Brian Wilson is most certainly up on that stage. You can hear him speak just before the video stops. Matt has been singing this song regularly on Brian's shows. And Al has been touring with them. There is no misinformation in the video description. Not sure why so many people are having a hard time understanding this in the comments section...
You're right. The description says Brian is there. It doesn't say he's in the frame of the video. You can see his piano, with the usual apple shaker on the piano, and he's speaking at the end. I've seen this band twice this year. There should be no controversy here.
Let's be fair. The vid is titled "Brian Wilson..." and one watches for over three minutes before a glimpse of Brian (God bless him) at the very end. Yes, the great master created this classic, and he is physically present on the stage. But Matt Jardine is certainly doing the heavy lifting here. Nice job, Matt. And thank you, Brian, for giving us "America's Band."
The Beach Boys no longer have any of that DNA! The Brian Wilson Band now has it all! Yes, The Beach Boys were my favourite band, until mikey "love" sued his cousins for the name. Now, Brian's band is the "one." Yes, Matt KILLS IT! steve
I like how Matt kinda shows relief/disbelief that he pulled it off. Beautiful voice, I think he does a marvelous job of keeping his uncles and dad's music alive.
I'd look to Alan for approval, too! The Jardine family is doing more for the Brian Wilson experience, than the "love" family. (Who can look at Mikey, and think "love!") steve
Oh my, Matt Jardine, what a great job you do belting out this anthem !! In interviews, you modestly state, "I fill in for some of the guys on lead vocals when they're a bit tired." How neat to have your dad, the great Al Jardine, standing right beside you strumming along with great harmonies. Keep it going, Matt, Brian Wilson and the entire recording and touring team. My wife and kids remain enthralled with the music...
I saw Matt sing this song (Don't Worry, Baby), back in the mid-90's, in Lakeland, Florida. I didn't realize it was him, until years later. Matt you have an awesome voice and you really nailed this song! (My favorite all-time song.) I have suffered from depression for years, but THIS SONG has helped me through, some of the roughest times in my life!
and the best to you CJ.! I hope you are doing well. This song sends chills and I also find myself foraging through RUclips for a quick pick-me-up. This is one of the all time greats, thanks to Brian Wilson!
CJ, this one, In My Room, and Surfer Girl are the ones for me. Also a few Jimmy B songs. One Particular Harbor, Fruitcakes, and the collaborations, It's Five O'clock somewhere, and Knee Deep. When I was a kid, I'd put a stack of Beach Boys albums on the turntable next to my bed, turn the volume completely off, and listen to the needle/ disc interface, as I was going to sleep. Completely ruined quite a few discs that way. BUT, it WORKED! steve
I feel so good watching this video !!! That's my favorite Beach Boys song and Matt Jardine really mastered it in that live perfromance. His dad looks as happy as can be, as well as his bandmates. Blessings from San Juan PR !!!
My wife and I saw Brian last month and when Matt started singing this song the audience cheered (just like in this video). It sent shivers up my spine and my eyes got a little moist.
Although the Beatles dominated my life as a teenager....and the Charts, the Beach boys were absolutely brilliant, and as I get older I realize I did not pay them as much attention and respect as they were due. Thank you so much Beach Boys.
@@davidrichards6603 73.....but still as inverted as ever....37. I just don't know what happened to all the time and all the people I knew??? Where has it, and they....all gone? Many are dead....it all seems so extraordinary, and yet I am still here.
They still bring tears to my eyes. Those were wonderful days, and I very much miss all my old friends who are either dead, or scattered all over the world. It was all magic.
I went and saw Brian Wilson at a winery in Saratoga, Ca. a few years ago (opening act - Rodriguez ♥️) and was treated to the beautiful rendition of "Don't Worry Baby" by Matt Jardine. Al was also there, playing in the band. Sigh. It was a wonderful show.
I wrote that comment middle of the night. They aren't his uncles!! Sorry everybody. But what a legacy of music to keep alive. What an awesome privilege .
I dont know how this happened i always new Al had great voice and Wow his son does as well and as we all can see he is fantastic on this song if i closed my eyes i would swear this was a young Brian Wilson.. just fantastic...Matt...
(One of the simplest yet sweetest song verses ever. .) . .She makes me come alive, and makes me wanna drive when she says - . don't worry, baby, everything will turn out alright..don't worry, baby. .
The sixties were my teen years, starting work, joining the Army and this just brought it back to me. Tears in my eyes. So many good things back then which I left behind all those years ago. Must be (I am!!) getting old. This is as good as it was back then. Matt must be a reincarnation. Beautiful voice.
Brian Wilson has some of the best musicians in his bands. Brian may not always be in tune but you can believe his band is tight and the vocals out of Matt and Alan are awesome !
Wow Al! You probably don’t remember when we spent the day hanging out together at Gonzaga when you guys were making your first comeback in ‘71 But time flies Many blessings from one Dad to another Nick

That's right - Matt is spotlighted, while Brian is out of the shot, on left on piano.
And how would you know all that information, are looking for an award !
A glimpse and he wrote the song, that is sick !
Notice when he hits the high notes the audience cheer and say “woo!” Matt is extremely talented. In my heart he is a Beach Boy in and out
Proud father Al and his awesome MATT!!
Matt Jardine is an outstanding vocalist.
absolutely terrific jeeeezus
Will second that Eddie. Just brilliant
al jardine must be so proud of his son! he nails the falsetto every performance!
Matt nailed this with his vocals.
He s twice as big , wow, his mother is tall then???, Al is so small.
Agree
I don't know how Matt can be similar to Brian's voice AND still be original all at the same time!!! Incredible!!! Matt - you're an amazing singer!!!
agree!!..
Agree!
Simple he grew up around very talented singers!!
Beautiful job Matt Jardine. You have the DNA and soul of the Beach Boys in you.
The Beach Boys no longer have any of that DNA!
The Brian Wilson Band now has it all!
Yes, The Beach Boys were my favourite band,

I'm 58,I will NEVER forget these guys!
Matt Jardine gets even more talented with age. Proud papa moment I'm sure. This was delightful.
Great vocals by Matt. He has really stepped up. His dad and Brian just be very proud of him..
I like how Matt kinda shows relief/disbelief that he pulled it off. Beautiful voice, I think he does a marvelous job of keeping his uncles and dad's music alive.
Man that was flawless, amazing from Matt.
thank god matt is with brian and his dad. excellent vocals
MATT KNEWS ALL THE LYRICS AND SOUNDS EVEN BEFORE HE WAS BORN--AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!
Matt likes the applause but I love how he looks for his Dad's approval.
He's Humble, & Some Son's & Daughters Respect there Parents, & Appreciate there Approval when they do stuff that's pleasing to there Parents.
I'd look to Alan for approval, too!

Matt's outstanding. One of the best songs ever too
Thank you. Beautiful. So glad there is no Mike here.
absolutely nailed the vocals
Matt has been singing this since he was 2 Practice makes perfect.
Man, watching either Jeff Foskett or Matthew do these challenging falsettos so well is incredible.
Matt the best of the Brian Wilson and gang
@Scott Grudziadz I 1000% disagree, but why even make a dumb, spiteful comment like that?
Fantastic
Matt does it better.
@legendaryTMNICO That's subjective. It depends on what set and our own prefs. I love them both on this one, and I'd say they're just different.
Matt.... wonderful job. Brian so talented
Beautiful. Matt Jardine is the man!

Matt's has a fabulous voice.

Matt's vocals are legit. Nicely done...
I feel so good watching this video !!! That's my favorite Beach Boys song and Matt Jardine really mastered it in that live perfromance. His dad looks as happy as can be, as well as his bandmates.

Unbelievable performance from Matt.
My wife and I saw Brian last month and when Matt started singing this song the audience cheered (just like in this video). It sent shivers up my spine and my eyes got a little moist.
My wife also gets a little moist listening to the BB's (cough, cough)
Matt Jardine is Angelic, oh that voice 💜🎵🎤🎵💜🎤🎶🎵🎶🎵
Spooky! Matt is keeping the BB sounds alive!
Although the Beatles dominated my life as a teenager....and the Charts, the Beach boys were absolutely brilliant, and as I get older I realize I did not pay them as much attention and respect as they were due. Thank you so much Beach Boys.
So True..you must be as old as me ( ie" 76?)

@@davidrichards6603 74, but I was corrupted by popular music quite early in life. It is genetic, where I come from.
Beach Boys are incredible. Listen to their “Sunflower” album. So much of their material has been overlooked due to Pet Sounds hype.
Damn...he's GOOD!!
Wow! Perfect voice!!!
Matt is excellent. This song is excellent and reminiscent of Silence is Golden.
Matt is the best of doing those high parts just like Brian did.

I cannot thank you enough
Matt singing this gives me goosebumps. Such a talent, it must be in the genes.

Great great job Matt performing one of Brian's classics!
Wow, I'm impressed. Matt can sing.
BarneyFife00 thanks to Auto tune on his left hip, sure lol
B T that’s a wireless mic pack
Benjamin Tutton what a stupid comment. He’s controlling his IEMs
Matt will be on stage for many years . Or so I hope.
It does really sound like he's on autotune in 2:40 and 2:48

Experience is a great teacher! Matt nails it as a vocalist! Wishing him many more happy, healthy, blessed years performing on stage with the BB’s!😊❤😊

MATT JARDINE IS A BEACH BOY. - Look up his life story. He EARNED the awesome name of A BEACH BOY.
He was a fill in.
Matt's lineage and talent certainly make him a Beach Boy!
Him and Jeffrey Fosket are a real beach boy
Matt Jardine is cut from the same cloth as the rest of the Beach Boys
Literally cut from his dad, Al.
He wasn't abused by a Murry though
Yes
Matt sounds great!!
Wow!! Sounds awesome!! Didn't realize they were touring
Brian Wilson has some of the best musicians in his bands. Brian may not always be in tune but you can believe his band is tight and the vocals out of Matt and Alan are awesome !
