Because I feel they have been downplayed in different aspects over the years so I wanted to showcase their proficency.

I enjoyed the video and understand the sentiment but with a title like “who is the best singer” you attract people who are dying to compare and rate them
*Mariah* is the perfectionist. Her music is complex, and every live note she sings strives to maintain the integrity of the music that was perfected in the studio. *Celine* delivers perfection. Her vocals are so consistent that her live performances could pass for studio recordings. *Whitney* was perfection. Her studio recordings were flawless. In live performances, she risked moments of imperfection to get to a place that was beyond perfect.
I won't compare them. All three has things that each other can't do. All are unique. I also think using 'was' for Celine and Mariah isn't needed as they both slay in vocals up to today. Especially Celine. Her range has grown as she got older, something that is almost unknown for other singers. All three were good. The remaining two are still good. No best, no better, no worst, no lesser.

No. It's a fact tbh that Mariah & Celine's overall supported range regressed then when they're in their prime. I mean that's why it's called as "prime". Andreanata Noivan her lows improve a lot with age I think that’s what theyre referring to. Celine has had much more ease in her upper belts now to. I wouldnt say her range grew, but it the upper and lower part of her range improved on a skill level
If you watch lots of celine clips from especially her tours today and even back 2009, 2012/2013 you'll see that Celine gained upper and lower range. She remained a good live singer. She gained higher range but she lost a power. It's natural since she's getting old. She lipsync? Yes. Her songs are that demanding and if you sing it all live at every show then you have to pay the price which is loosing or ruining your voice. Lipsync saved her voice over the years. At least she didn't done a show just lipsyncing all of her songs 🙄 if you watch her shows, you'll see she only lipsync 2/3 songs out of her usual setlist with a total of 10-12 songs.

This video is great. I love all three, but Mariah’s voice combined with her amazing music just makes her my favorite. I still have respect for Whitney & Celine though, they’re amazing!
Vocal Trinity ❤ They are different vocalists ,its more what someone likes, who liked power and rich round tone its Whitney, who likes light and buttery tone its Mariah, Celine has more sharp tone with some cool rasp in higher register. They are all very agile singers, Mariah has whistle, Whitney best head voice ever, Celine is very diverse singer. For me its Whitney based on live performances, than Mimi and Celine. 🙂

Whitney had the best tone and the most powerful voice ever and her head voice was Godly, that alone for me is what makes her the best vocalist. I TOTALLY agree with everything. Mariah has also showcased more vocal skills throughout her career (even live), not to mention the amount of vocal colors (Celine and Whitney always sound the same in every song). Mariah also loses to the two in vocal strenght (due to her Fach and also unfortunatelly for having nodules, which makes her voice lose consistency) and BARELY in breath control when it's live (especially after her prime), I mean, Celine and especially Whitney was able to hold phrases longer than Mariah (a specialist, vocal doctor and vocal coach said that the unability to sustain notes very long has to do with nodules, especially when they are swollen/affecting your voice), but still she has more breath control than most of today so-called "great singers". Actually, most (if not all) of her songs require above-average breath control, it is so much long melismas, registers changing, falsetto, airy vocals, etc.

All these singers are incredibly talented vocalist ny nature but Whitney was truly god gifted with a voice that was almost supernatural the things she cpuld do with it without even trying. I have never heard a more beautiful sound be produced from the human body than thay woman's voice! And EVERY KNOWS IT! 💯
Whitney wins because the other 2 lipped to pre-recorded vocals for TONS of performances ever since the mid 90’s. With Whitney even when she didn’t have her voice anymore still chose to sing live and give real emotion and soul. And she never sings the same song the same way twice, she’s a genius vocalist.

1.Celine- Her natural range along with her power and rasp in her higher register is the defining factor for me. Her climaxes on “All by myself” and “Power of Love” are the defining moments for me. 2.Mariah- Her songwriting along with the harmonies and intricacies of her background vocals are so beautiful and unmatched. 3.Whitney-Her tone and smooth transitions into falsetto were her best vocal qualities for me along with her power and gospel riffs.
It all boils down to preference. They’ve passed this mile high benchmark to the point that comparisons like these are incredibly hard because they’re all amazing. The bickering between the Whitney, Mariah, and Celine fans needs to stop. Can’t we just accept that they were all legends? Of course, my preference is Whitney because her voice “does it for me,” but that might be different for someone else, and I’m okay with that as a Whitney stan. People need to calm down sometimes, and be tolerant to opposing opinions.

Celine for me, shes such a great performer and brings such depth, feeling and emotion. Mariah has a nice voice, good lower register and I admire her colourful belts and versatility. Whitney has a wonderful tone, power and exceptional head voice. All 3 are amazing and its a matter of taste.

I know this is purely subjective, but Celine Dion's timbre is out of this world. I think Whitney was the best even though Mariah was my favorite. But Celine Dion had the best timbre in whatever language she was singing. She unarguably had the most dominant timbre of the three.
I love the 3 , but celine is my favorite because of her angelic and soft voice . Her riffs and runs are always on point and her range is insane . Ican say she has the highest pitch amongst the 3 . She can sing just anything from poprock to pop to rnb and ballad . Her live performances are out of this world . And she managed to maintain most, if not all of her golden voice upto now .

Celine has something extraordinarily refined, clear and piercing in her tone and vibrato. Her super clean delivery of vocal runs, perfect intonation and angelic sound, power and projection are unmatched.
I love them all, but Mariah will always take #1 in my heart. Just such a beautiful voice all around, and she mastered every facet of her vocal range and is an incredible song writer. Her songs make me feel so many things that Celine and Whitney songs have never made me feel, though I do love them still. Celine Dion is the #1 BEST, she has longevity, did not lose her voice, lived right, well respected and loved, does NOT use auto tune, I think she has the most beautiful voice. I do love Whitney very much and Mariah was very good but in time the latter 2 lost their voices.. Celine is still going strong, a long gig still singing in Las Vegas and other countries, so , again, Celine Dion is my choice.

It’s so epic, I think Mariah is so strong with the vocal range but where Mariah is weak at Whitney is strong, the head voice for example and the vibrato. But Whitney didn’t express her love with high notes it was all STRONG RASPY BELTS AND THEN, she’d go into this most beautiful head voice that is the best among any singer! The three of them can deliver vocals! No comparison needed. Also, they are very different vocalists. Celine is the ballad queen. She can sustain a strong and powerful mid belt with amazing resonance. She's also the most consistent vocalist overall. Whitney was the best performer overall. She was the voice. Her vibrato was unbelievable. She has the strongest and most powerful mid belts. Not to mention her heavenly head voice. Mariah, on the other hand, is the most unique out of the three. She knows how to make a song that's only meant for her. Her harmony is so underrated, yet heavenly. Her crazy agility and transition is out of this world. Her lower register is so dark and heavy, and her mixed voice is just so pleasant to hear.
It really depends on how you define singer. If you're talking emotional connection, Whitney by far wins. Whitney had the ability to touch the hearts of whoever listened to her sing. Beyond having a beautiful voice, and great power, Whitney had the true gift of emotionally connecting to an individual like you wouldn't believe. The other two, I don't believe anyway, had that to the effect of Whitney. If you're talking vocal dynamics, Mariah by far wins. Along with having a naturally angelic voice that can coo her audience, she had the gift of mastering her voice to the point that she could practically do anything vocally in whatever register she wished to do it in. Her vocal dynamics were second to none. The other two, not so much. If we're talking vocal reservation, Celine by far wins. I don't think in their prime, Celine really stood out amongst the three, but as time went on and the other two were vocally declining, Celine was steadily peaking. Celine was very smart about her voice and how to use it, and because of that, she can still sing songs she made nearly 30 years ago as if she was in her youth.

Emotional connection is completely subjective... Mariah's voice is the one that saved my life when I was 15, not Whitney's or Celine's! Regardless, all three are great singers. Emotional connection is not a great way to measure the technical skill of a singer. I'm not particularly moved by lots of Whitney's songs, but I can still admit she was one of the greatest singers to have ever graced the mic!

Without the whistles whitney could definitely sing her songs (at different points in her career). But i don't think mariah voice could produc the tone and power to sing alot of whitney's songs though. Mariahs voice lacked power but made up for it with being able to throw out a whistle or go real low.

They are all great singers and I love them all, but Whitney hands down. She has the very unique ability to showcase power while still being melodious, caressingly soft and yet vibrant, which is extremely rare. Even at her highest notes, while Celine and Mariah can sometimes sound a bit too 'noisy, there is a fullness and richness to Whitney's that makes you want to hear more.

I wouldn't compare these three female vocalists. Each of them has their unique strength and vocal technique over the other. But, in my heart, Whitney Houston has a special place in my heart. I love her voice a lot, from the first time I bought her album, on a cassette up till today. I will always listen to her songs for many more years to come. She's accompanied me from the glorious 80's up to today. Whitney Houston is irreplaceable in my heart. No one comes close ever, and I mean no disrespect for the other vocal powerhouse. However, when i got introduced to Mariah Carey, I've been a fan eversince. There's just something in the way she sings. The color. The drama in her voice. For me Mariah because she can do more than Whitney or Celine. Celine tone is sharp Whitney tone is bold but Mariah's tone is mixed which to me is the most pleasant tone of all. The Vocal Trinity💜💚💙
I hope you'll make this kind of video for another singers with fantastic supported range & vocal capabilities but even more underrated & unpopular than vocal trinity(like Sohyang, Natalie Weiss, Vanessa Amorosi, Lisa Fischer & Huang Qishan). They deserve more attention & credit for their awesome vocal technique too tbh. Them + vocal trinity + Beyonce + Aretha Franklin are all excellent vocalists in non-operatic music!!!
Yimauris Beltre Cespeses I don't really consider Monica as part of them. For one I didn't even know what's her entire consistent range. But what I see from her mix, it's impressive support-wise but she didn't offer that much variety of skills in this register(like phrasing, placement changes, dynamic control, agility & etc). Regardless she's great & I think she just falls closely behind them.
Note that I'm talking about healthy and consistent technique not extreme notes (Neutral larnyx, minimal tension, proper breath support, optimal placement and good phrasing alongside with resonance.) Also only talking about their prime time. Low notes D3-B3 #1 Mariah: The fullest lower register out of the 3. Lowest supported note, though going lower she tends to lower her larnyx by pushing it down with the back of her tongue. Still very fluid, consistent and agile register for her and got only better after her so called prime. #2 Tie between Whitney and Celine: They both have the same qualities as Mariah but not as low and not as full.. Good quality vocals anyways. =) Mid belts C4-C#5 #1 Whitney: She is a Spinto so she posesses this rich and pure tone by nature, combine that with proper belting technique and a killer phrasing abilities and breath support and you have THE VOICE. She was very consistent with her mid belts for 2 decades and never really had too bad days #2 Tie between Mariah and Celine: They both have all the same qualities as Whitney but they are both LIGHT LYRIC sopranoes so they lack that richness and fullnes that Whitney posessed. I have to also say that Whitney was way more consistent than these 2 ladies. Once again though, very good quality vocals and great moments in this area of their voice from both of them. Mixed voice/high chest D5-G#5 #1 Mariah: As a LIGHT LYRIC Soprano, her voice got only better and more colorful when we went higher up. She was able to maintain her buttery and girly tone all the way up to G#5 also keeping the technique there. She had a lot consistency issues even during her prime above F5 (mostly due to nodules) but when she was properly rested and warmed up, she could reach something that we can can call supreme perfection. Effortles G5s, effortles F#5s. Most of her songs revolved around the high end of her range and I can totally see why. #2 Whitney: She was pretty much able to keep up her beautiful tone up in the clouds though thinning out as we go higher. She had an amazing technique just like Mariah did but not so good timbre as that is what she was known for. #3 Celine: So first of all, this is not any loser spot. They are all legends. So Celine. She has a very good ability to sustain high notes for a very long periods of time without any sign of fatigue or shaking in her tone. Only thing that sets her apart from Whitney is that her technique really flops above Eb5 becoming very nasal, and sometimes even throaty (which means strain) and that is not a healthy way to sing. (No hate Celine fans) Head voice A5-D6 #1 Whitney: She had really mastered this register, combine her tone with her ability to be fluid, agile and well supported all the way up to D6 made her headvoice nothing else but exceptional. #2 Celine: Same words for Celine to be honest. Only thing that really sets her apart from Whitney is that she is consistent 1 note lower... YES #3 Mariah: Little to no usage of this register. Though I somehow like her tone the most out of the 3 in this register, she was really an amateur in this register compared to Whitney and Mariah. She still posessed a proper technique though. Whistles Eb5-B7 #1 Mariah: She was a master of Whistles, do I need to really say anything.. agile, easily accesible... a true Supreme Songbird. #2 Whitney: Though almost never seen using this register, I have seen a clip of her hitting some pretty good whistle notes (drunk)... that was irrelevant. #3 Celine: Never seen using Whistles. OTHER ASPECTS OF SINGING Agility #1 Mariah: The most precise out of them all. She was classified a coloratura anyways. #2 Whitney and Celine: Still amazing agility. Sustained notes: #1 Celine: Best ability to sustain notes without no fatigue. #2 Whitney: 2nd best. #3 Mariah: Sustaining was not really her thing but she could do it near perfectly when she wanted to. CONCLUSION: Mariah is always the winner for me but it seems that she was actually the most vocally able out of them all. I still appreciate both Whitney and Celine just as much. They are all legends and comparing them is not really fair... (but I had to) Sorry Whitney and Celine fans that your fave wasn't first but thats how it goes... SORRY FOR THE VERY LONG COMMENT. TL;DR: #1 Mariah #2 Whitney #3 Celine THOUGH THEY ALL ARE AMAZING.
*In my humble opinion Mariah Carey is the best among the three in terms of techniques. But I will comment on my observation on this video. Her first performance at the NBA she supported a bunch of crazy low notes there (maybe C3?) and it's part of her supported notes ofc because she's focused on her lows there. I mean if she really focused on that particular moment she will nailed it. It's like when the Vanishing part on lows, it's lo notes yes but you can hear that she was backing up and you can see that she can go lower than that but she can't because it's not the focused on that performance. In American Idol 2008 (12 years after in her prime) she supported D3 there. I mean if you give her task that "sing more on your low notes" she can give you that anytime you want. It's just she doesn't want to. In Whitney's part on these clips even tho no contest that she dominated the HV but her HV was so shaky and cracked sometimes. And Celine is good I love her.* Their supported (mix) belts was: Mariah Carey: F#5-G5 Whitney Houston: E5 Celine Dion: D5 *I'm saying was their mix supported belts. Whitney's upper belts after E5 wasn't the same as her belts in E5 and below so...*

Andreanata Noivan her lows improve a lot with age I think that’s what theyre referring to. Celine has had much more ease in her upper belts now to. I wouldnt say her range grew, but it the upper and lower part of her range improved on a skill level
If you watch lots of celine clips from especially her tours today and even back 2009, 2012/2013 you'll see that Celine gained upper and lower range. She remained a good live singer. She gained higher range but she lost a power. It's natural since she's getting old. She lipsync? Yes. Her songs are that demanding and if you sing it all live at every show then you have to pay the price which is loosing or ruining your voice. Lipsync saved her voice over the years. At least she didn't done a show just lipsyncing all of her songs 🙄 if you watch her shows, you'll see she only lipsync 2/3 songs out of her usual setlist with a total of 10-12 songs.

I TOTALLY agree with everything. Mariah has also showcased more vocal skills throughout her career (even live), not to mention the amount of vocal colors (Celine and Whitney always sound the same in every song). Mariah also loses to the two in vocal strenght (due to her Fach and also unfortunatelly for having nodules, which makes her voice lose consistency) and BARELY in breath control when it's live (especially after her prime), I mean, Celine and especially Whitney was able to hold phrases longer than Mariah (a specialist, vocal doctor and vocal coach said that the unability to sustain notes very long has to do with nodules, especially when they are swollen/affecting your voice), but still she has more breath control than most of today so-called "great singers". Actually, most (if not all) of her songs require above-average breath control, it is so much long melismas, registers changing, falsetto, airy vocals, etc.

1.Celine- Her natural range along with her power and rasp in her higher register is the defining factor for me. Her climaxes on “All by myself” and “Power of Love” are the defining moments for me.

3.Whitney-Her tone and smooth transitions into falsetto were her best vocal qualities for me along with her power and gospel riffs.

I love the 3 , but celine is my favorite because of her angelic and soft voice . Her riffs and runs are always on point and her range is insane . Ican say she has the highest pitch amongst the 3 . It’s so epic, I think Mariah is so strong with the vocal range but where Mariah is weak at Whitney is strong, the head voice for example and the vibrato. But just like Whitney weak spots is mariah strong spots like the high notes. But Whitney didn’t express her love with high notes it was all STRONG RASPY BELTS AND THEN, she’d go into this most beautiful head voice that is the best among any singer! Mariah is more elegant and more into todays style of music as well and just gospel Whitney Houston sing soulfully gospel songs. Mariah voice is like a piano so you really cannot compare them.

The three of them can deliver vocals! No comparison needed. Also, they are very different vocalists. Celine is the ballad queen. She can sustain a strong and powerful mid belt with amazing resonance. She's also the most consistent vocalist overall. Whitney was the best performer overall. She was the voice. Her vibrato was unbelievable. She has the strongest and most powerful mid belts. Not to mention her heavenly head voice. Mariah, on the other hand, is the most unique out of the three. She knows how to make a song that's only meant for her. Her harmony is so underrated, yet heavenly. Her crazy agility and transition is out of this world. Her lower register is so dark and heavy, and her mixed voice is just so pleasant to hear.

If you're talking emotional connection, Whitney by far wins. Whitney had the ability to touch the hearts of whoever listened to her sing. Beyond having a beautiful voice, and great power, Whitney had the true gift of emotionally connecting to an individual like you wouldn't believe. The other two, I don't believe anyway, had that to the effect of Whitney.
If you're talking vocal dynamics, Mariah by far wins. Along with having a naturally angelic voice that can coo her audience, she had the gift of mastering her voice to the point that she could practically do anything vocally in whatever register she wished to do it in. Her vocal dynamics were second to none. The other two, not so much.
If we're talking vocal reservation, Celine by far wins. I don't think in their prime, Celine really stood out amongst the three, but as time went on and the other two were vocally declining, Celine was steadily peaking. Celine was very smart about her voice and how to use it, and because of that, she can still sing songs she made nearly 30 years ago as if she was in her youth.
SFFL 1996 Vocal Dynamics wouldn't still go to Whitney; her ability to do things like Messa di voce is still quite unparalleled in Mainstream Music (With Beyonce being the closest). I think you probably meant Vocal Versatility/Ability with Mariah 😊

Emotional connection is completely subjective... Mariah's voice is the one that saved my life when I was 15, not Whitney's or Celine's! Regardless, all three are great singers. Emotional connection is not a great way to measure the technical skill of a singer. I hope you'll make this kind of video for another singers with fantastic supported range & vocal capabilities but even more underrated & unpopular than vocal trinity(like Sohyang, Natalie Weiss, Vanessa Amorosi, Lisa Fischer & Huang Qishan). They deserve more attention & credit for their awesome vocal technique too tbh. Them + vocal trinity + Beyonce + Aretha Franklin are all excellent vocalists in non-operatic music!!!

#1 Mariah: The fullest lower register out of the 3. Lowest supported note, though going lower she tends to lower her larnyx by pushing it down with the back of her tongue. Still very fluid, consistent and agile register for her and got only better after her so called prime.
#2 Tie between Whitney and Celine: They both have the same qualities as Mariah but not as low and not as full.. Good quality vocals anyways. =)
Mid belts C4-C#5
#1 Whitney: She is a Spinto so she posesses this rich and pure tone by nature, combine that with proper belting technique and a killer phrasing abilities and breath support and you have THE VOICE. She was very consistent with her mid belts for 2 decades and never really had too bad days
#2 Tie between Mariah and Celine: They both have all the same qualities as Whitney but they are both LIGHT LYRIC sopranoes so they lack that richness and fullnes that Whitney posessed. I have to also say that Whitney was way more consistent than these 2 ladies. Once again though, very good quality vocals and great moments in this area of their voice from both of them.
Mixed voice/high chest D5-G#5
#1 Mariah: As a LIGHT LYRIC Soprano, her voice got only better and more colorful when we went higher up. She was able to maintain her buttery and girly tone all the way up to G#5 also keeping the technique there. She had a lot consistency issues even during her prime above F5 (mostly due to nodules) but when she was properly rested and warmed up, she could reach something that we can can call supreme perfection. Effortles G5s, effortles F#5s. Most of her songs revolved around the high end of her range and I can totally see why.
#2 Whitney: She was pretty much able to keep up her beautiful tone up in the clouds though thinning out as we go higher. She had an amazing technique just like Mariah did but not so good timbre as that is what she was known for.
#3 Celine: So first of all, this is not any loser spot. They are all legends.
So Celine. She has a very good ability to sustain high notes for a very long periods of time without any sign of fatigue or shaking in her tone. Only thing that sets her apart from Whitney is that her technique really flops above Eb5 becoming very nasal, and sometimes even throaty (which means strain) and that is not a healthy way to sing. (No hate Celine fans)
Head voice A5-D6
#1 Whitney: She had really mastered this register, combine her tone with her ability to be fluid, agile and well supported all the way up to D6 made her headvoice nothing else but exceptional.
#2 Celine: Same words for Celine to be honest. Only thing that really sets her apart from Whitney is that she is consistent 1 note lower... YES
#3 Mariah: Little to no usage of this register. Though I somehow like her tone the most out of the 3 in this register, she was really an amateur in this register compared to Whitney and Mariah. She still posessed a proper technique though.
Whistles Eb5-B7
#1 Mariah: She was a master of Whistles, do I need to really say anything.. agile, easily accesible... a true Supreme Songbird.
#2 Whitney: Though almost never seen using this register, I have seen a clip of her hitting some pretty good whistle notes (drunk)... that was irrelevant.
#3 Celine: Never seen using Whistles.
OTHER ASPECTS OF SINGING
Agility
#1 Mariah: The most precise out of them all. She was classified a coloratura anyways.
#2 Whitney and Celine: Still amazing agility.
Sustained notes:
#1 Celine: Best ability to sustain notes without no fatigue.
#2 Whitney: 2nd best.
#3 Mariah: Sustaining was not really her thing but she could do it near perfectly when she wanted to.
CONCLUSION: Mariah is always the winner for me but it seems that she was actually the most vocally able out of them all. I still appreciate both Whitney and Celine just as much. They are all legends and comparing them is not really fair... (but I had to) Sorry Whitney and Celine fans that your fave wasn't first but thats how it goes... SORRY FOR THE VERY LONG COMMENT.

*In my humble opinion Mariah Carey is the best among the three in terms of techniques. But I will comment on my observation on this video. Her first performance at the NBA she supported a bunch of crazy low notes there (maybe C3?) and it's part of her supported notes ofc because she's focused on her lows there. I mean if she really focused on that particular moment she will nailed it. It's like when the Vanishing part on lows, it's lo notes yes but you can hear that she was backing up and you can see that she can go lower than that but she can't because it's not the focused on that performance.
