That's a top session. We'll impressed. Beautiful fish . Amazing film. And what a man. Top one Simon. Hopefully see you soon on the bank. Have a catch up with the lads 😊😊😊
Great video, very informative and packed full of fish, the Mirror was an absolute stunner too. I know this was a year ago but, what was your Rod / Reel set up ??? Looked very nice and well balanced 👌 you only mentioned 10LB line. Would be interested to know 🤔 if you remember 🤔. Were they Drennan rods ?? To be honest I only ever had one Drennan rod, I had it for a long long time too, it was a Cygnus Carbon uptide rod, it was an absolute beauty to fish with and landed many many fish including cod 20LB + back in the day. Again great watch, thanks in advance for info if you can help 🙏. Cheers mate Les.
I use the original whopper dropper Gavin , I’ve tried all brands and models for the last 25 years and this one is by far the best In my opinion…… I bought my first to use in Ireland in the 90’s . The key is to keep the balls the size of a snooker ball and you can hit 60-70 yards no problem 😉
Its ian from rosewater, now you have that number i got ya earlier deffo get ya name down on the list, whatever the waiting list is it will be 1 or 2 years max and will be worth the wait fella trust me,see ya on the bank again sometime
Nice work Simon, some lovely fish in there. Should be on it in the next couple of weeks.
Great video Simon and well presented, good to see a local lad doing well in course fishing

Id be interested to know how your tactics change from what youre using now as you move into summer time?
Brilliant editing/filming , you look amazing but do you have a permit for those guns 💪🏻 😂
😂 💪🏿
All guns in the video are fully licensed 😂
Some nice tench on show but they looked bang average next to that chaps guns 😂 ....what catapult was he using to get those groundbait balls out?

Does the bar run all the way down to the bottom corner (not the marina end the other end)

Simon,what reels are you using?
Shimano loncast medium pits
Brilliant video now these specimen series. Just out of curiosity what was the TC of the rods?😁
2lb buddy , the mk 1 distance tench and bream rods
@@simonashton7032 heavier then I thought tbh!
@@connorcgs they’re just the job for lobbing out heavy feeders at range and controlling big fish
@@simonashton7032 ah I see, I currently have the drennan specialist 1lb dual tip, will this be to light for fishing for specimen sized tench?
I’d step them up to at least 1.75 if it’s big tench your targeting.
Tench far less impressive than the gun show / tan
