- This easy fix will make your car cabin silent and Rattle free. It's a simple DIY , in my car the doors make very irritating sound and at first i cant find the source of the sound , Now i find it and finally fixed it.
Rattles are prone to every car as it ages. This video will give an idea on how to fix those small rattles ourselves. This adhesive tape can be used on other areas also.

1/4 inch irrigation tubing works better for this. You need about 4 feet per door and it slides right in between both sides of gasket. Much easier and cleaner install.
how do you do it? I got what you suggested but doesn't fit my nissan rogue 2017 my gasket is too tight for it to fit in between!!

Hi Ric, the Big D type seal does not have a length mentioned. Can u please help with that as well.
Big d can be used on doors , trunk, bonnet, etc , measure the length on your car that you wanted to install and buy, also please read the video description, and watch type p and z videos on my channel to get an overall idea.
Do anybody know how to do this kind of work in the Washington DC area?
A smart way to cut that clean is clean your back window spotless spray it with soapy water like a tinter would do slice it into a peace slightly smaller wide then you need, then install it and let it dry off by removing the water with a blow dryer the tape will stick and stay put and you won't see jagged edges from the scissors.

Does EPS steering of kwid comes back to straight position after turn?
I usually loosens the grip and it comes back to straight position.
But In my kwid its not happening.
Hi, yes in Kwid the steering is not fully return to normal position like other cars easily, but once I adjusted to it no problem faced..

+John Rahul , to make payment we need debit card that has chip in front of it. And check whether your debit card enabled for international transactions.thats all.. Hi, I don't understand fully, yes some cars even it's cheap or expensive the rubber beading makes some noise , first need to find out from which area the sound comes , I applied this tape and sound goes,
If that not works it's good to dampen your car doors with sound deadening sheets to remove rattles and to reduce cabin noise. NVH levels will improve..

Can u please tel us how much seal is required all the door damping and how much effective was it when u installed it.
Hi, Each seal is type p, d and z is for different areas of the door,trunk etc, so just measure the length of the area you wanted to install it and buy accordingly, read the video description for more details please.
It's very effective in my case, before there is plenty of dirt accumulates on the door sills of my car but now no such issues, many cars have this already installed from factory, kwid don't have enough ,so I installed myself, overall nvh also increased little bit.

And one more question? The material looks fairly tight, is there any chance that it scratches the painted metal?
Hi, It lasts for more than a year in my car, the product will hold up pretty well, the surface is soft so no issues faced ... Before applying this tape put it on sunlight for some time to heat up and for good adhesion.

Bro my kwid car doors (driver and passenger) have started rattling when windows are up, when they are down rattle disappears. Did you have the same problem?
Yes , I have faced this problem and after fixing some tape like in the video it reduced but I think the glass is loose and it's vibration makes the sound..
I even opened my car door and drove, the sound disappears even with glass up. I think it's the felt of the door that's rubbing with the metal. I've ordered the tape, lets see if it fixes it. The service center people were unable to fix it, they just tightened the frame of the glass, opening up the panel, but the noise persists. Also someone suggest using some kind of grease, applying it on the felt and the metal so that there is no friction.

Cleaned the felt today with towel, some improvement, but the felt velvet is gone, it's bald. Ordered this tape from Amazon, will come in a few days

Fabric tape is not going to work long term. Once the fabric gets wet, it's going to get MOLDY and start to stink and decompose. That's precisely why you don't see fabric, among many other materials, on the outside of cars. It can't stand up to the elements. This is why automotive engineers design cars and not people who haven't much idea what they are doing.

Hmm, well that's good to hear that you haven't had any issues with mold. I would "smell" check it every now and then. If it does go bad, just replace or seek a more durable material, one that's proven to stand up to the harsh elements the outside of our cars have to.

It's a simple adhesive tape , you can use it on places that rattle , dashboard,boot,parcel tray, door pads .. etc .. to remove rattles..

The rubber supposed to make contact to the door to make the seal around the door and prevents water coming in. That tape defeats the purpose. You want real fix. Replace the worn old rubber

After putting the adhesive cloth there and after washing your car, you don't get any water seeping through because you've only applied half the door and there must be a gap where the rubber starts back again.

Why don't you all complain renault service center, if you all are facing same sound issues then there must be some manufacturer or part suppliers fault, renault will recall all the cars and replace door rubber to solve the problem
Rattles are common issue in vehicles whether it's a cheap car or expensive one like mercedes.. I expected Kwid to rattle more as it is a low budget car.but it pretty well holding up.my previous car rattles every inch and corner , so this is not a serias problem for me..

Not all rubber beading makes sound , but in kwid the rubber beading gets heated and then it makes the irritating sound. Cheap quality beading may be the reason..
