Every time I come back to watch Cissie and Ada clips I feel safe and nostalgia reigns. I love Les and Roy here, wonderful comedy which makes me feel good. Best tonic if you have had a bad day.

Love this one! Roy Barraclough just holds it together whenever Les ad-libs. The corpsing is as funny as the dialogue. RIP Les. At least we have these clips to remind us of your talent.

Hmmm. Mrs Browns boys come to mind. But they were not around 9 years ago. There is also a little bit of swearing in that show. Still same idea only with family involvement. Hope you watched that show. I’m sure you would have enjoyed it. I left Scotland, at the tender age of 10. 1971. I missed all of these shows. I now appreciate RUclips more than ever. Bringing to me things I should have been brought up with. I’m pretty sure even Mrs Browns boys was even brought to Australia much much later than the Citz of Uk got it. I absolutely adore good British comedy. ( along with Beano , Buster, Dandy and Topper). Much love Audz. Xx
They ARE a couple of late middle aged women. That's how fantastic the talent is here. Roy Barraclough is the perfect foil for Les Dawson's sublime character. Both made real by their acting, they gel so well.
Brilliant to see again ,it 2022 and a sad time for everyone but looking at these videos makes me ache with laughter, memories of real humour, RIP to Les and Roy. The comedian John Culshaw is doing a tribute to Les touring around UK soon, hes really good 🙂💕
