in a very discreet way. Great Show/music/band and vocals and I was delighted by Blondie's contribution.
Having another Jardine in the Brian Wilson band keeps The Beach Boy family tradition going. I prefer Matt to Jeff. Jeff's falsetto is just far too overpowering. Brian's band is much better than 'The Beach Boys'.
Jeff's voice though mixed very well with Brian's and I prefer Matt's but it is a bit higher than Brian's was on these classic songs. Also Jeff choosing to join Mike Love's tour after Love pretty much booted Brian and Al was interesting because Jeff had toured with Brian so so long.
Sounds from the interview that he's a good bloke. I really do like his vocals and stage performance, and thank him for keeping the Beech Boys going longer.
Contrast Matt Jardine, with Mike "Love." One shows true Love, one has the WORST last name EVER! Alan, Matt and Brian, 2 of you have been in my life for over 50 years. Matt, GREAT addition! steve
Pride of Carmel High School. Listen to Timothy B. Schmidt’s new song “Simple Man”. That’s Matt on the background harmonies. He has grown into quite a career as a background vocalist. I’m ready for him to do some solo work.
I'd like to add, that near the end when he said that ultimately, he's there to support (backup) Brian and his dad, I thought he's the guy to carry reins!
This is the ver of BB I wanna see. Brian is my fav. I did see Mike Love a few years back & thought he was rather flaky. I will have to wait some more as we don't get good acts near my town but once every few decades.
Matt Jardine is the 8th Beach Boy in my Opinion. Brian Wilson Carl Wilson Dennis Wilson Al Jardine Mike Love David Marks Bruce Johnston and Matt Jardine
Matt has a beautiful voice, making the high falsetto fresh again. Brian has put together a great band of wonderfully supportive musicians.
I totally agree Thomas, I love Matt Jardine’s voice, he definitely has a great voice like his father but what’s really cool is that he has his own voice, I’m not sure if a lot of people can notice it but I definitely can. I play bass guitar & fretless bass.

he tries so hard and cares so much about the music and is still humble.. THIS GUY!
"Don't Worry Baby" is in good hands into the future! Matt Jardine nails it!
Also, Wouldn't it Be Nice!
Just nice to see the songs live on,no matter who or how.
Brian is surely so glad to have a big-time backup singer (who can hit all the high notes that Al and Brian are too old to hit) come in and it's someone who is truly part of the Beach Boys Family and blood.....

I'm glad he's there to support Brian and Al. He seems like a good natured person much like Carl Wilson was.
Matt is the only one other than Brian who I want to sing Don't Worry Baby.. it's a sacred experience.
Kate Quinn well put!
I love Brian and Matt singing and I adore The Everly Brothers take on Don't Worry Baby too.
@@raymondgill9796 I wasn't aware of the Everly Brothers recording before - very nice

I saw him with his dad, Brian Wilson and Blondie Chaplin in Indiana back in July. Matt helped carry that concert. He was simply, noticeably fantastic.
It's so pleasant to hear Matt talk about how he grew up and into who he is now. He seems really down to earth, stable and mentally completely healthy. Having grown up the way he did that could have ended entirely differently.

Great interview, total respect for Matt, his dad Al Jardine always a class act.

Matt- is very talented musically.!! I ❤ his singing alot........... So lucky hes with Brian + Al forever!!!

Matt Does A great Job and Is A Class Act
Matt was such a great addition to the group!
Al and Brian have talented children. Their parents have to be great people to raise such wonderful children. Thank you Wilsons and Al.

Appreciate your loyal and your talent, Matt.
Matt slayin' those vocals!
You can really tell he is Alan's son....looks just like him.
Matt admits it was hard, being a BB roadie during his high school summers, etc., but I for one would have loved to do the job he does. Kudos!
I saw Matt at a BW concert. He was phenomenal,
Matt is like a combination of Al and Brian. He looks like Al but can sing a sweet falsetto like Brian, it isn't nails on a chalk board like Jeff.
Having another Jardine in the Brian Wilson band keeps The Beach Boy family tradition going. I prefer Matt to Jeff. Jeff's falsetto is just far too overpowering. Brian's band is much better than 'The Beach Boys'.

Matt sound like a high pitched Al but can sound very much like Brian at times. Brian taught Matt on how to do his falsetto's
I like both Jeff and Matt

Love it!
Sounds from the interview that he's a good bloke. I really do like his vocals and stage performance, and thank him for keeping the Beech Boys going longer.
Matt is Great
He's a natural!
Matt Jardine is a good falsetto vocalist. Who do you think is a better falsetto vocalist him or Jeff Foskett?
So he's the guy that got my dream job.
Youre a Badass, Matt!
The apple does not fall far from the tree. Matt is a chip off the old block like his Dad. Humble. Good man.
