We had a great year, been a Lion fan for 60 years and actually bought Super Bowl tickets in November feeling very confident! So I’m very disappointed in what happened last week but we as fans have to be thrilled at what happened to our Lions this year as it was a great year and they were fun to watch! Everyone talked about them all year as never before at least in my lifetime ! Let’s appreciate what they brought us and stand behind them and hope for even better years ahead!
well i think we can safely say that he wasnt lying about Maxx - we dont know if he called about Maxx specifically but the Raiders flat out said he is not available, and that aligns with what BH said. This position is extremely valuable and hard to come by for elites so I can see nobody coming up off those players, theyd have to be DESPERATE to let those guys go, at least I think.
the free agency market for D-Ends is not good this year. the only one that i really like is Josh Sweat. Other than that i wouldnt bother. This draft class is elite for edge rushers. Keep Z, draft an edge in the first round would be my plan. Mike Green and Jack Sawyer are my top 2 we should target.

2025 should be the year Brad goes ballistic on the edge rushers, Aidan is top 3 if not 1st, draft Mike Green, he’s had 22 sacks with a 23% win rate. He’s more of a TJ Watt build, 6’ 4” 250-60lbs, has a brutal spin, chop, swim, bend, makes self skinny to fit thought lanes, and blazing fast. Look up Mike Green, he’s a TJ Watt and Aidan combined.

People need to be realistic when it comes to trading mid season. We can’t just trade for a guy because we want him. Before the injuries our defense and pass rush was not that bad. Idk what they expect Brad Holmes to do mid season. Early in the season nobody wants to trade because they still think they have hope. Saying he didn’t wanna part with certain things for a pass rusher is a big assumption.

I think the myriad of injuries too the line paired with the expense and level of difficulty involved with trading will push him to be better at drafting on the line and paying solid fit players in FA. I'm not at all happy with a first round playoff loss but if it tips the scale and gets him to start making moves to create a SB caliber D I can live with it.
