This was PERFECT!!! I just did that to my bike. Sounds awesome!!!! I used a 2 3/4 hole saw and it was a perfect fit. Also, don't forget the fuel management to get the increased HP and it will also stop the backfires and lag.
Holy smokes that sounds like a totally different bike. I'm not sure I want to do it to 07 classic, but if I do I'm very thankful that you posted this video
Picking up a 2009 900 Classic LT this coming Saturday. Thank you so much for taking the time to make and post this video, it will help me and others tremendously! Happy Trails and yes, I did like and subscribe!
Hey I really have to thank you! I love my 2011 Vulcan 900 but it really was too quiet. I just did this today and it sounds so so much better. I dont think I would've done this without seeing your video so big fat thumbs up, thank you.
@@HeyJacobRS a few beers and as many friends. For me weakening the welds was the most frustrating. It really helped to remove as much metal as you can so that you can move the pipe around as much as possible. Or at least bend it out of the way. It took me at least 20 minutes of non stop "wiggling" to finally free it. You'll start to feel less resistance and you know you're close. Large vice grips helped. I'm not naturally mechanically inclined so it took me longer to complete this. But just be persistent. Definitely worth the effort.
i did mine just the other day sounds awesome and when i took it for test ride it seemed to me that it did increase the performance seemed like it was faster for sure
I’ve de baffled my 2011 VN900 and it sounds a lot better.. but just out of curiosity dose anyone know if the Vance & Hines pipes are louder or the same. Thanks
We removed the baffles on a 2010 Vulcan 900 classic and now it sputters & bogs when your giving throttle. Please help. We've changed plugs, new air filter. Please help?!?
Bad gasket on one of the exhaust. Bent it around and broke it near the engine I would assume. Air being sucked in would definitely cause it to do the listed
hey quick question, as far as changing oil screen. If you have ALREADY did the oil change, is it too late to change screen the day after, as I filled her up with oil already? i am worried that fresh oil will come out at this point, or is it a seperate compartment?

Awesome thanks
How exactly did you go about getting it out?

Curiosity.. dont you loose any power? At high revolutions ?
Wow! What a world of difference my friend! Too bad i already put Vance and Hines on mine. But your pipes do sound beefy now! 👍😎🇺🇸
I'd love a set a set of Vance pipes but budget says otherwise

@J.K took a few hours to do

After debaffling do you need to get a fuel management system like a cobra power pro? Just not sure if doing this changes how the bike mixes fuel/air
I didn't on my 3007 900 custom. It rides as normal.
Any tips on wiggling the spot welds off? Easily the most frustrating part...
Just keep at it back and fore. Sorry
Great post. I'm from pontypridd. I've done the holesaw bit but can't get the baffle out at all. Been trying for ages.
david morgan yeh it does take ages but stick with it. Hope this vid helped
Docs world lucky 13 yeah it did. Still trying to get the buggers out
david morgan keep at it man they'll come out
Sound great then
What is the size of a metal bit for drilling a hole?
Think I used a 2" bit
@@docsworld9707 How many millimeters is the diameter? I am from Belarus, we have a metric system.
@@yauhen83zhenyc64 50mm or 5cm
@@docsworld9707 Thanks so much for the info friend.

Sounds like a fuel problem check your fuel lines for splits also check the throttle works gd on the cable. First

vn 900 Vulcan classic good motorcycle 👍
live to ride ✌️
Thanks Doc!....you said you get a cuple of HP with a stage 1 or stage 2, but do you lose MPG? on the bike....
Small increase I've found on both. Not noticed any real difference in mpg. But then I don't look just ride lol...

Yeh you will lose fresh oil if you clean out tyres screen. Keep it till the next oil and filter change
@@docsworld9707 funny b/c i asked another vulcan tech, he said, i can do it, its seperate. i think i am not going to try it, hehe
@@docsworld9707 so just take bolt out, then spring, washer, ruber washer, then screen, in that order i think?...and soap/warm wash filter?
Fantastic! Thanks so much
Do you have to retune or adjust the engine after removing the baffles? Is it safe to do on a new bike, or does it need broken in first?
Hi man. No need for retuneing as its electronically done, new bike I'd be cautious because of voiding the warranty....
What was the size on the hole saw .
Hi it was 50mm or 5cm or 2"
Another great video Doc
Does it affect the mot?
It's passed 3 since I debaffeled it. So no my mot guy is gd but he's never mentioned it
how much more HP with phase 1 vs phase 2, too bad you didn't dyno it b4 and after mate?....another great work, thank u sir!
Thanks man. I'm guessing only gaining g around 10hp with stage 2. As air flow is increased.
Very good video. Thanks.
Do you have any issue with it running hot
No. No issues at all. A little popping on off throttling but nothing bad.
Sounded great! Stock ,now sounds like a 13 year olds thrasher.
How loud is it? Is it obnoxiously loud? Or perfect ?
I find it awesome no trouble at all and sounds great
Great video, thanks
Can i know the diameter?? 48mm?
On EFIs do you have to re-tune?
I didn't no
What part of wales u from
South Wales.
Same lol
Thanks for this video 👍
Arnt you worried about damaging your engine?
Not really . I did a lot of research before hand. The baffles are fitted to aid back pressure but their main function is for sound deadening
Where abouts in Wales are you from?
salim saud South Wales. Close to abergavenny
Docs world lucky 13 im half welsh from neath, i was there in july enjoyed watching all the bikes in the good weather.
How long did it take you to take both baffles out?😩😤
Pedro Garcia about twenty min or so to break the weilds
Funny how many bushcrafters can't get the pull stroke !
We put cobra swept on the wifes! Spend the money, and do it right! Or not at all.
I would if I had the cash.until then it's the ghetto fix for me lol
they always say, you need a louder bike, for a smaller prick.
Is that why they can hear your bike coming six blocks away? LOL LOL LOL. Just kidding man.
