Thats because angling is an art form. It's hard to catch fish without knowing what you're doing.

Great video buddy and that lake where you have not had the big one is a super hard venue, but it has some dream fish in there. Tight lines

I can totally empathise with that pre-bite story!
I also use a paternoster rig for my live baiting and I use small loafer myself, but let it sit flat on the surface. It means it doesnt take much to see some movement from the livebait, a little shart nudge causes a ripple. And then when it stands up you know you're close. When it dips hard that's your take.
Mekes me excited just thinking about it!

Love that bobbing of the float when live baiting. I imagine the baitfish doesn't quite feel the same as I do, though, as it's anchored, unable to escape the approaching Pike or Perch!! 🤔😂

i’ve only just come across your videos and i must say they’re really good 🙂,tight lines man
PS i 🤔/know the reason why your ❤ flutters when you see a BIG 😳 perch in your 30/40/50s is it brings back that boyhood feeling of WOW look at that with a 10/12oz perch 🙂,i’ve mainly been a carp angler for 25+ years but recently i’ve started being an all rounder again,to the point of having to buy new kit lol and get the rust out 😁,happy days, also i’ll be off fly 🎣 fairly soon also🙂,something i haven’t done for 35 years 😁.
