For me, when Sheila fired Quinn and Patricia, I felt a ray of hope emerging.
It's turned into a brilliant, bright, sunny Lion world!
    Thank you, Sheila!

Quinn and Patricia were finessing the old lady with the 'nice boys' routine. Sheila saw them exactly for what they were. Losers.

This was an absolute GUTs OUT RE-BUILD...3-13 to 15 -2. That didn't happen magically. And the courage to do a gut and rebuild and NOT Waiver, with the press constantly calling you out. This was so much harder then I think anyone of us can imagine. It took faith and time.

You all deserve it! I'm happy for the city of Detroit. My wife is from Detroit but she start watching football because of me and now she leans with Atlanta but I told her 3 years ago she might want to jump on her home city train. She cheers for them when as a secondary team. It's my fault LOL! Thanks for watching the video!

@@tedwitus My Dad always said they'd probably put together a Super Bowl caliber team when he died. Unfortunately that came to fruition almost 2 years ago! I hope he's got the best seat in the house to watch the LIONS and His RED WINGS!

My lady used to work at Ford Field. She was disabled, so she worked the elevators to the parking lots. She always greeted the fans with a welcoming smile. She loved the team, especially Calvin. She passed away in April of 2022. When they won on Sunday, I cried for her. She would have really loved the new team.

I just love this organization, so very well put together. When i pinch myself it HURTS !. From the office to the Coaches to the players, everything is 100%. I love the fact that if your a player looking for a paycheck dont look at Detroit. Detroit is looking for players that want to earn a paycheck. This team is absolutely for real. Thank you Sheila Ford Hamp, Chris speilman, Brad Holmes, Dan " the man " Campbell. " WOW " Coach Campbell should hands down get Coach of the year

    Thanks for this video Maurice. A couple things to add to your timeline;
2021 - the Lions started the season 0 - 10 - 1, then winning three of their last six games.
2022 - they started the season 1 - 6 prompting Sheila Ford Hamp to hold a press conference reinforcing her support for Brad and Dan. The Lions won eight of their last ten games including a season ending win in Green Bay to knock the Packers out of the playoffs. EVEN THOUGH THE LIONS WERE ALREADY OUT OF THE PLAYOFFS AND SUPPOSEDLY HAD NOTHING TO PLAY FOR!
IMO, that game was (and always will be) the defining game of Dan Campbell’s career. After that game there was no doubt where this franchise was headed. Should have made the SB last year, and it is looking good for this year. Still a ways to go, but I have faith that it will happen under the current leadership.

    • @michaeljones436

They also fired their OC midseason and brought in Ben Johnson then won 8 of their last 10 games. Derailing Kansas on opening night the next season in Kansas and on their Super Bowl Banner Hanging Night!!!! That was awesome!!!

Hemp, Holmes, & Campbell told us early on what they were going to do and how they were going to do it.
They kept their word, performing precisely as advertised.
And now the proof is in the pudding.
Their method ought to be the way EVERYONE builds & maintains an organization - any and every organization, whatever the mission.

It’s hard to win. It’s hard. To get where you have is a testament of hard work. The refurbishing and to this 2024 season resonates with, if someone goes down, another steps up. Playing with the injury list and winning. Dan knows, ask any of those players/fans/organization from 2008. It’s hard and should be appreciated. Dan Campbell-Staff-et al amazing work amazing results. All those lean years here you are shining bright. Appreciate this because things can change in an instant. One thing for sure the fans have always been fans. If in doubt look at the emotion when losing and the emotion when winning. Emotion is passion released.✌️🏈

@@mauricejhicks It sure looks like he's turning things around here in Colorado. I ain't changing colors though. ☺ I didn't care for the events of BountyGate, but am willing to hear people I respect, like DC, still speak highly of Payton. Nothing wrong with having an opinion educated and updated. Your episode really laid out where and how the front office core group came together. It's such a wonderful story. Why did people (looking at you, Stephen A. Smith, Max Kellerman) lay scorn on the choice of Campbell as coach and question his pedigree?? His pedigree was quite clearly strong and on display. I'm glad he's proved them all wrong.

Before Sheila took over I was praying the FORDS would sell the LIONS! I'm 53 years old... 46-47 years of that I've been a LIONS FAN. When I saw Dan Campbells 1st news interview, I was immediately on board. Holmes, Campbell along with upper management, assistant coaches, scouts and trainers have put together not just a great team, but a Legacy! Before they draft players they interview, test and analyze every aspect of their game, attitude and life on and off the field! If they don't meet their ideas of a coachable, smart, athletic and grit driven player and person, they don't want you... I've always loved my LIONS, but now, I actually like them again!

The key is that Sheila was given control and stepped up, got rid of the right people and then knew to pick Brad Holmes. Who informed her? Was she already knowledgeable of football people who know coaching and picking athletic talent. Was it Chris Spielman? From the outside football fans knew Brad Holmes's had a prosperous history with the Rams. Us Detroit Lions fans didn't have any confidence in the Lions organization at that time to pick management personnel after letting Caldwell go as coach and choosing M. Patricia. She and Brad arranged letting M. Stafford go to the Rams getting Goff along with 1st round draft picks versus him walking without the Lions getting anything. Maybe the plan was to choose Brad Holmes' to then do this deal and move the Lions forward. I give her a lotta credit for Our Lions good fortune.
