I pulled mine out as soon as I got my 15’ 900. Tossed them and have had no issues. Took my bike around the country last year too. I’d say I removed them when the bike had 2000 miles and now were at over 30,000!! These bikes never cease to amaze me as long as maintenance is done on time.

I have also removed it. The most noticeable difference is that there is much less judder when decelerating, and the handle vibration has also been reduced. There is also a slight increase in horsepower. I'm glad I removed it.

I have a few bikes the Vulcan is one of my favorites of all time , I did a partial baffle removal it just sounds Better no more power , and whatever you do do not remove them completely it killed my 1700 had to weld them back in , modify the air box no power increase what so ever , flash the computer or put a programmer on it your pissing in the wind , took these butterflies out , my 50 to 60 roll on big difference, when I take off and accelerate hard it spins the tire a lot more , and yes that high end 5th pull totally different , you can take my word for it or piss your money off . The Butterfly removal works Period

Thank you sir for your comment I'm having the same problem with my Vulcan and I've been thinking about changing the gear ratio that way it slows to RPMs down on the motor the motor is what's causing all the vibrations and I've been debating on getting different pulleys you know for the motor and the wheel to slow the RPMs down I have a 1600 Yamaha road Star that has that already been done to it and it's very comfortable to ride a higher mile per hour and that's what I've been thinking about doing for the Vulcan thank you for your comment sir 👍

Your messing with the A/F mixture on a hard programmed ecu power curve that was tunned with the restrictors in place. Like another mentioned above... your mid range does suffer a little but on highway at top end it doesnt front dive on decel as much(engine braking)
Quicker response on throttle but smoothness is obsolete. I have cobra dragsters and a DIY open airbox so im already at max bolt ons lol but the most i noticed is more comfortable top end, 1-2 better take off, mid range 3-4 is suffering but not like "oh crap i need those back in" top gear at 70 and needing to pass i feel like its got enough umph to get around safer.
